I ll start off by saying my International dump truck was sitting for about a year before it was towed to their shop. Not only did they get my dump truck running and fix all fuel related problems. They completed all jobs In a timely manner and thoroughly explained what they wanted to do and the price before work was done. extremely grateful for these guys and would recommend them to anyone!

As a Falconer businessman for almost 40 years I was shocked when I found out that I-86 was as crooked as they get.Brought my truck in for an alignment after purchasing 4 brand new tires.Roger told me I needed 2 lower ball joints & 2 inner tie rods before he could alighn my truck. He wanted between $1300.00 & $1400.00 to do the work. Sounded a little high on the estimate so I would be getting a second opinion on so called needed repairs.Mind you my truck is a 2019 Chevy Silverado 3500HD with 22,700 miles. After making an appointment with a shop that specializes in " chassis" repairs, i was informed that there were no repairs needed & that whomever told me that was " a crook"After that i made an appointment with Dunn tire in Blasdell & they got me in the same day. They performed the alignment, charged me the same as I-86 garage & told me that whoever said I needed ball joints & tie rods were a lying crook.Pathetic that you can't trust this garage whom I have used before in the past for the exact same job. Shame on you .

I am an over-the-road trucker, and I have been criss-crossing the United States for over 20 years. I would have to say that in all my years on the road, these guys provided the best customer service experience I've ever encountered anywhere. Just real nice friendly folks. :)I did a pre-trip inspection on my semi truck this morning, and discovered I had a flat tire. Because it costs about $300 for a road service vehicle to come out, I decided to limp the 80 miles to their shop. I found them on truckdown.com, and had no idea if they were any good or not.Needless to say, they exceeded all of my expectations, save for one. I will address that one issue at the end of this review. It is blitz week, when DOT inspectors at the scales routinely pull in every truck for inspections, for a 7-Day period every year. It is insanely hard to get any work done on a truck during this week, because every trucker is getting last minute work done, so they can avoid problems with the DOT. I had been to seven different truck stops a few days earlier, trying to get another flat tire repaired. So, when I rolled into their shop, I wasn't expecting to get work done right away. It was a very pleasant surprise when they told me to immediately back up to a door. In the shop, I was surprised again. A very nicely furnished lounge, with free chocolate and a Keurig coffee machine. :0I had a nice conversation with Rick about his service in the Air Force, and with Tina about her time as an over-the-road trucker, before she settled down at this company. The shop did a fantastic job, fixed my tire expertly, and even gave my dog Lucy a biscuit for the road! :0I would highly recommend this shop to anyone wanting to get service done on their car or semi truck. These are great people who take pride in their work. I believe they work on all makes, but are Ford diesel specialists. They even offered me some advice on resurrecting a dead diesel F-250 pickup I have sitting in my yard. Unfortunately, my yard is in Knoxville, Tennessee, or I would definitely have them work on it. :). Heck, I might end up throwing my pickup on a flatbed, hauling it to Falconer, NY, and having them work on it anyway. ;) They are that good! So, why did I give them four, instead of five stars?Price. I was a little surprised by the bill. As I mentioned above, I had an identical flat tire repair done a few days ago, at a name brand truck stop. The bill was literally less than a third of what I was charged at this shop. I was expecting to pay somewhere between 50 and $100, and it was significantly more than that. Later, I called the shop and asked them to break down the bill for me. They were very courteous, and explained that I had been charged a drive-in fee. I've never encountered this before. Evidently, they had to take one of their technicians off a repair in progress, so that they could get me back on the road as quickly as possible. I appreciate that, but I would have liked to have been notified about that beforehand. I still saved a lot of time and money over what it would have cost, had I waited for a mobile repair service, but I paid a lot more than I would have, had I got the repair done at a truck stop chain. Then again, I probably would have had to wait a very, very long time, and would not have had anywhere near as good a customer service experience. To sum up, I greatly enjoyed meeting the people who work at this place, and I'm very satisfied with their work. I would use them again for any kind of truck repair, but probably not for tire repair, because of the aforementioned drive-in fee.Maybe this is a common thing in New York state? I don't know. I would recommend this place to any of my trucker friends, but would counsel them to ask about the drive-in fee first. That way, there would be no unpleasant surprises. If not for that fee, I would have given this shop more than five stars. Maybe seven or eight stars. :)Thank you I-86 Auto and Truck Repair!Rick Wade and Lucy the DogFlying Flamingo FreightNacogdoches, TXTruck #555

Had problems with my truck not starting. Had it towed in and they charged me for a diagnostic fee, replaced my starter and repaired the battery terminals which I had anti corrosion spray on. Took truck home and the next time I went to start it it wouldn't start again. They came to tow it and didn't know about bypassing the shift solenoid so they drug it onto the flatbed. They found a shift linkage out of adjustment and charged me for another diagnostic fee and more repair. Long story short, it cost me over $1,000 for an out of adjustment linkage. I won't be back. Still looking for an honest mechanic.**UPDATE** I just mounted my plow and found that they had disconnected the ground for it and never hooked it back up. Also, since they were the last to do anything with my battery, my ground terminal on the battery was loose. I used this as an opportunity to check them out for repairing my fleet of trucks. Needless to say, they have lost thousand$$ because it appears their mechanic is somewhat incompetent.

I haul milk out of Pennsylvania/New York and while backing into my last stop (with a full load,) I blew a pressure line from my power steering pump.. LUCKILY I WAS CLOSE TO I-86 Truck and Auto Repair! The guys down there went above and beyond to accommodate me and get me moving down the road. Although they had a full line up of work to do, and were 2 mechanics short that day, they got me out of there within an hour! Rick at the front desk was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Justin and Mike are Top Shelf when it comes to the repair industry, the way they worked together as a team and got me back on the road so quickly was really amazing to see.. Too many people are just getting through each day but these guys seem like they love what they do and it shows in their work! They did a great job and I 100% would stop there again if i had any issues or needed to schedule maintenance.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Local hauling

I was recommended to come here by a friend. After traveling across the country I was due for an oil change but (as a female especially) was nervous about finding a place I could trust. I cannot recommend this place more. They were friendly and approachable, never felt rushed or swindled and always respected. They were very thorough with my car from start to finish. They were so kind and loving to my dog who tagged along, even brought out water and treats for her. I ve paid the same price elsewhere for far less service and hospitality. This was exceptional service. I-86 is a great group of down to earth, kind and professional people. I will be back again for sure. Looking forward to it!Service: Oil change

I brought my medium duty (big) truck there for an alignment. I felt it was off some because of some tire wear. They pulled the truck in and I followed but was asked to leave the shop. No big deal I understand "insurance" . They ended up saying they couldn't do the alignment because one of the front tires needed to be replaced, and would recommend getting both tires replaced then do the alignment. They charged me $97.15 for doing nothing to the truck that I wanted. Seems to me a simple look at the truck tires could have told them that if they wouldn't do it without new tires without pulling it in and charging me. Or maybe they just wanted the tire sale. I was a little aggravated and told him but paid the bill. This actually was a year ago but I just came across the receipt wile I was near the computer and decided to let people know about it.Service: Wheel alignment

Came for a wheel alignment and was greeted with the best hospitality at an auto care center I ve ever experienced, super quick on setting up an appointment and even quicker on the service time. Was offered complimentary drinks and snacks whilst in the waiting room, and they went above and beyond by making sure I knew of potential problems that my specific vehicle can have. 100% recommend especially for Diesal work if your in the local area.Services: Wheel alignment, Auto maintenance

The staff is very nice and I love the fact that they send you pictures of everything that needs work so you can see it. And it's coded to tell you which things need to be done right away.

Amazing place, quality work. They were able to get my lifted Jeep into spec with the alignment. I took it to them for the alignment, only after finding them on google, no prior experiences with them. They do a full vehicle check over, FOR FREE, and then send you your vehicles health report before they even start the work. Never once did they try to sell me anything extra. Only told me of the things that could use a fix. I will highly recommend them to friends and family! Or anyone in that matter.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment

My travel trailer suspension broke about 8 miles from the shop on the highway. Called the after hours number and gave me great advice which got me to the shop that night. The next morning the staff was great determining how to best source parts and how to get it fixed. There turn around time was great. The entire staff and mechanics were great. The office communicated with me every step of the way. Very thankful I-86 Trk/Auto Repair was there. Fixed everything for a very fair price.Service: Steering & suspension repair

What a pleasant experience we had at this place! Staff is incredibly accommodating and thorough in their communications. We were particularly impressed with the service manager Randy who treated this woman (who knows a bit about vehicles) like I actually knew what I was talking about! We received photographs of the problems before the repair and after. (By the way, they had to come in and fix a problem created by a less trustworthy repair service. They did that with truth and grace without bashing the other service, just honest correction, which I so appreciated!)There is more work to be done, which they notified us of. When we asserted that we had to wait for our next pay there was no high pressure and we were met with kind acceptance and understanding of our circumstances. I cannot recommend this service enough, especially if you are a female in need of a provider you can trust to treat you with respect and listen carefully to your concerns and descriptions.

Amazing place! I thought I just needed new tires and an oil change but, the free inspection they offer when working on your vehicle saved me from breaking down in the very near future! Come to find out my tie rod end was in desperate need of replacement. So they got the part and fixed the problem. I was apprehensive at first, afraid I couldn't pay for all of this upfront and out of pocket. Well turns out they have "Autopass". It was quick to apply and quick to be approved! I'm sure it saved me from something very serious happening to myself and my car! So I'm back on the road and safe. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. They are very courteous, professional, and pleasant to deal with! They gained my business for sure. So if you need some quality work done, or your just not sure where to go. Check this place out they won't disappoint.Services: Tires, Wheel alignment, Oil change

I first have to say that no truck driver looks forward to breaking down. HOWEVER, if you're in their area when it happens, the folks at I-86 Truck & Auto will do everything they can to get you back on the road as quickly as possible!!From the moment I showed up, Roger (one of the service advisors) was very friendly, professional, and absolutely accommodating! The entire time I was at the shop (2 days) I felt like I was a priority. When I had to stay overnight, Roger offered some very helpful suggestions, and Nate (the shop owner) even went so far as to give me a ride to a local hotel in his personal vehicle. The prices for the work they provided was very fair, and they did everything that they could to make it affordable.I will definitely recommend this shop to anyone in the area that's looking for any sort of service or repair on their semi!!Thank you all so much

A great Auto mechanic shop (trucks as well) tucked away just off I86 in Falconer NY.Matt was very informative about my repairs. The work was done on time, very reasonable rates, and with excellent service. The shop texts a finalized vehicle inspection report with pictures of the items that may need further attention.Extremely professional shop with very reasonable rates.I will return for future service on all of my cars!

Brought the vehicle down, for a stalling issue along with a transmission issue and an all wheel alignment. The car still stalls and now the rear end of the vehicle wants to do nothing but spin around even on dry pavement. Car was brought back next day and they proceeded to say nothing is wrong with it. Car drives worse now than prior to taking it in. And after spending around 1500 dollars that shouldn't be the case.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I went to I-86 for an inspection and was not satisfied with the results at all. They tried to tell me SEVERAL things were wrong with my vehicle, granted i stay on top of all my maintenance. Out of the 5 items they said needed to be fixed only 2 were the accurate. I left there and the next day went to a different local shop and got a clean NYS inspection.I do not recommend this shop.

Our vehicle was due for an oil change, and we were leaving on a short, impromptu getaway as a family in a couple of days. They were able to get me in before we left when most everyone else was scheduling a week or more out.The appointment took about an hour and the cost was very close to that of other oil change services in the area. For the full synthetic oil change with filter I usually pay around $60-70, this one was slightly higher. The service included a multi-point inspection to let me know what other potential issues I may need to address, but with no pressure to have it done immediately by them. Their suggestions included items I already knew about, such as air filter and rear window wiper, and also a check of my tire wear and tread depth. The employees I met were pleasant and professional. During the time I was there, I was able to observe how they interacted with several customers, both in person and on the phone. Each person was treated with respect and if the customer had any questions, they were answered with any details explained if necessary. I was very impressed at one point as I had actually forgotten that I had a coupon for the service. On the coupon it states you must present/mention the coupon before the service is started. I was asked during the time I waited if I had a coupon. I explained I did but had forgotten about it. They allowed me to use it anyway. Each employee I saw was using a face mask as required, and I was told by the owner, everyone has their temperature checked regularly, and per requirements, is sent home at the first sign of illness. The waiting area is immediately inside the entry door and across from the service counter. There are currently only two seats available, probably to accommodate today's social distancing requirements. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I believe coffee and tea were both available if wanted. However, I don't believe any was premade, again, maybe due to the current restrictions. The restrooms were located just past the waiting area. I can attest the Men's room was clean, with plenty of soap and sanitizer provided.Overall, my experience at I-86 was pleasant. Although I may have paid slightly higher then at other service providers, I believe the professionalism, quality of service, and ability to get an appointment rather quickly was worth the extra money.

I ve come to use the shop exclusively for not only our motorhome but our personal vehicles. I first came here as a customer for my motorhome with tire service and upgrades. I believe that Nate and his team offer extremely knowledgeable and top quality work, but they are the most customer focused small business that I know of. I appreciate the service writer they have now, Roger, who is not only knowledgeable but very personable. Finally probably the thing that really drives my buying decision as a consumer the most is the fact that they add value to their fair and reasonable prices. They take good care of you and don t take advantage of you. That is the hallmark of a great business.

Overall very happy with their service. We had a truck blow a radiator hose at the nearby Cummins engine plant. They were very busy but still managed to get to our truck within about 2 hours & got our driver on his way. No complaints and will certainly use them again if needed.

They either couldn't find a parasitic draw on my battery or refused to do so, so I would keep bringing my vehicle back. I was there 3 times before I told them I wouldn't pay for them to do work they had told me they already did, and clearly had not. I took my vehicle to another mechanic and it was done in an hour. I've never had another problem with it. They'll tell you to fix things that don't need fixing too. They're dirty thieves. DON'T GO HERE.

They are very friendly and helpful. I had a water pump replaced and they got the part same day and had me back out on the road less than 24 hours after I broke down. They gave me a ride to a local hotel and even took me to get food. I honestly cannot say enough good about this place. And if the owners happen to read this, thank you so much for running such a top notch repair shop!

I might be getting "special treatment" but who's to say every/most customers don't also feel that way!? We all want mechanics that have integrity, do an excellent job, and communicate clearly. I have found this to absolutely be the case!!! At I86 you get friendlier (and better) service than a dealership, without the mistrust and extreme costs. Jerrod and Jason are top notch!!!!I do a lot of my own work so it's great to have a garage like this that can do the jobs I can't or don't have the time to do. They also worked with me on allowing me to shop around for parts and install the part(s) that I was able to find at deep discount. To give this review some credibility, I will add some constructive criticism (but please note the 5 stars I gave). Some of their prices seem high. In general this is because they will go the "extra mile" and use specialized additives from BG. If you just want something "run of the mill", you may want to shop around or you can ask them what is included in the service and why there is an added benefit. You may want what they are offering or you may want to go elsewhere. Since this business is awesome at customer service and communication, I would ask first before blindly agreeing to have a service package (transmission service, coolant flush; etc) performed.Lastly I wanted to elaborate on a few simple things they did for me. I appreciate how thorough they were on my alignment. It took longer but the job was done right, something I have not experienced at other places. In addition, Monroe Muffler was unable to fix my TPMS sensor problem and it was routine for I86. Sometimes it's not worth it to go to "cheaper" chains.

I m so thankful I was only one exit away from these guys when my freightliner decided to not go into gear and I lost engine power. I looked up closest place and this place was it. I m a female so I m instantly skeptical of people taking advantage of me thinking I won t know a damn thing. When I pulled in I could see everyone in office, I instantly felt good about this place. Guys opened door for me, Tina at desk was super sweet. Guys listened to my issue and started talking about possibilities. That was Friday. I left on Tuesday with my truck and me happy. I was so scared it was going to be transmission. I stayed at local hotel that they get a discount from that was passed on to me. If I ever need help again with my truck I will put in for home time to get to them.I felt like family. Place was super organized super clean, and the entire team just clicked.Big thank you to Chad, my awesome mechanic, Tina and Nate for making me feel so welcomed.Freightliner will not get my business again if I can help it, I have so much trust in the crew here at I-86 Truck repair.

Thank you so much for your excellent service. I appreciate your going above and beyond to check out my car after the free oil change. Even though I am loyal to my regular mechanic, I was so impressed by your service that I have already recommended you to two people. I especially liked your thoroughness and patience in explaining everything that needed to be done to my car.
