My wife and I just moved to the area, and were looking for someone to inspect a used Subaru Outback we just bought. I contacted Fred with the great reviews I saw online, and he was quick to set up an appointment to check it out for us. He took the time to go for a drive with us to address our concerns, took it into the shop, and reviewed with me anything he noticed that may or may not be a concern down the road. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and most important to me, seemed very genuine, honest and willing to educate for a very reasonable price! Fred at Suby Solutions has saved my car on more than one occasion, even going so far as getting a new transmission in over the weekend when mine failed. I know I can trust his word when it comes to my car which means a lot to me. He also supports several Subaru rally and hillclimb cars which I have seen compete. When people are willing to trust their lives in racing to work he's done I think that says a lot! My Subaru is running better and stronger than ever thanks to Fred.

Another great experience with my Subaru getting the best service possible by the best. Not only is fred honest , his work speaks for itself. Over the years he has looked after my Subaru s and always made sure that they ran properly and advised me of things before they became issues and helped my family save countless dollars in the process. If you want an honest and respectful person to work on your vehicle and treat it like their own don t go anywhere else. This is why people travel out of state to have their vehicle worked on by fred at subysolutions. Thanks again for taking care of us

Fred is super knowledgeable about Subarus. Brought my outback to get worked on and diagnosed. Brought a 2015 Forester from a dealer to get looked at before buying, and walked away feeling confident.

Fred is fantastic. Installed a few aftermarket parts on my car and provide a lot of guidance and advice for a proper set up. Specializes in Subarus, will be using this shop until Fred retires.

I recently got a brand new 2018 Wrx Sti. I Was recommended by a handful of people to go to Fred if I ever wanted to do anything as far as performance upgrades. I went and talked with Fred who is a super nice guy, and I could tell right away he knew his trade well. He told me exactly what I needed and made it super easy. I went to stage 2 from stock. He said 2 to 3 days. I dropped it off after 6pm on Friday and it was finished at 330pm saturday! He installed new downpipe, air intake, boost selenoid, catback exhaust and had it protuned in less than 24 hours . Totally hooked me up . It's called suby solutions for a reason folks! If you have a Subaru and want to upgrade or just need regular work done on it, he is the man to call.

This happened 3 years ago but I used to have a 2013 subaru sti hatchbach that had a blown shortblock. So I ordered a higher performance shortblock and had him teardown the old block and put the new one togeather and drop the new setup into the car. Ultimately his pricing was very fair, but his work was very sloppy. I had to go back and fix a bunch of things he failed to do and a couple major things he failed to do was install the aftermarket stage 2 clutch properly. Was about to leave my driveway for work one morning, and went to push the clutch in an the throwout bearing ended up pulling out of the pressure plate. I ended up having to fix it myself because he refused to give any sort of money back as getting the car to him would be hard as I lived in northern nh at the time and that was 5hr away. Also for the selectable center diff, he severed the wiring harness by jacking the transmission bell housing into the floor tub severing almost all the wires for the center diff. I also had to fix this myself. Overall just a bad experience with this guy.

If you own a Subaru, look no further than Fred. Fred is an encyclopedia's worth of information. He is extremely fair priced and won't put his name on anything unless it is done right.

If I had the ability to give this review an extra gold star I would . Fred is unbelievably skilled and passionate about his work . He is the needle in the hay stack for the Subaru world .

Greg has worked on our vehicles or many years. He is great about getting things done the first time. He is honest about things that just need a little tweek and not a big repair. His prices are very fair. He is prompt and very nice. You can't go wrong with Duells Garage.

Suby Solutions did my timing belt and waterpump, valve cover gaskets and spark plugs. Save yourself the headache and just bring it to Fred.

By far the best Subaru mechanic in and around the Albany area. There's an abundance of high mileage Subaru's in this area and he's the reason why.
