I haven't been here in a while (over 10 years), but noticed this shop still exists and is still doing the same things to others and I feel it's prudent to write a review from my past experience. Steve is a scam artist, I am surprised this shop is still in business. I brought my 2006 mustang for headers and exhaust here, he stole my $1400 and said he paid the company he ordered from and they never delivered, I was a na�ve teenager at the time and learned a life lesson, don't pay in cash to scummy places like this.

Don t even know where to begin with this place Had him install a super charger on my car which ended up taking 7 months. Charged me an arm and a leg plus up charged 2k on the supercharger from the stock price.Finally got the car back and was making the same power as when i dropped the car off. I asked him to produce the dyno sheets that he claimed he had from dyno tuning the car. Ended up taking it to another shop to find out he never even connected the super charger. Just plopped it onto of the motor.STAY AWAY

I read the reviews and should have taken the negative one seriously. At the time I felt, some people are hard to please. He had our car going on a month, when it was ready for pick up at $1787.- the car still stalled when rolling to a stop or slowing down. I left the car, bill went to $1969.- paid and left. Steve was aware we were not happy with his additional charges for his mistake. We did do a test drive and thought we were good. (Steve does not like anyone to do a test drive before being paid) Bottom line, I took it elsewhere to correct all of Steve's screw ups. He has no clue what he is doing and I will never use him again, nor will I recommend him. He has a lot of excuses and is arrogant. He raises idol to compensate. All the values for air, fuel and spark were off. Car was still surging. No matter how good your car looks there is no point if you pay and your stuck on the side of the road. He must have paid for the good reviews posted. It's very interesting I experienced the same things with him in the poor reviews.

Steven is great! I had my entire exhaust redone and I couldn t be happier with the result. He does a great job of explaining things and is really good with answering any questions you have. He s very open about things when something goes wrong, and his genuineness is very refreshing. I also went to him to install new rims and have my break calipers custom painted. I would recommend him to anyone looking to get work done.Services: Exhaust, Tires, Auto engine tuning

My brother did his cams for his camaro there 2 years ago, and within the first week it was pouring gas everywhere, he called steve about it and steve accused him of having more work done elsewhere, saying it was the cause of the leak (absolute none sense). Than they did a tune on the car, and the car would Rev up to 4000 rpm by it self, all the time at a red light or anywhere when he stopped. (So embarrassing)Lastly he got his clutch done there a couple of months ago, Stanger 2 monster clutch..the car now does not shift in or out of gears, he is consistently stuck and stalling out. STAY AWAY FROM PITBULL IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR. I feel so bad for my brother

Charged me upwards of 8 thousand dollars to install a Holley fuel mat, change a supercharger pulley, put together a custom exhaust (pretty much just a simple straight pipe which in and of itself was the exact opposite of what I wanted) and clean up engine bay wiring.Kept my truck for more than 6 months. Said he dyno tuned the engine but never produced a single dyno sheet. Didn t hear from him for weeks at a time. Truck ran terribly when I finally picked it up and idled at 2,000 rpm half the time. Standing on the brakes barely slowed the truck down so it seemed like the transmission wasn t tuned correctly either.I was younger and didn t know any better so I happily overpaid. 100% took advantage of my lack of knowledge.

My Brother used this guy to tune his car and when he got the car back it broke down half way home. He is a horrible tuner and to make matters worst he will charge the customer to fix the mistakes he created. We took the car to another local tuner and they could not believe how horrible a tune this guy put in the car. The car is running great now NO THANKS to Steve at pitbull. Stay far away from this fraud!!!!!!

Let me say up front that this was one of the worst experience I've ever had with a mechanic. I had a trusted friend that referred me to this guy but my friend later admitted that he actually never did business with him.. They were so many inconsistencies with what he told me he did with the car that didn't make any sense. One of the biggest was telling me he dynoed the car then immediately telling me that the car wasn't ready to be Dynoed. There was literally a spark plug wire that wasn't even hooked up when he told me he Dynoed the car. Worst part is, my car left his shop running worse than it did when I bought it in. The car couldn't even be driven 10 miles without breaking down on 495. I was able to get the car into another Tuner a couple of days later. That guy was so shocked with the tuning that was done that he sent the file to his friend at Holley. The tuning was so bad, it could have permanently damaged the motor. There soooo much more unscrupulous, unconventional and underhanded interaction that we had while dealing with this guy that I felt obliged to partially describe it here as a bellwether to what might happen to you while dealing with Pitbull. I wasn't going to write this review because I did not want to disparage someone's business but I felt obligated to let other car enthusiast know how horrible this experience was. I'm sure Pitbull will have some clever explanation which will most likely involve blaming the customer for his inexperience and ineptitude but after paying him a ton of money for making my car perform worse than when I brought it in, you can be the judge.

Well I tried forgetting about this place but they showed up in my google search for performance shops n brought back very unwanted painful memories. Years ago I went to Steve ( owner) to do an engine swap on my car n everything seemed fine upon the initial meeting. He gave me a price to swap a lightning engine ( 5.4 2v) into my tbird(4.6 2v). If I would ve known what I know bout cars now then I would ve never left my car there being that he tried milking the job by claiming I need all this custom work when that is absolutely not true. I ve learned that the swap was pretty much a direct swap from reading articles on TCCOA. I was initially quoted 2 g s N after 3 weeks of no communication, I decided to call for an update n the price jumped to 6 g s. It wasn t even 50% complete. At that point, I specifically told him to not touch my car n give me an itemized list of what the extra expense was from. I was overcharged for routine procedures while taking the engine out, fabricating new motor mounts , fabricating the firewall by cutting into it n reinforce it with steel n just getting the new motor on the mounts. New factory mounts would ve worked fine , plus they could ve ordered premade performance mounts for $200-$250. The firewall didn t have to get touched, unnecessary work. This was supposed to be a direct swap. It s not like they had to open up the engine to change internals or get any cylinder head work done. Had I left my car there, I would ve had to pay 11-12 g s For a pretty straightforward swap. Steve knew that I wasn t so knowledgeable on the swap at the time n that s where he saw dollar signs. I got my car out of there as soon as I saw the list of charges for service. This might not be what some people want to see but BEWARE n DO NOT trust this guy. Get EVERYTHING in writing if you do end up going with this corrupt individual. There s a line to be drawn for paying for quality and completely ripping someone off just cuz they can n lying to them bout custom work that needs to be done. Good luck n I hope this guy changed his ways of ripping people off.

Don't feed the owner he bites, but he does get the job done, call with all your mechanics needs from oil changes to performance work. tell him the Haunted Mansion of Melville sent you.

Asked a simple question for my bmw 528i xdrive to get tuned, he doesn t own a all wheel drive dyno I said okay... do you know any shop that has availability for my xdrive vehicle, He said yes my buddy owns a shop that has a all wheel drive dyno, okay I said, do you mind passing me a phone number or address, he said NO! Like a mad man, very disrespectful worst call I ve ever heard on the phone, I know this game I m a mechanic my self and don t play games when it comes down to business, I know he wants to send my car over to his friends shop to make money off me too and jack the price up, this is not how you treat customers, very unprofessional in responding over the phone!
