Awesome folks. Had to emergency reschedule for next day, they said no problem and got me in the next day without any hassle. Dropped off the car in the morning and it was ready by lunch. Always a SAFE PLACE to go for oil changes. No price gouging, no unnecessary work being pushed. If you re hemming and hawing on where to go in town, try these folks out. You won t be sorry!

Larry is a great representative of this business. Vert friendly atmosphere! Everything is clean and bright. Work is explained and they ask for authorization and provide proof of need before proceeding with addition service. I'm happy to have an automotive family for my Rogue!

I ve used Steve Shannon for years and have recommended them to all family and friends. Ray was a straight up good guy. Seems to be under new management. In the past 6 months I ve had them put new tires on 2 vehicles. Completely happy with the work and the tires. The new manager seems completely oblivious to everything and raised the price afterwards from his original price by $200 with no explanation other than a price mix-up. He seems to have no experience as any kind of mechanic, and I was disappointed hearing him talk down to not only the employees, but also the customer in front of me. I won t be using the Cortland shop again and will not recommend them

Steve and crew are fantastic! They deliver a great experience from your first contact and throughout the process. Customer service is the real deal here. They are fully transparent and there is zero pressure to upgrade parts or service. They are wonderful humans and such an asset to the Cortland Community. Look no further- this is the place to get you back on the road.

Excellent service that was quick. Dropped my car off Monday, said they wouldn t be able to look at it until Tuesday morning. Got a call at 9:00 a.m. with the problems and cost. Ended up being completed Wednesday at about noon and even cost less due to the repair not requiring one of the parts. Definitely recommend!

Very happy with their service. Took our vehicle there yesterday for a GIECO insurance inspection. Had them do an oil change and NY inspection too. They got us in quickly, charged a reasonable price and were professional and friendly.

Had the vehicle for you very an hour. Never did any rela inspection. Took it to my normal shop and no issues what so ever normal inspection done and it passed. I would not recommend as all they want to do is locate items for additional cost. Did not even supply a document showing an inspection was even started or done.

I always go to Steve Shannon for my car. I ve used them for various things - inspection renewal, electrical issues, dead battery, etc. They are always quick to get me in, flexible with times, and take care of my car in good time. The rates are reasonable and they re upfront about costs. Would recommend to anyone!

Where do I even start... I've been going here for years since it was Trombley Tire so I thought I would keep going here for service since I didn't have ANY issues. Until recently when they changed to STEVE SHANNON!!! I will NEVER go here again and I WILL BE TELLING others my experience... Here's my recent experience...I went here 5 weeks ago now when I needed to get new tires for my truck, alignment & brake work. I was anticipating some brake work as I noticed a grinding noise while braking ( I was thinking the typical brake pads and rotors, NOT a caliper problem). To start off I was pretty peeved that when making the appointment I was not told that their alignment machine was currently down - they told me the day I dropped my vehicle off & no it wasn't because it "just broke" - they said it has been out for a little while. I told Larry the brakes were grinding, but COULDN'T isolate where exactly - figured they would isolate and let me know. I get a call from Larry (in the office) basically stating that all 4 calipers are seizing /seized and require replacing before new brake pads are put on or the pads will wear unevenly. Larry gave me a total cost of $2,520 which includes 4 tires, alignment as well as Brake Pads, Rotors & Calipers on front and back. Against my better judgement - I gave Larry a go on the tires and that I can't do both Front and rear BUT NEEDED/WANTED the noise gone so which ever one was making the noise to go ahead with that set. He asked me about replacing the front to which I restated "If that's the set that is making the grinding, yes because I want the noise fixed".End of day comes and I go to pick up my truck. Got in my truck and started driving, felt a pretty big "Shimmy" - something that wasn't there before I brought it in for work & the NOISE was still present!! I brought it back with my concern to which they said "That's the set you asked us to replace & the brakes weren't working as they should so that's probably the case with the shimmying" to which I said "NO, I told you I wanted to set that was making the noise & my truck should NOT be shimmying like it is - even after a brake repair something is not right. They had a mechanic ride with me, the shimmying didn't seem as prevalent and I thought maybe I was imagining things (mind you the mechanic didn't seem to know ANYTHING) so I brought him back. I proceeded to leave AGAIN, drove a couple miles and every time I braked, I started hearing "non-normal" noises and felt things in my floorboard. I pull over and inspect the front brakes (the set they just replaced), that when I found the CALIPER pinned right up against the Rim - YUP my initial concern was verified!! I went back to STEVE SHANNON and had both in the office to Come outside and actually look at the position of the caliper. They looked and said they would get it fixed.. After it was brought back they mentioned that there was a "caliper failure" and had a new caliper ordered and would get it fixed.. Having fixed plenty of Brakes myself & know how the calipers are secured to the vehicle - the only way the caliper would have been pinned against the rim like it was either 1.) the caliper bolts either weren't put back in OR 2.) the metal flanges on the caliper that holds the bolts broke in both places. Knowing how thick these flanges are - I DOUBT IT WAS THE LATTER. I Firmly believe the bolts weren't fastened enough or AT ALL...Fast forward to after Christmas - against my better judgement, I brought my truck in for the rear (the set making the noise) - very hesitant in how this time would go. The visit was decent, though I was still edged by my previous visit.Fast forward to the time I'm writing this review... My front brakes are now shaking when applied op top of hearing a clicking noise - after spending $1,778 on ALL NEW Brake pads, Rotors & CALIPERS - I SHOULD NOT be experiencing any of this!!! I AM NOT going to take my truck back there to get looked at but rather to another shop (after I find one I trust) for further inspection!!

The guys at Steve Shannon Tire & Auto in Cortland came through big time for us. The wife s car died and when the mechanics checked it out the thought it would need a whole new radiator and all the accompanying items a bill over $1300 well when I got the call that it was done the manager said we even saved you some money, you didn t need the radiator so the total is $831!!! Woohoo! Works for me. This location has been our go to for auto repairs for both our cars in the Cortland area! Thank you Steve Shannon!

I just bought new tires and couldn t be happier. I had no idea how badly I needed the new ones. The employees were helpful when deciding which ones to purchase. If I had to narrow down the choices myself, I never wouldn t have been able to chose.

I went to Steve Shannon Tire and Auto Center on Groton Ave. in Cortland to have some tires changed. WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD at a tire and auto repair facility!!!! Had to give one star to post this review. If I could have I wouldn't even have given them one. A skinny young trainee kid with little to no experience and no mechanic at the facility at the time to supervise him, stripped four lug bolts and scratched the heck out of the wheels. Due to the stripped lug bolts the car was not driveable until it could be repaired by a mechanic the following day; and the tire center left me stranded to find my own way home, 45 minutes away! FOR MORE DETAILS READ ON - Arrived shortly before 2pm for a 2pm appointment and confirmed at the front desk it would take an hour and a half to change the tires. My car was taken to the back garage promptly and I had a seat to wait for the vehicle. Shortly after 3:30 I had not heard anything, approached the front desk and was told by Larry, the Manger, that the tires were being balanced and it would be finished in 15 minutes. Waited 15 minutes (3:45pm) and approached Larry again. He told me they were having a problem getting a tire to seal on one of the rims and it would be a few more minutes, which is a bit strange considering I was told earlier the tires were being balanced, so they would have been installed on the wheels at that point in order to be balanced. I sat down again and waited 20 minutes, approached Larry and was told the mechanic stripped one of the lug bolts and they could not repair it until the next morning. I have to admit at this point I was getting a little annoyed. I told him that the car had five lugs on each wheel and just put the four lug blots in, it would be fine, and I would bring the car back in the morning. Larry disappeared out back for about 10 to 15 minutes and came back to tell me that the car would be unsafe to drive! I then went out back to get some things out of the car and found out that, not one but three lug bolts were stripped by a young skinny, wet behind the ears kid, new trainee, who was working on my car without a mechanic s supervision. The assistant manager (one of the rudest, most unprofessional individuals, who turned out to also be a trainee) was in the back and he tried to hide one of the stripped lug bolts in his pocket. I saw him trying to put it in his pocket and had to ask to see it. I went back out front and confronted Larry, who was also getting rude, and I recapped the events, demanding he provide me with a ride home. Bottom line, they left me to figure out how to get home on my own; I checked all the lugs the next morning when I came to get the car and found another stripped lug bolt on another wheel hub, and the kid trainee scratched the heck out of my wheels. When I called Frank outside to see what I had discovered, he got extremely rude, telling me he gave me free of charge a $500 repair, stating he could not deal with it and turned to walk away. What good ole Larry GAVE ME was nothing but a big headache, and isn t the MANAGER supposed to deal with it? DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO STEVE SHANNON TIRE!!!! IF YOU DO, YOU WILL BE ASKING FOR TROUBLE!!!!! The only person there who was nice and seemed to know what he was doing was Justin, a mechanic who apologized to me and told me about the kid trainee; and that the whole situation would not have happened if he had been there. In closing, I called the headquarters office in Pennsylvania and spoke to one of the owners, Herb Shannon, who seemed very apathetic about the whole matter!!!!

I have my daughter take her car here. We don't live in the same town so it's nice to know when she takes her car there, they are not trying to manipulate her into repairs the car doesn't need. They are so helpful and kind with her. There's other things to worry about with her living away from me and being only 20 years old, the employees here are kind and helpful with you. Much appreciated.

I ve been going there since it was Trombley, when the name changed I figured I would keep going. The last two oil changes they have forgotten things:First was to put my skid plate back on.Second was to put the oil filler cap back on. Which cost me $25 at my next oil change.I have two vehicles that I have put tires on and have had routine maintenance done there multiple times, I won t be back.

Guy at the front desk pushed me in for an inspection. My truck was out in October and he pushed me in and got me thru when I came in there with an inspection ticket, on November 30th. It was entirely my fault for not noticing my inspection. Prompt action from Goodyear in Cortland got me handled

Absolutely horrible attitude! This is the second time in less than a year and since Trombley became Steve Shannon Tire, that I have had a terrible experience with the person at the desk/ phone. These last two times I have received the worst attitude. The first time was because the guy assumed I was talking about my previous vehicle not the current one, both Escapes, and actually huffed when he charged out from behind the desk to ask me to point out the vehicle I needed service on, rather than just believing the customer when I told him. I was shocked and dismayed to say the least! Would he give such attitude if I was a man?!! I needed new tires because I pinched on on a curb and took a chunk out of the sidewall. This time I needed to bring my car in to have tire replaced or repaired as it had a nail embedded and kept losing air. My husband made the appointment and had given them my number (as I suggested: my car, so I'd pay for the repair) and so when car was done, I received the call from Larry. Fortunately they were able to repair the tire but when I mentioned that I THOUGHT I had road hazard warranty (and was trying to say to him that I remember when I bought the tires, saying that I should get the warranty since I will probably hit another curb) but he interrupted many times and was abrupt in informing me that I do not. I said that I'm not trying to argue, it is just that I seem to remember saying yes when I bought the tires. He informed that he sold me the tires and that he "always" asks each customer if they want the warranty (so is this the same jerk from behind the counter from last time? Appears so!). Funny thing: my husband Just got new tires from them this week so his car would pass inspection, and guess what? Larry did NOT ask him if he wanted the warranty. I was shaking by the time I got off the phone with him. Called my husband and he called them to make the payment for the repair. I was so upset! So done with them. My husband is, too. This isn't the way customers should feel. Women shouldn't feel belittled just buying tires, for goodness sake! I miss Trombley and the manager, Ray, that used to be there. In total, we have 8 vehicles, mostly non-daily drivers, that my husband has taken to Trombley for years. We are Done! No more. Not unless they get decent management back in that place since the mechanics, themselves, are good. Steve Shannon is going to lose a lot of business, just from us.

My allignment was bad and ruined my Front passenger tire. I called them and told them that and I wanted New front tires. I went to pick it up, they pt the tires on said there allignment machine has been and come back in a couple weeks for the allignment. The current allignment would just ruin the New tires. I would not have gone there if they told me that up front
