The staff here at Mavis are spectacular. Myself and my car were both treated with respect by the staff. I took my car in for 4 new tires and an alignment and was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Their prices are also very competitive! I look forward to returning in the future.

Great service! Rich and a gentleman with glasses( I think his name was CJ , but my memory isn t working) either way I have gone there for the past 2 years but today s service just reaffirmed my desire to go here when possible. Thanks again guys

I went in for a state inspection on a Friday afternoon. The shop was busy but staff was courteous. I didn't expect it to be done right away so I had my bike in car and biked home. Received a call an hour later, biked back and picked up my car. Inspection passed. I have nothing bad to say. I would try them again when I need further service.Update 2/16/2024I returned for another state inspection, and my vehicle failed to pass due to rusty rotors. I replaced the rotors and brake pads on my own and got it re-inspected. It passed the 2nd time. Plus, marks to Mavis's team for their honesty and for not passing me on the state inspection because the rotors were truly very rusty and worn unevenly.

Always great experience here at the Commack Mavis. I just got in here soon before closing and the guys roomMy car in amd immediately plugged my tire from a nail I just got. Saved the night so we can continue as planned out to see Christmas lights.Thanks SO much to the excellent service at the Commack Mavis.Much appreciated!Jim

Made a 9am appt. Got there said 6-7 cars ahead of me. Had to leave because I had a 10:30 appt in Melville.Came back at 11:45 said still tons of cars ahead pry take two hours.So I left- made a service appt with Ford and they were quick and prompt.I wouldn t bother making an appointment here as they don t go by appointments at all. Wasted a 1/4 of gas going back and forth to this place for no service.Would not recommend. Go to your local dealer for service.

These guys are quick, man! Dropped my car off for my brakes and rotors & got the call an hour later that it was finished. I took my car off the lot and everything was buttery smooth, working the way it should. If you got any questions at all, Rich is your guy. Great, pleasant and very transparent person to do business with. Definitely gonna be my regular stop for maintenance from now on!

Honest service when bringing in 3 tires with screws in them. Did not upsell me. Honored online pricing when ordering one specific brand name, new tire for leased vehicle.

I got a flat on the L.I.E and decided to get both my front tires changed by the guys at Mavis. The shop is extremely close to my home and it would be quick repair. Talk to the clerk, got a price and left my car over night and didn't think much of it. Next day I went to pick my car up. The tire replacement wasn't bad, both tires were new and looked great. The mechanic told me that my car also got an alignment done. I was happy that was handled too. After paying the $453 dollars I went to my can, checked the back and saw a massive scratch on my trunk. Deep and unpleasing to look at. I informed them that my car was scratched. The man told me "it couldn't of been done here cause the lifts don't lift from the back". What ever that means. I told him that then the scratch happen somewhere else here b/c I know I didn't leave it my car with a deep scratch. He told me the boss would review the video tape and get back to me the same day.I didn't hear anything from them that day so I came back the following day to see how they would help me fix it. They informed me that the boss just got out the hospital recently and would review the video on Monday. About 5 days from when I got the tires replaced. I drove around with my car with the scratch and did some investigating on my own. I looked through my dash cam to see if I can find anything to show when the the damage took place. I wasn't able to catch anyone red handed however i did find something else. There was a clip where one of the clerks took my car out for a drive to see if the car needed and alignment. After driving it for about 2 minutes he says on the camera "this car doesn't need no f***ing alignment". Than why was i charged with $89 alignment? At this point I was just fully aware of the dishonesty and bad service that was taking place.When Monday rolled around I went back to the shop to see any updates. The clerk asked if I got a call from the boss. I said no. He gave a call to the boss while I was there and asked if he took a look at the videos. Then responded to the boss by "when do you think you can take a look at the videos?". Implying that no was informed in the first place. This just showed me that there was no interest in resolving the issue. This is when I brought up the "alignment" I received. Showed the clerk the video of their mechanic clearly saying that it didn't receive any alignment service. The clerk in the front called the mechanic to the front, and asked him to explain the video. The guy explanation was something to the effect of, he already did the alignment for car that's why he said this car doesn't need a one? I did not buy this explanation so I told them to not insult my intelligence and just admit. He doubled down and I just didn't want to deal with with and just moved back to the main topic of, how will the scratch be fixed. He told me I will receive a call at end of the day. So I waited.No call. To this point I was cordial with them and just was willing accept that mistakes were made. However when I back I wanted to resolve this issue once and for all, it was a full week at this point with no steps towards anything. I went back to check updates and a new clerk told me that the video was inconclusive. Also saying that if the accident happened on their parking lot, that they aren't responsible...I cut straight to the point. I gave them 3 options I could see this going down. One, they accept their mistake, send me to a autobody repair shop and get it fixed. By gones be by gones. Two, refund me in full for the awful service and lose my business. Or three, deny their wrong doing and i take legal action b/c I will not let someone or a company damage my property and get away with it.Long story short, they offered refunded me $375 and I accepted that b/c I didn't want to waste any more time. I don't leave reviews but I simply had to. Just looking out for future costumers. If they admitted to their mistake, I honestly would probably go back in the future. Just a dishonest job. (sorry for type-o)

I sent my son to get 2 new front tires. It took 4 hours for 2 tires. We got the car back with all the lug nuts stripped and over torqued. I had to get an extractor kit to remove the lug nuts and replace with new solid steel. The left front tire had 3 stripped lug nuts and one missing and one broken off. Had to drill out the wheel stud. My son brought the car back to mavis to ask them to do it. They told him to leave the car. I would think they would have done the repairs asap as it was them that screwed up the car! Needless to say I would buy tires from them but wouldn t allow them to put on any car I own going forward. Be sure to check out the work before you drive away and think your safe!!

In and out at a fantastic price! Had a bolt pierce my tire. They could have easily tried to gauge me but didn't and were able to fix my tire at an excellent price really quickly. Very happy with the service I got.

Extremely pleasant experience with this Mavis, Krystal the manager needs a promotion. We were given multiple choices for new tires, were not pushed in any direction, and were in and out within an hour with tires mounted. Thanks to Krystal and team at this Mavis location.

Stopped in today new manager Rich was fantastic. Got my service vehicle in and out without issue for oil change. He even managed to catch a nail in my tire when he went out to check my plate number.

I had a grinding sound coming from the rear brakes on my 2011 Scion TC. I brought my car in to Mavis thinking I needed to get my brake pads replaced. I bought my car used and the previous owner had put aftermarket calipers on the car. The calipers had developed complications. They locked in the closed position due to rust and decay and after trying to free them with heat and lubrication it was obvious they required replacement. The manager Rob took a special interest and made sure that the end result of the service performed was above and beyond. My brakes are perfect and the new calipers shine a bright red through my rims. I would highly recommend Mavis to family and friends.

Big help from Rich and Joe. They got me in quickly for a flat and when the car was in noticed my brakes were extremely low. Being a woman I was skeptical but they brought me out to my car and showed me what they were talking about and even gave me a crash course on how my brakes work! I would recommend these guys to everyone. Thank you so much.

Last weekend I had a flat and I called this place to fix it. It turn out that I did not have the wheel lock and they told me that they could work it out for me they made me drive about 10 mins to the shop for nothing because when I got there they said Oh, we don t have the tools! Then why would you make me go all the way there with a flat. That was so unprofessional by them. This can t be possible, offering services that you can t do is not right. I ll add a pic of how my tire was at the end of the ride.

What a joke. I've been going here forever and today they decided to not touch my car for 6 hours and then pretend its ok to not contact me whatsoever. I will not be back. It might have been different if anyone who worked there even pretended they cared. This location is a disgrace.

Brought my car in at 8:30 for an inspection. Was told about an hour. Called three hours later. Not up yet. Came an hour and half later and told I was next. I put two star because o get things happen to slow things down but one to four and a half hours and no contact on their end is unacceptable. I had been here in the past and had good service. I will not be visiting here in the future but I have it two stars hoping this is a blip on the radar for what had been a dependable place in the past.

Went in , first thing in a Saturday morning, had a flat and they were courteous and pleasant. I was told there was only 1 guy there and he was already working on a car but that my car would be looked at as soon as possible. They plugged my tire and I left an hour later, which was great. Thank you for the fast service!!

Got my car inspected today and they had it done within the hour. Travis was also cool and helpful with some questions I had. Would definitely come back
