Great experience here! The guy at the front was really nice and got me in and out quickly. I was able to schedule my appointment only a few days in advance. The NY state inspection was reasonably priced too. They don't have wifi but they do have a waiting area and bathroom.

Took my car here for an inspection. It passed emissions but did not pass safety. Should not have been charged $21 as one of the tests passed. Never coming back here again, they have idiots working here.

I am truly disgusted with this business. Will never take any vehicle back to them ever again. Took my car to them, and I was supposed to get a call when it was done. Never got a call. I got a call the next day telling me there were all these problems with my car that weren't an issue. I informed them to please just do what it was brought to them to do, and I would check into the other "issues." They said ok and that they would call me back shortly when it was done. By 4 pm no call, so I called them. The guy gave me an attitude and said, "I told you this morning it would be like 30 minutes." When I told him that was not what he said and that he said he would call me when it was done. He then said, "I did call you." I let him know that he did not call me. My phone was with me all day as I was waiting for the call. Very rudely, he let me know it had been done for hours, and I could come get it. I was unable to drive 2 vehicles at once. I paid for the work and picked it up later. It was dark when it was picked up, and I didn't drive it home, so i didn't notice any issues at that time. I did not drive it until today, and that is when i noticed the damage and the exhaust issue. The car was parked from the night it was picked up until i went to work this morning. They damaged my back bumper. Broke clips that hold it on and have scratched/gouged multiple areas across the entire back bumper. No exhaust leak before it went in their shop. Now has an exhaust leaks that I will be paying to fix because I don't trust them to touch it and fix it correctly. Over inflated my tires. Had to let air out of them. Now, at least, that is fixed, no cost to me. Had to give a star or couldn't give a review of the business.

My wife and I went to Firestone for what we thought would be a normal inspection on my mother s vehicle. After about 30 minutes of waiting, the sales rep comes out and lets us know that the lights over the rear license plate is out and that it would be $35 to replace it. We ask if $35 would be the price because he was a little hesitant of telling us the price as he really didn t know and then he goes and asks. After another 10-15 minutes of waiting and my wife and I talking it over, we go up to the counter to ask if we can try to replace it again ourselves and he asks if we re gonna do it outside or not. We say we re going to go down the street so we can try to replace the lights and he tells us that if we do that we will get charged for a failed inspection as well as a re-inspection fee on top of the passed inspection once the lights are fixed. Both my wife and I have owned vehicles in Upstate, NY for years and have issues with cars but we ve never heard of a re-inspection fee or a place not allowing us to try and replace our own lights and then try again. Having said that, we will never use this Firestone or any other Firestone company again. It is very unfortunate that a business would treat its customers like this. I will also never recommend Firestone to any of my friends or family. It seems like a money hungry business and I will not take part. Forcing your customers to pay extra fees is not a good business idea.

Never have an issue here .get my oil changed and tires from here.kyle is usually who I work with good guy. It is pricey but it's a chain so I didn't expect anything less. Some stuff I feel they try to get you to get is unnecessary, but for the most part I feel they are honest here.

Thank God for this place. Got screwed by Enterprise and had to come here to change a tire. The manager, Evan, went out of his way to start the process of approval early, check out our other tires, and get approved and replace another tire that was bald in addition to the first tire. Thank you!!!

We've been servicing both our vehicles at this Firestone for the last 2 years. So it was no surprise that's where we wanted our truck to go when our truck broke down, down the street from our home Sunday July 2nd. We called Firestone to see if we could get the vehicle towed there prior to calling tow company and explained how the clutch wasn't working and that the truck wouldn't go into 1st gear. Emily stated that it was no problem and because of the holiday, it wouldn't probably be worked on until Wednesday (July 5th). I decided to call today (July 6th) to inquire about the progress. They called me back stating that they didn't have the correct equipment and refused to give a diagnosis either. We will no longer have our vehicles serviced by them. Not only did we waste a tow, but we wasted 4 days to have the truck fixed elsewhere. We have referred probably 6 families to this Firestone who will never bring their vehicles back either. Did we get an apology? Absolutely not. Also, we spoke to everyone BUT the mechanic that refuses to take a look. So if you're looking to get a clutch fixed or any other transmission issue, apparently, they don't have the tools to accomodate.Don't waste your time or your money. Go to Monroe, or any other place for that matter. I'd give negative 5 stars, if possible!

Had these fellas order winter tires for my 2013 Escape, lots of places couldn t get them because my tire size is low profile and they re hard to get/find. They got me in the morning after my tires got in, swapped them and fixed my tire sensor. Joe at the counter was very nice and helpful and Tim made short work of changing my tires and sensor and he bagged the tires he took off and put them in my car! I ll definitely be going pack for future car/tire needs. Thank you, you guys are great!

Everyone was incredibly friendly, professional and honest. Kyle, Tyler, Joe and the mechanic that worked on my car (didn t catch his name!) were great. I came from out of town and they accommodated me within my timeline and understood the situation. I didn t feel pressured or misguided like I ve felt before at chain auto repair shops. They were communicative, timely and gracious. Can t say enough positive things!

Decent guys working here. Had get my transfer case fixed. They did it quicker than quoted and were nice enough to chop off some money from the bill. I have been going here for years and never had a problem. Plus they have a sitting area with a TV and magazines.

Called on Tuesday 2x to make an appointment, phone rang 30x then automatically disconnected both times I called-that was my red flag warning right there.. However, I went on their website saw I could schedule an appointment there so I did. My appointment was for the next day, wed at 10am. I made arrangements with a friend to use their car while mine was going to be in the shop. Today (wed) at 8am Keith from Firestone calls to say he has to cancel my appointment because there weren t any appointments available today-their on line website made an error. Further He can t reschedule me until Friday I explain that will not work, I m here visiting and had already made arrangements to have another car for the day. Keith gave me a bunch of I m sorry s the ones where people in service just say the words with no true empathy or care.. I told him had you guys answered ur phones yesterday I wouldn t be in this situation. I asked for his district manger s number and he said he couldn t give it out that I would have to go the web site and call their 800 number to make a complaint.. I then asked if He would give my info to his district manager and ask him/her to call me and he said no . Absolutely no customer service, no empathy, no care or concern for the customer Well, I did call call the 800 number and made a complaint. My advice, don t go to Firestone (at this location anyways) for service they make appointments then don t honor them, nor do they care you have been put out..Save yourself the headache, go someplace else!

I am very happy with the service I received at this Firestone location. I booked an appointment online for $190, but when I came in they lowered the price for me to their local price of $169.99.I was kind of picky and asked for my alignment to be done a certain way. I wanted certain parts to be on one end of the spec range, the alignment to be mirrored side to side, and I wanted weight put in the driver seat like the car would have been aligned at a dealership or race shop. They had no problem accommodating my requests and still managed to get me out the door 15 minutes earlier than I expected. I was never upsold or asked to buy things I didn't need.While I was there I noticed a tire design that was pretty unusual to me. I am related to a tire engineer, so I've seen a lot of tire designs. When I asked about the tire out of curiosity, the service adviser used industry terms that indicated to me that he was very familiar with tires. While I usually do tons of research and pick out my own tires, I feel confident that he would have been able to recommend a good choice of tire if I were specifically looking for dry performance, a quiet ride, long tread life, or any other specific tire characteristic.Although I have not had experience getting more involved maintenance done here, I am under the impression that they take pride in their work and are honest enough to only do what you need done.

I came to town on 3/16 and noticed that my car was making a grinding/scraping noise. It was close to closing time and I figured that I would have to leave my car there overnight. 30 minutes later I received a call saying my car was ready! Some clips that secured the skid shield had broken off causing it to scrape the road occasionally. My entire bill was only $10! They never tried to sell me an unnecessary brake job which I admit I expected to be suggested. I appreciate their honesty, integrity and the speed in which the job was completed! Good job!

I love Firestone on Main Street in Elmira NY. Our go-to place for work done on our vehicle. Their customer service is fantastic and they know us by name. They are very courteous and experienced, and they get us in and out the door quickly. I give them 5 stars.

EDIT: They *were* my #1 choice. On this last repair, they didn't communicate proactively at all. If I called, they were always "about" to call me, and had my truck for an extra couple of days while they worked on figuring things out. And in all the conversations, I got one quote for $39.95 parts and labor. Maybe he thought he was talking to someone else, because the final cost was almost $500. It was a surprise I could accomodate, but not a welcome one. So far it does appear my truck is repaired, but even they weren't sure if this would do it.---------------------------------------------------My #1 choice in Elmira. Have been taking my truck there since I moved here a couple of years ago. They always give me an accurate quote and timeframe, and make sure I'm taken care of, whether it's getting me a ride back to work, understanding what's needed, or just talking about possibilities. They are always happy to give ballpark quotes for various outcomes. Not in their control at all, but expensive repairs always seem to come up when I can afford them least.

I got new tires with the road hazard warranty. ..1 tire wouldn't hold air for more than 2 days. Horseheads Firestone couldn't find the problem. This Elmira store took the time to find a small screw lodged in the tread. Excellent service thank you

I have to say I was so unsatisfied with going to Firestone for a power steering return hose and less then 12hrs I'm back for a water pump that had no problem at all what's so ever, if you go to this place good luck it seems they make sure you come back for something else.

I just have to laugh....I called this store today to get a quote on changing 1 fuel filter that costs $39.....they wanted $170 for a 5 minute job. Literally 5 minutes....maybe 20 minutes because it's firestone. Never....ever... will I even ATTEMPT to go here. THOSE WHO DONT KNOW ANY BETTER WOULD JUST SPEND THE MONEY!! it's predatory behavior. I'm all set.

I called in towards the end of the day to get an alignment, they got me in and out in less than an hour on a Friday late day. Totally above and beyond, totally recommend!

i was charged a quote over the phone, and when i arrived at the store they changed the price to almost double what they had quoted me. on top of that when i recieved my car back, on 3 out of the 4 rims i have the paint was chipped and scratched beyond repair, and there was a large scratch on my trunk in which i am 99% positive was not there before i gave them my car. if you like your car do not take it to this place under any circumstances.

The employees are very plesant, fast and professional. No complaints from me. I have paid more in other places for synthetic oil. Big thumbs up.
