Wonderful stay. The woman at the front desk was extremely accommodating with quarters for the vintage video games when we arrived later in the evening. The kayaks were a great surprise for my kids and we went all the way to the other side of the lake and back. The room was clean and nice, nothing amazing but comfortable. Porch out back nice for a breakfast- we picked up our own at Price Chopper nearby. Waterfront area had a neat bonfire area.

What a great place to stay when visiting the Cooperstown area. Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping, including the manager were very, very friendly. The rooms and cottages are comfortable, clean, well stocked with supplies and nicely organized.I spent time in the lobby and game room and enjoyed, everything they had to offer including the beach and docks.Don t miss out on this gem of a place.Rooms: They offer both traditional motel, rooms and cottages. I was able to stay in one of their cottages which gives you a separate bedroom, dining, living, and kitchen area.

The staff is exemplary! They make you feel so comfortable and are very friendly and family oriented. They also cater you your business needs as well. I didn't want to leave, and the access to the lake is easy. My family felt safe while we were there. We were very close to Cooperstown and all their activities. We're going back next week.Simply put, Amazing time!A must Stay for us!!!

First time at a resort of this type so was expecting Hotel room service. They do not make beds but clean bathrooms daily. Spent 7 nights so feel a change of bedding or more room service could of been extended. Older facilities the mattresses need to be replaced as you roll off the edge most sat on. Bathrooms seemed to be newly done so could be in the works for the future.

The bed and pillows at this place are amazing. So comfortable for everyone in our family of four. Waking up to look out the window or sit on the balcony with a cup of coffee and watching the lake shimmer is awesome. I have to say that a great part of our stay was being able to get honest recommendations from the front desk staff. From places to eat and relax with a drink to the latest art exhibits and operas you can count on honest opinions from these ladies. Loved this place!

We visited Cooperstown for 3 nights and stayed at this cute little lakeside resort. The cottage was clean and pretty comfortable (though bed mattresses were a bit noisy and not so comfortable) with a great view of the lake. There is a game room on the premises which is great for young and old alike. Small lakeside beach with free access to resort kayaks. Near all local attractions.. Would stay there again.Pros: Clean, pristine cottages, game room, kayaks, short drive to Cooperstown Museum and attractions.Cons: Noisy bed mattresses

We had an awesome stay at Bayside. The room was so clean and comfortable. We were on the backside with a beautiful view of the Otsega Lake. We were just a few miles from the Cooperstown and the drive between the Inn and the Baseball Hall of Fame is stunning. We walked down to the beach and it is really nice. When we go back we will stay at Bayside and get one of their cabins. I would definitely be happy to recommend the Bayside to anyone. Thanks for the lovely stay.

They have more than earned a 5 star review. I am here presently with my dad to visit the baseball hall of fame. He has trouble walking and there was room for his trailer for his scooter wheelchair in parking. We are right in the lake. Have a balcony and chairs. I walk down to a private beach. For the price a private beach ? Lounge chairs a fire pit several gazebos picnic tables grills the best looking clean portapotty on the beach you will ever see in this lifetime ? I am still amazed which prompted me to write this review. I noticed kayaks on the beach and inquired about the price and when she said free and produced a paddle and life vest I realized I was in heaven. We drove to town and I have not yet spotted a place on the water that included access to a beach and kayaks and all these amenities that wasn t a private cottage. I absolutely want to come back with my husband and kids. They also include a gaming room with pool table and arcade. Rooms are clean comfy and it s set up where you won t be bothered by your neighbors. You feel privacy and seclusion. You will not find a better place for your money. I wasn t a big fan of the hall of fame but staying here made up for it.

Horrible service. I had to put one star to post this, otherwise it would have been zero. Booked reservation specifically for the marina slip and a room for our anniversary, when I got there with my boat, I was told I hadn't made a reservation for the slip. I relayed that I wouldn't have asked specifically for a slip or if it fit my boat if I hadn't reserved for it. The man would not listen and basically called me a liar as he was apologizing for the mistake and told me that we could stay but there was no room for a boat. They made no attempts to accommodate us and I was the one who had to ask for a refund.

We were so unhappy when we left our room as soon as we possibly could wake up. When we checked in we realized a party was happening in their center room and we were placed in the room directly above and our young children were kept awake until 11pm. The room was so stuffy and hot and we could not work the heat/cool system and could not open a window, so we could barely breath. My husband and I literally did not sleep an hour through the night because we were so uncomfortable. As soon as my children woke up we checked out at 7:30 and I noticed we were charged an extra $20.00 for having children in a double bedded room. When I asked for clarification the front desk attendant was horribly impatient and mean. I suggested placing rooms with kids away from the party room, especially if this hotel charges more to accommodate this age group and the attendant was irate and irrational and horrible at customer service. As a small business owner myself I was shocked at how poorly she handled a simple constructive suggestion for future guests with children. I did not ask for my money back, a discount or anything, just a suggestion and she was quick to blame the manager and could not be bothered with any feedback. Your front desk attendant is the face of your business and it is their job to handle the good and the bad. I would never return where customers are treated so unprofessionally and poorly. So disappointing!

Front office personal argued about information posted on their website when we were checking in. I stated their website said they did not provide beach towels, she argued it stated the opposite. I ve included a screen shot from their website. It was simply surprised when she said they were provided since I had read they were not. No need to argue with me, I don t know why she felt that necessary.I had called months ahead of my stay to inquire about swimming or water skiing in the lake, the woman was short with me and seemed annoyed. If you read the other low rated reviews the responses support the argumentative nature of this person. Again, not sure why any professional would behave that why towards paying guests.3 stars for the space, pillows and accommodations. Plenty of towels in the bathroom for our large party of 7. The view was lovely and they had plenty of space outside for bbq ing and for the kids to play. The cleaning staff was friendly and replaced towels emptied trash when asked. The area is absolutely beautiful and the beach is relaxing. We enjoyed the mornings looking out over the large from the deck of our cottage. The pull out couch in our cottage was in need of replacement, my son slept with his head far below his feet as the support structure is stretched out and no longer holding the head of the mattress in line with the rest .The cooler smelled old an musty, 3 of our guests came down with sinus issues days after checking in (two of them cut their trip early and went home due to severe sinus pain and headaches). Once it was cool enough to open the windows at night things improved. Two extra box fans were in the cottage closet and helped keep it cool along with the ceiling fan.For the price I would have expected more, for the location and time of year it seems to be reasonable.Update*** As you can see by the owner s response, they are argumentative.I didn t want to bother with being argued with over the issues, you already had our money.Yes, I wanted to stay in that big hotel . Sad I didn t but I will next time I visit Cooperstown.Maybe try not to be so hurt by people s comments that weren t directed at you? No one said anything for you to hear, why would you even care if we wanted to stay somewhere else?Your staff set the tone for our trip by being uninterested in answering questions and arguing when I commented about website information. Why? Isn t it in your interest to be polite and helpful? Wouldn t you want to know if your website gave the wrong impression? I gave an honest review without malice, just the truth of our stay.-1 star for the unprofessional response.

Clean, well maintained facility with an old school charm. I found it unusual to sleep in a double/full bed. Maybe it was a queen, but it sure felt small. Aside from that it was comfortable. I hoped to have a view of the lake from my cottage, but alas I was not so lucky. Staff was very nice, and helped us procure a private driver for the evening.

Location was great! Right on Lake and you can rent their canoes and kayaks at no additional charge. Cottage was really quaint. Perfect for two people. I wouldn't put any more in than that. Only about 13 minute drive to Cooperstown which was where we spent most of our time. Will come back during summer months to enjoy it again and take advantage of the lake. Bayside offered packages for purchase on top of cottage rental. We opted for the mix and match museums. We received two tickets to Baseball Hall of Fame and Art museum, sample of fudge from Tin Bin(amazing and cute place), two coffee mugs and a gift certificate to DoubleDay Cafe(we ate there twice it was so good). Loved every minute of our visit.

We stayed 2 nights. It was extremely clean, quiet and cozy but offered more then enough space. They recycle, encourage using towles more then once, have a great arcade room with wicked sick older games, and the staff was polite, pleseant and fun. I'd stay there again anytime!!

I can not say enough great things about Bayside Inn and the staff! My friends and I have been staying at Bayside Inn every summer for the past 6 years. The location is perfect, just minutes outside of the town of Cooperstown. The fact that it is on the lake is PERFECT. We rent a cottage every year, there is usually between 7 and 8 of us that go each year so the cottages work out perfect! We LOVE staying here and count down the days until we get to go back starting the moment we drive away. They have so much to offer. They have kayaks you can use to go out on the lake, for free. The have a game room in the main building. Coffee prepared every morning. Grills placed every where. They even have a small beach and roped off area for swimming in the lake! If you have a boat, like we do, they even have a dock that you can keep your boat at!Jen and her staff are nothing short of amazing and polite! They always welcome us back each year and are always excited to see and hear from us! Whenever we have a question, no matter what time of year Jen is ALWAYS very quick to answer and such a pleasure to talk with.We have NEVER had any issues with noise, or problems with any of the cottages. (we've stand in a couple)I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend to everyone who asks that they consider staying here, it just really is the best place in Cooperstown to stay!

I have been here since Thursday night and already have had problems with their housekeeping. Sunday I put the service please tag on my door. I left in the morning and when I returned in the afternoon, still not clean. I called the front desk and was assured it would get done. Left again and when I got back that night...still not clean, I was told the maids were gone when I called earlier. I am handicapped and the front desk is a long staircase straight up. Since I had no clean towels, I had to get back in my car and go get towels and trash bags myself. Yesterday they didn t leave any toilet paper, I called and was told they didn t get in until 9:00am, but I could come to the front desk to get some. Have 2 rooms until Friday, so I have paid a lot of money to stay here, disappointed in their customer service, so definitely not worth the money, look around there are dozens of places to stay around here. Also the picture shows the rooms right along the lake, what a joke, the lake is here but straight down a LONG narrow road, no way I can walk it and I have younger and more fit people with me that doubt they can make it, they haven t made it all the way there yet.

I honestly have no idea where to start or end regarding our horrific stay here. I will keep it short- don t stay at this place if you want to enjoy your life. There are plenty of other options on the lake where possibly you aren t treated like a prisoner your whole stay. They will respond to my review in an aggressive manner as they love to argue instead of resolving anything they start. It s really unfortunate. Never have meant such nasty humans in a life time.
