I traveled from Germany to New York for my vacation and spent a week at the elm tree motel, there was a warm welcome, my room was very nicely furnished and offered everything you need. The surroundings are beautiful and the journey was pleasant. Directly opposite the hotel is a gas station where you can get everything for your daily needs. The room was taken care of properly and no wishes remained unfulfilled. It is highly recommended and I will be happy to come back.

This location is absolutely breathtaking! The motel is quiet and cozy, and the owner Lilly and Nicholas are extremely friendly and kind. They go the extra mile to make you feel invited and welcomed! Will be staying again.Rooms: Rooms are newly renovated and nice.Walkability: Able to drive directly up to the room your staying at.

What a lovely quaint motel. Lilly, the owner, was incredibly helpful and kind. My friend got into a car accident and was stranded, Lilly is such a genuinely kind human that she made a terrible experience into something a bit more bearable with her humor. I live in Hillsdale and would highly recommend Elm Tree Motel to anyone needing a safe and clean room in the area. Clean room situation with updated decor and a fridge and microwave.

It appeared that the owner was in the process of renovating several rooms. The room we stayed in appeared to be recently completed although there were a few things remaining to be upgraded. The renovations are modest but reasonable and offer a comfortable stay. The woman who I assume to be the owner, was very nice and offered good suggestions of hikes in the surrounding area. A little more attention to detail wouldn't hurt, but it was a good value for the area. Some really good dining options a few miles down the road in town. I would consider staying again when in the area.

Nice room. Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. Friendly service. What more can you ask for on an overnight stay? I came for a party nearby & everyone else paid a lot more to stay at fancier hotels in town. I would definitely stay here again.

If I could give negative stars I would.Room was unclean and smelled of wet dog, even though the motel policy is not pets allowed. Bed was bowed and uncomfortable. The room was so uncomfortable I left in the middle of the night and drove two hours to get home.Owner is rude and condescending. The cherry on top was she charged for the next night as well despite calling to say that we would not be back.

This motel is the best by far I have ever been to. It's quiet for one,,and two the owner is a very nice lady. I am here because dss put me here for emergency housing. The moment I got here she offered me food and gave me something to drink. Out of every motel I have been to in new york, she is the only person who has ever done that. Definatly worth five stars and I totally recommend it to anyone.

This is a wonderful motel to stay in if you want the best homely feeling and location.Loved everything about our room and even came to appreciate the cleanliness inside the room and outside.Everyone associated with this motel is super and you get the best customer service.When we get the next chance to stay, then our choice is is Elm TreeMotel !!!! Charges are just affordable.

This place is disgusting. No towels , dirty stained wash cloths. Had friends come visit me and she was running there license plates thru her computer some how. No calls out on phone, water ran white and cloudy and never got hit. Black mold in the air conditioner. The care taker Lily has a laser camera in the offices that points to the right side of the building and she listens to your conversations on her phone she says. Totally didn't even deserve 1 stay.

It was a very nice meeting with Lily.. Middle of the day We need a room for one night stay because my car was broke then I call Lily she said she has a room and it s clean and comfortable then We went like 7pm we saw our room ready ..because of our car broke and for thanksgiving day every store was close ..so early morning she gave us tea and snacks..and I need a ride she also provide us she is a very kind and nice women ..her Motel also so comportable

Visited friends and family in August 2018, near by stayed at Elm Tree Motel for two nights. Loved the views, beautiful sunsets, friendly family oriented staff, and for the money nice rooms. Planning to visit in the fall again to see the specular fall colors.

I like this place. It's the only place I could find when my airbnb reservation fell through. There was a phonebooth full of trash, a ghost, no WiFi, no shampoo. This place is the sort of joint they use for murders. I love stuff like that. Five stars! If I survive the night with my sanity, my life and a whole dkin unravaged by bedbugs I will totally make it a regular syop.
