Although this motel looks a little beat up from the outside, our room was PERFECTLY FINE and comfortable. I am not comparing it to a fancier hotel chain when I give it 4 stars, but the room and bathroom were clean and large, and it had a mini refrigerator. The woman at the desk was patient and helpful, plus it is an easy stroll into town.I suspect it has had a makeover since previous bad reviews. If you are just looking for a comfortable, convenient place to rest, you can opt to spend $100 as opposed to $500!

Honestly, I don t know how this place got any stars. The bed was like sleeping on a board, the road noise was horrific, there was no interior privacy lock on the door, and the bathroom was on a rise that I tripped into. There was no sleep to be had. I would ve been more comfortable in a sleeping bag. Horrible. Not sure why they charged over 90 bucks; the value was more like $25.

I work at Walmart, and they kicked me out saying that the room is Reserved, so I asked if I could get a different room saying no I couldn't get another room, saying that I'm not the one staying in the room,They are very rudePS It has not hit the 21-day mark I only have been here for a week,

The exterior of the village motel is in need of much repair and updating. The room was clean, the sheets and linens were in good condition. There was a refrigerator but no other amenities; no facial tissues, no hair dryer. Noise from vehicle traffic was quite loud and sirens of emergency vehicles were frequent. Not a good value; overpriced.Rooms: Clean, no bed bugs, minimal furniture besides bed

You know what you're getting into at the Village Motel. Not just the cheapest place around, the ONLY place around. We stayed one night it had clean, comfy beds; clean bathroom and clean floors; working AC and didn't smell too bad. When that's all that matters, that's what the Village Motel has.But prepare yourself for what's outside that clean room: lots of very sketchy people sitting around outside chain-smoking, dirty mattresses stacked up against the side of the building, not a single intact window screen, and frankly, not a single clean window. Oh, the TV didn't work, there were no hangers, and the door frame that the security chain attached to was loose.

This motel is very old and run down. Can't open windows to dissipate the musty smell in the room.Everything is shabby. But the rooms were clean. It is centrally located. And it has WIFI.Walkability: Near the center of town

So this isn't going to win any awards for being fancy or high end. However, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable. And even though I got there much later than my scheduled check-in time (and after they closed), they still came down to let me check-in when I called them. And they are right in the middle of town with a 24hr convenience store one block away. The only very minor complaint/suggestion would be to have a small microwave in the room. The room did have a mini fridge, but without a microwave it was less useful.Rooms: The rooms were pretty plain but they were clean, comfortable and larger then a typical hotel room.Walkability: In the middle of town with a 24hr convenience store one block away.

My sister and I stayed one night recently at the Village Motel after our reserved lodging elsewhere proved to be less than desirable. The Village Motel was clean (pristine), the beds were very comfortable, and the owner went out of his way to take care of our needs. He also was helpful when my sister returned the next morning to retrieve her cell phone plug that she had forgotten. She found the room already cleaned with freshly washed floors and the door open to air it out ( as were a number of other rooms ). Obviously this is an owner who believes in customer service excellence. We would not hesitate to stay there again if we should be in the area.

Rooms was decent but the beds are pull out cots. Stayed there a couple days and by the 3rd day they refused to give us any toilet paper or fresh towels. Bathroom is tiny and the shower head in room #34 leaked like crazy didn't get good water pressure. It's very grungy there. Shady people there at night. Microwave is in the lobby and don't warm things up as fast as a normal microwave does and lobby always smells like fish. Beds are hard as a slab like a prison bed very uncomfortable and the pillows are flat no fluff to them at all. There's also a creepy stair way that looks like when you get to the bottom looks like your gonna get robbed very sketchy. Would not recommend to stay a long period of time .

I feel obligated to write a detailed review to balance out the many negative reviews, which seem dated from my experience. We stayed the weekend of March 26-27 2022. The room was impeccable and was clearly renovated recently. The east Asian family running the place seems to be new management. So room itself, great. Hot water, water pressure, HVAC, TV, charging outlets, fixtures, all good. Especially for the price and the location. The location is great. Some of the best restaurants in the county on canal Street are a walking distance away so no one needs to be the DD, lol.The exterior is still work in progress and I can see why some people think it's a "shady" place. I think there's race and class prejudice at play there. The clientele is definitely more working class than your average Catskills getaway. But if you, like us, visit the area for the outdoors and just need a clean bed and bathroom, this is an excellent options. If you're a family that spends a lot of time in the hotel, yeah, maybe look elsewhere. It's a very basic old school motel. Not a resort.Overall, I recommend this place to people who are expecting the basics. Rooms are great, location convenient, and despite appearances, very safe. I've stayed in unsafe motels. This isn't one.

We stayed here one night because we went to a party close by. We were a little wary at first. We got a room because some one had cancelled. Our room was great. The carpet was clean. I brought slippers just in case but didn t use them. The mattress is very new but hard. The bedding was clean. It was very quiet and the staff were very friendly. Water pressure is excellent. For the money we had an excellent hotel room.

The beds are hard as slabs of concrete. The windows are thin, socks got dirty from just walking on the floor. It's as if they had just remodeled and were trying to look nice. But there were still bugs.

Not bad, was worried because of bad reviews. A little sketchy for sure, but they are open late so if you're looking for a place to crash it will work. Relatively clean but my buddy complained about a smell he didn't like. Personally me I didn't notice anything.

Rooms were clean but neighbors were sketchy,I think they take welfare people which isn't bad by itself but brings in a different sort of clientele. I think they have cleaned it up a bit so outsiders wouldn't know any better, just make sure you lock your car and door...

The manager at the village motel is the best human being you will ever meet running a motel. She is very caring, honest and treat people with utmost respect and I have a lot of respect for her. The rooms are big n the beds are comfortable, plus there are many stores n restaurants surrounding you. I give the motel 4 out of 5 and the manager 10 out of 10 best person I ever met.

Room was very clean, but had no toilet paper, no tissue either. The remote didnt work with the TV. And I have to say child services really needs to check into a room people living in there. It was disgusting! I thought Id puke when she openned the door.

Cheap & cheerful motel. The outside styling is a shocker! But, ignore it - the rooms are fine (for the price). Clean, comfy beds, decent tv & furnishings. The bathroom needs a bit of love. Note that the hot water is super hot.

While the beds may be comfortable and the room was quiet. The carpeting was in need of a deep cleaning and the bath needed a reno. Good price for the night. And great Spanish food down the block

Quite possibly the most filthy place on Earth. The carpets left a film of filth on the soles of your feet. This is only good if you cannot afford shoes. Which you will not be able to because the room rate was astronomically expensive considering your paying to be in an obsessive compulsive's worst nightmare.Keep your clothes in the suitcase unless you want them to become a nest for the 1000 bugs that will be in your broken drawer.Like taking showers? Hope you like drying off with piss stained towels.Of course you could always seek entertainment from the front desk staff, for they will call you gay when you try to check in with your own father. Also Penske called and they want their moving blankets back, for real they use moving blankets on top of the sheets. And if the fear of bed bugs is keeping you awake you don't have to count sheep you can count the, copious amount of boogers that are littered all over the wall or even the cigarette burn marks in the carpet in the non-smoking room.Need a morning wake up? Fear not you do not have to use the alarm clock because the gunshots and cops will do that for you. Also if you are a fan of wiping your own butt, I hope you like using the cardboard toilet paper roll that is left over.On the plus side they do have the latest and greatest TVs. That is of course if you are Marty McFly and have access to a time machine to go back 30 years.Speaking of Michael J Fox try not to let the shaking and crying woman laying in fetal position on her bed in the room next door with the curtains open bother you. It's not as bad as it seems or at least that's what her abusive husband said.We left the place dirtier than we came considering we took a shower in the bathtub which fills to your knees, because the drain has been clogged with the congregation of the pubes of the less fortunate. All in all a terrible experience but fun to talk about. Enjoy your stay. I hope you sleep well in your 54 x 75 inch crime scene which they call a "bed" , while resting your head in the petri dish they call "pillows."Next time I will be sure to sleep in a gas station dumpster where it's clean and probably has less bugs and risk of being killed by a third party.

Staff is nice enough and works well with you, for some reason the place smells like fish, room is basically back rooms with a bed. Overall a surreal experience, good for a crash if youre passing through

I stayed here for about two night. I loved how close it was to different convenient stores and right by my bus stop. The staff was incredibly helpful & friendly. VERY good price, nice heat/air. My room was nice and clean, the tv worked, the tub was deep & even though it was a weekend, the hotel itself was good and quiet. Very happy with Village Hotel :)

For a motel , it was super clean, very affordable, parking is a breeze, convenient location, tons of hot water, heat was spot on, plenty of shows on tv... we rested and continued our journey...definitely going to revisit.

This is a great little motel in a quiet town. My friend and I stayed for three nights and had a wonderful visit. The beds are extremely comfortable with what appears to be brand new bedding and pillows. The water pressure in the shower is amazing! The motel also offers free WiF and has a multitudevof csvlevxhannels and is very reasonably priced. I would definitely stay here again!

Well they over charge ppl for the rooms I mean they want to charge u for a 3-4 star place when there only maybe a 1 star an thats pushing it. The owners are rude and if u have a double room for 4 ppl u only get 2 towels an 8f 7 ask for more they give u an attitude.

It's exactly what you'd expect. Very liberal interpretation of 'clean' but for a quick trip overnight, did the trick, and wasn't HORRIBLE. Definitely could use some improvements to make it a little more comfortable.
