swung in here at 3:30pm on a Friday with a misfiring cylinder, and Tom & his team were able to diagnose, run to the parts store to grab an ignition wire, and get me back on the road before closing for the weekend. extremely good service, the kind that gets harder and harder to find these days. very honest & very fair. can't recommend them highly enough. thanks tom & team!

Tom and Michelle are absolutely fantastic. I feel so lucky to have found them towing, repairs, tires, they do it all. Pricing is reasonable, and the work is very transparent. They do what s right for what s right s sake I wouldn t hesitate to recommend!

Had a wonderful day at Bellayre Ski resort in the Catskills region (NY) with the family. When the snowstorm hit, my car got stuck really bad near the parking slot.Soon enough, skiers/customers started giving me names to call for a tow and, top of the list, they all mentioned Tom as a reliable professional.I called him and despite the extremely challenging road conditions he arrived soon. Tom was really skilled at clearing a path, towing, and getting my car back in work conditions. A truly expert.On top of that, Tom and his wife (that was working with him that night), are super kind, competent and thoughtful caring and smiling to my kids. He made sure I was able to drive until the end of the road leading to the main road. This is really more than you can expect as a customer.I truly recommend Tom Shamro.

Had my rim damaged on the way to Belleayre Ski Resort. Tom the owner was super welcoming and didn't overcharge me for the work done on my tire. If you ever have car issues up in this area I highly highly highly recommend this place. Great shop.

What a great experience with Tom and his speedy roadside service! I was in Fleischmanns, NY for the first time for a long weekend in Oct 2020 with my wife and two young children. We noticed a flat before we were about to leave, it was the first flat in my life, ugh! We felt helpless and were in a cabin way up on a hill and not easily accessible. We called Shamros Tire & Auto Services, spoke to Tom, and he was at our cabin in literally five minutes in his pickup truck, we couldn t believe how fast he arrived. He was so nice, he listened to me explain the issue, then he quickly got our car jacked-up and the tire off. After diagnosing the issue as a bad sensor on the external tire valve, he took the tire back to his shop, fixed it up, and arrived back to finish the job. Thirty minutes later we were ready to hit the road for the 2.5 hour ride back to NYC. I ve heard horror stories about people having to pay exorbitant amounts of money when having a car issue, and Tom s service was the EXACT OPPOSITE. We were shocked at the low cost of the roadside service. I offered to follow him back to his shop to pay, but Tom took our credit card number and said he d run it later, saying if he had any issues, he d give us a call. He texted us an invoice picture 30 minutes later for our records including the details of the new valve. What an incredible experience that we ll never forget, being in an unfamiliar place, needing help, and Tom coming to our rescue. Chuck from Big Indian Towing also stopped by in case we were in need of a tow, but he and Tom spoke as they know each other, and they concluded it was a simpler solution. We have another trip to Fleischmann s in three months and our positive memory of our tire and Tom s assistance will certainly be a fun topic of discussion. We were on vacation when my front tire fell apart, and the spare wheel that came with the car just didn't fit. The first shop I called couldn't service my car that day, but he recommended Shamos. Tom, the owner, towed me out of an awkward driveway, got the tire I needed, and I was back in business within a short time. He was very nice, and very professional: I've never seen a shop mechanic tighten lug nuts, then check them with a torque wrench.Service: Auto maintenance

Tom and his crew were able to troubleshoot my car to the extent that nobody else was able to. Before heading to Shamro's, I was at three other garages who could not figure out the problem. I had a set of new tires mounted, balanced, and installed last fall, then swapped them out for the winter tires until last week.Earlier today, I noticed a slow leak in one tire. Tommy told me to come in. His mechanic fixed the problem, re-mounted the tire, and sent me on my way -- at no charge. (I did tip the mechanic, though.)All in all, this is a good, honest, local shop that stands behind their work. Highly recommended.

Tom really helped me out. Had an issue with an after market install that was botched. Tom got me in quick and fixed even quicker at a great price. Being new to the area I am Happy to have found a reliable shop to use. A++ experience

Searched along route in Google and they were highly recommended. I agree, they are great mechanics and finding a good one is difficult as we all know. I only used them to replace a trailer tire that they had a used one to get me down the road, but was impressed by the owner and other regular customers that we talked to. Tires are there side work... Call before looking for tires. But mechanics, top notch!

Tom is a class act. My car broke down on a road trip and I had no clue who to turn to. Very grateful to have found Shamros. Tom went above and beyond the call, and was always above board with me which is a rare trait to find amongst mechanics.

Awesome service! Nice guy..Had my car disabled rear tire came off with bolts stuck in threads.. big kudos to big indian towing service and big thanks to Chuck..Shamros repair my vehicle same day and even took me and son to belleayre mountain so wont miss our day of skiing and picked me up at the end of the day. Very grateful to have people like them when you are in need of help..

Every other Auto-Shop in the area has tried to rip me off except this one. Shamros always does quality work hasn't been wrong on the repairs or charged un-worked hours. Parts are always priced at average part prices.

I walked in yesterday morning telling Tom Shamros "I'm afraid" as I could tell my brakes were shot. He had me all fixed up by the end of the day and fixed the caliper so we wouldn't have to replace it. Love this dude and my Pooch loves the treats.
