Ive been going to Andys for 22 years. Ive had good and bad experiences there. My bad experiences were with the crew who worked there after Andy retired 10 or more years ago. Ive had engine light come on and they couldnt fix the issue for years. They would just turn the light off, say they fixed the issue and charge me arm and a leg. My suspicions were proved right when i took my car in for an oil change. I alternate my oil change place. When I went to my other mechanic, he said the oil filter the put on the car 6 months ago were still there. The previous mechanics at Andys who worked there until 2022 never changed my oil filter and charged me for it. Who knows if they ever changed the Oil. They were robbing people. But....I am happy with the new Owner and his crew. They are hard workers and know what they are doing. Engine service light issue was solved by them in one try. They are a little expensive, but quality work costs a little extra. I dont mind paying for quality.

I took my car to Andy's Auto Repair to address my car not starting. I was told the problems were a battery and a starter relay.After bringing some heightened concerns up to one of the shop's rep's (Mark), the issue was resolved. The management at this auto repair shop truly make the deference.

Very good auto repair shop to take your cars to, very affordable and honest mechanics are working there. Sanjay, the guy that's now in charge of the workshop is a very respectable honest professional guy. Highly trained and will work with you to make sure he gets the problem fix I highly recommend this auto shop for all your car repair needs at the best price .

I love Andy's shop, great service, fair prices. Sadly it appears Andy retired recently, I hope the new owner maintains the standard and quality and customer service that Andy's clients have come to expect.

Highly recommend Andy's Auto Repair. I brought a car I was thinking of buying to Andy's for a pre-purchase check. He was thorough, quick, honest, and an all-around great guy who was a pleasure to work with. He asked me how much I was thinking of buying the car for, looked up its value for me, and, in addition to a run-through of the car's condition, also gave me his recommendation on whether to buy it and whether the price was a good deal. Also did all this for a great price of $45. Had a great experience here it made me wish I lived in the neighborhood so he could be my regular mechanic!

I thought that I was really taken care of by Andy. He made sure I understood what he was capable of doing and the consequences if things needed more work. Extremely honest. This was my first time going to him but not my last.

Andy's auto is the best in the business. I been going here my whole life because this is the only place where my dad would go to do. Andy and his staff are extremely professional and knowledgeable. They offer such great value and are totally honest with you. I moved to Brentwood 3 years ago but still come back to elmont for any of my car needs.Services: Transmission, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

Andy s auto repair shop was recommended to me by a family member I was having four-wheel-drive issues with my Ford explorer 2004 Andy without even driving the car he knew what was wrong Andy told me what to do and the car was fixed automatically all tires need to be the same in order for the four-wheel-drive to not make noise one tire was different I also have a BMW and Andy has been affordable with quality work it turns out that my wife s family has been going to Andy s for over 25 years he s a neighborhood favorite

Andy's a great, honest mechanic. People are always fearful of getting "ripped off". Perfectly understandable, but not at Andy's. He's interested in quality, long term business relationships, not short term profits. Leave your concerns elsewhere.

I'm travelling through NY from out of town and the right turn signal went out on my 15-passenger van and I couldn't afford paying that type of ticket. Most repair places I tried to go to wouldn't/couldn't even see me until Friday. Understanding my emergency the guys there took me in, even though they were busy, and got me back on the road in a short time.To me, that's what is most important about a repair shop, the fact that they care and will treat you as a person. Any repair shop that can look out for their customers as people is a rare find and makes this shop a worthy investment in your vehicle.

I got put on to Andy by another mechanic in Elmont, and he told me about the the issues with our truck and even gave us pointers on how to keep our almost 10 year old pathfinder running right. No run around here. I have another reliable person to take my car to. Thank you Andy!

Service was great. Staff was courteous. I was aware of all work being done, as well how much it would cost. There were no surprises when I picked up the car.

Andy is the fairest and most honest person I've ever met . I once brought an old car to his shop for repairs and he looked at it than called me up and said the car is not worth fixing, and there was no bill for diagnosing all the problems.
