Where do I start. Dan and Joe are two of the very best driveline mechanics I have met. Very honest and up front. They were the only shop able to figure out my driveline vibration without spending thousands to do so. Ford themselves couldn t figure out the vibration I took it to Dan here at klopps and he had it back to me quickly!! This is definitely my go to shop! Okay so I'm a skeptical person first off just put it that way!! I'm a self-employed owner operators a pilot car for New York State and I had issues with my transmission and through the grapevine I was told to go to these guys now first off I was leery!! but after 6,000 miles and multiple jobs and back and forth to Washington DC to get my kid no issues did have a little issues with the torque converter first off but everything cleared right up I appreciate you guys very much your friendly local neighborhood pilot carChris Honseler

My vehicle was received on short notice and despite a full lot, was diagnosed and repaired well ahead of anticipated. I was dealt with in a fair manner in all aspects. I appreciated that there was no trying to sell me of parts or services that were not needed, and what was needed was fairly priced. The whole process was stress-free.

I've taken my car to klopps several times and they've been nothing. But fair, with amazing communication and they gave me fair prices every time. I would take any car to them because I know it's in amazing hands and they answer every and any question throughly.

I have a 2016 Chevy Tahoe, the transmission went on my way to work on a Monday morning. I called Klopp's and they gave me a ton of information and got me a quote on what it would cost within an hour. I decided to use them and got my vehicle towed over to them. They called me back within two hours and gave me the run down on what was wrong with it and thoroughly explained the issue. I was back on the road by the following Tuesday with a rebuilt transmission, and only the internal parts that it needed were replaced. That's outstanding service with an emergency repair. I have a transmission now that is better than GM could ever put together, with a really nice warranty. They also inspected everything after I put 500 miles on it to make sure all was well.Service: Transmission

Great service, thorough, and detailed explanation on vehicle issues/resolutions! My transmission died and instead of charging me thousands for a replacement they were able to get the manufacturer extended warranty and saved me thousands of dollars! They spoke to the dealership and was able to tow the vehicle to them and convince the dealer to do this repair under warranty, thank you!! everyone go to Klopps!

I brought my truck into klopps thinking I would need a whole new transmission. After them looking through everything I didn t need a new transmission. They saved me a ton of money and the staff there is very easy to work with. Anyone who has anything going on with their vehicle should come here as you won t get taken advantage of and they will work with you!

These guys were recommended to me by my usual oil change place when they found an oil leak in my Jeep. Klopps had it squared away within a day even after I asked em to fix a slew of other issues as well. Couldn't recommend these guys more. Prices were very reasonable in my opinion as well. I didn't have a cheap job but I know from experience with past vehicles that some shops would gladly upcharge a customer on plenty. These guys were great. Even walked me thru what they had done when I came back to settle up.Services: Engine repair, Auto maintenance

Klopps is the type of Mom & Pop auto repair garage you wanna go to I usually do all my own maintenance but today wasn t gonna be one of those days. I m not local to that area being about three hours away.Without warning, the Ford Transit van I was in developed a coolant leak that wasn t easily seen.I was lucky to have my vehicle breakdown in a location where a shop with techs that had 40 years experience work. I m confident they could fix anything A crew with old school experience that s efficient with updated technology, with the know how.Nothing but the best customer service you would hope for, at a fair price, when disaster strikes Service: General repairs & maintenance

I went to klopps for an engine issue in my car. They were extremely helpful to me and treated me like family or a neighbor that just wants to help out. For someone who doesn't know much about cars or engines this was extremely helpful and I will definitely come back if I ever have a problem again.

I had my 2008 Cummins diesel truck down here for a transmission rebuilt a few months. They gave me an accurate time frame, kept me posted throughout the process, and when I went to pick up my truck they didn't treat me as if I didn't know anything about my vehicle, they explained everything they did and why they put in some of the upgraded bells and whistles, they explained what went wrong and how the newer parts they put in it will prevent future issues, and they're warranty gives me a huge amount of comfort for the next few years. Everybody down there was great to work with and very friendly I will definitely be taking my future trucks here whenever I have transmission problems! My diesel runs even better than when I first bought it now and shifts like butterService: Transmission repair

I had my Jeep at 2 other places who couldn't figure out how to fix it. After several weeks of that, I brought it to Klopp's who quickly diagnosed and fixed it correctly. Very friendly and knowledgeable people who actually help!

I originally took my vehicle to Klopp s because the transmission was shot. From the time they started looking at it they were very upfront, extremely honest, and timely with their work. A mere week and a half after my original problem was fixed and I was assured that it wouldn t occur again, the dash lights showed up again. I returned my car to Klopp s quite upset because I figured it was the same issue, however they took a look at it for NO COST the second time and gave me a rundown of the issues. Although you will normally pay a decent amount for transmission issues no matter where you go, I would recommend anyone take their issues to Klopp s, if you want the most reliable service for the cost. More than fair and nice staff!

What a great place and owners! He went above and beyond to help us with our truck. Took his time when trying to diagnose the issues and didn't try to tell us we needed things that weren't really needed. Very prompt at getting our next appointment scheduled to continue servicing the issues.If you're looking for an honest, humble, and reasonable auto shop...this is definitely a place to check out!

I went there and I thought I knew what the issue was turns out I didn t and instead of wasting my time and paying them to take apart my transmission they said that my issue was under warranty and I could go to the dealership to get it fixed. They could ve easily told me they would have to take apart my transmission but instead they tried to save me time and money and I appreciate that.

A tad late with this review but, I believe praise is in order for this fine group of people. I had my 1 ton truck diagnosed with suspected transmission issues and after searching for a reputable shop and asking friends for recommendations contacted Klopp's. I was met at the door and in less time than it takes to fill my gas tank, was informed that they suspected a clutch issue was the problem. My service was prompt, and along the way I asked them to look my vehicle over and report to me if they observed anything that would become an issue in the future. My oil cooler lines being suspect as the truck is 22 years old looked questionable and I agreed to have them replaced along with the new clutch assembly. Everyone at Klopp's were Friendly, Professional and Genuine. My truck ran better than it ever has. A bit of a drive from Canisteo NY but, well worth it. I have some service work I will need in the future and will be returning for sure. Hats of to the folks at Klopp's, Thank You.

I was in my first accident earlier this month and this was the shop that fixed up my car. They are extremely friendly and sweet, down to earth people. I would definitely bring my car to them again. 10/10 would recommend Klopp's for anything from an oil change to an accident repair. Stay safe on the roads y'all. They are the best auto shop I have encountered in my 22 years of being around cars.

Klopp's is a small local shop, and the people there are always personable and professional. After two years of experience working with them, I trust that their recommendations are in my best interests and NOT just a scam to get my money. On a number of occasions they've even recommended options that saved me unnecessary work and cost! They also make an effort to talk me through the problem so I understand the purpose of everything that's done to the car. I will continue bringing my car to Klopp's for future repairs and maintenance, and I would recommend them to anyone in the Corning area!

Called these folks while driving across southern New York because my SUV had developed a high pick noise. I followed my GPS to their shop and they greeted me in the parking lot. Drove and diagnosed it in 15 minutes has started repairs immediately. I'm traveling across the US and wish I had a local mechanic shop like this where I live. Corning, you are so fortunate to have Klopp's in your community. They are knowledgeable, skilled and an excellent value. Make them your choice for automotive repairs.
