We rented a boat here for four days. Sadly it rained for two of them, but we where able to get the boat out each day. It was a blast and the boat worked great! We look forward to renting a boat here next year when we come back and have the ability to fish and move freely up and down the river. I will recommend this to people looking for a boat to rent in the future!

Had a great experience at Clayton Marina. The entire staff was very kind and attentive in helping us find our first boat. Darin was great to work with and went overboard (pun intended) in helping us find a boat that meets our needs. He worked hard to find a boat that not only met our needs, but also was affordable for us. He followed up to make sure we were happy with our purchase, and even made sure we were comfortable in driving the boat on the river (he let us follow him in his own boat, while we were getting used to the controls and learning the safest routes). If/when we are in the need of a new boat, or anything related to boating, we will definitely return to Clayton Marina and Darin for our needs.

I have purchased two boats here.Dennis and the rest of the crew are good people.I always feel like we're treated really well by them. It's well worth the 3 hour drive, to get service like that.

Very good experience with John and Service. We bought a brand new SeaDoo from another dealer and it seems the new ones have a common problem. John serviced under warranty last year as fast as he could. Great communication. Will def use them again!!* Been back again, new Service Mngr, just as good as last. Very happy with them * although my Jet Ski trailer was damaged while there, light damaged and scratched paint*. I do not believe it was there fault.

We love our Sea Doo. Steve was very attentive to our needs and kept us informed on the order. John was very helpful in helping us with the drop off. We can t say enough good things about the staff at Clayton Marina. They really aim to please their customers and we are so appreciative of them.

Darren and Steve were fantastic to work with in the purchase of our Sea-Doo. They're so friendly and knowledgeable, and thoroughly explained everything we needed to know about the machine. Clayton Marina was great too. Recommend highly.

Service Manager Tyler went above and beyond. Was coming into Clayton for week long vacation and having trouble with Seadoo Spark Trixx. Local dealer/service in Amsterdam stated they fixed problem twice but machine still was not running right. Called Clayton Marina on Friday prior to arriving to Clayton on Saturday and spoke with staff who listened to my issue, stated that appointments for service were booked for the next two weeks but that she would give my message to Tyler and have him call me back. Within 30 minutes Tyler called back, listened to the issue and offered to "squeeze" a service call in first thing Monday. I left the machine with him early Monday morning and by noon time he had it running perfectly and back on the water. Machine ran perfectly for the entire vacation. Thank you Tyler for making time and providing excellent service. Your were truly professional!!!!

Overall horrible experience, left a few messages for the service team and never heard anything back, so out of curiosity i had my friend call and leave a message, who was a male and they called him back within 24 hours, the same day he left the ONE message actually! And I STILL haven t heard anything back, left a bad taste in my mouth and I m so glad I didn t end up bring my watercraft in for service.

As usual we rented a pontoon boat from Clayton Marina for our Grindstone family trip. Everyone is very kind and professional. This year "I" damaged the boat. My fault. They have me over a barrel and could have charged me whatever they wanted. They were very fair in what I was charged for the damages I caused. Might sound like a strange 5 star review but I find it reassuring to know even if I have a bad day on the water, I will be treated fairly by the marina. There are many choices one can make in Clayton for a marina. I'm glad we picked Clayton Marina and will continue to bring them my business.

Darin Barton and the rest of the Clayton Marina staff have proven, once again, that they offer the best sales and service in this area. In the fall of 2021, I ordered an AB inflatable RIB with aluminum hull along with a new Yamaha 9.9 electric start before we returned to Florida for the winter. When we arrived back in Clayton in June 2022, Darin had assembled all the inflatable's necessary parts including a new gas tank, battery (tied down) and the engine installed. He already had registered the boat in NY and had the registration stenciled on both sides of the bow. The whole rig sitting on a trailer ready for us to sign two pieces of paper, and he drove me over to the municipal launch and backed the trailer into the water with me aboard. The engine started immediately, and I drove away with our new tender. I could not have been more satisfied, and the whole process of order to delivery was outstanding. Thanks Clayton Marina!

Eric is great. Everyone there is very professional and straightforward. Brought my 1991 Ranger there yesterday and by 10:00am today list of parts & what it would cost to fix. Very fair prices.

I brought in my 2016 See-Doo this spring for some service and repairs and the service manager that I talked to was super helpful and professional, This week I picked it back up and everything that I asked for was done and I also appreciated how timely they were with the work I asked for

Took my boat in for service Like I have for years. Found out the service manager retired who took great care of me for 10+ years. I took the boat there like I do every fall for full winterization service and had them acid wash the bottom to clean up the boat. Upon picking the boat up found it was not done properly so I went back inside and asked the person to come out and take a look at it. I said I was not happy. They asked me what I wanted, I did not want my money back I just wanted the boat redone. They said they would call back they never called back. So if you wanna go here you constantly have to call and keep track if you asked me customer service is now horrible!!

Do not rent a boat here.I attempted to rent a boat Sunday to Saturday. When I first called to set up the rental, it was agreed that I would pick it up on Sunday before 10am. Two days before I was supposed to come and pick up the rental (Friday), a woman from the Marina called and said that I wouldn't be able to pick it up on Sunday because they would be closed. The purpose of her call was to make other pick up arrangements. She said if I came in Saturday before 12 and paid the rest of the bill and signed another form, they could leave the keys in it for me on Sunday. I couldn't do that because I am from out of state and would not be arriving until Saturday late at night. We agreed on Monday. Then, on Saturday, a different woman from the Marina called and said they were also closed on Monday. But she would come in and give me the boat, we decided on a time.Monday came and there was a storm, so we couldn't be out on the water so we decided I would pick it up on Tuesday.I arrived on Tuesday, and they said I needed to pay the entire rental week of Sunday to Saturday, even though I couldn't get it on Sunday due to their hours.I explained this to the 3 women at the desk (I believe I had spoke to each of them on the phone at some point), and they said that I could've picked it up anytime on Sunday and that there was someone there all day on Sunday. This is the exact opposite of what I was told on the phone. We had to go back and forth quite a bit and it was very unpleasant until they agreed to not charge me for Sunday, they still charged me the tax for Sunday though. Then, when I finally got the boat, the gas tank was broken so it just read 1/2 all the time and we needed to check it with a manual dip that I purchased out of pocket. Also, my dad pointed out some scratches on the skeg when we did a walk through of the boat to the woman who was showing it to us.When returning the boat, a different woman than the one who showed it to us saw the scratches and said they may need repair and we may need to pay for them. We explained that they were there before and pointed out when we picked it up. She had to go check with others and then came back out and said they wouldn't charge us. It was just a hassle and a poor experience, when renting a boat for so much money, it felt like they were just trying to get more out of us anywhere they could. It was also very disorganized and not well communicated, they should keep notes of communications with clients, like when a renter was contacted and what was discussed. We will be renting a boat every year for the foreseeable future, and we stay on an island very close to Clayton, but we certainly will not be renting from Clayton Marina ever again. We will find another place to rent.

They are absolutely amazing. The do what they say and they do it right. I purchased a complete package from them and I couldn't be happier with every aspect of the process. If there were 10 stars they would deserve it. I highly recommend the Clayton Marina. People like Darin, Dennis and Nancy do a fantastic job.

Wonderful people to deal with. I recently bought a small outboard motor, which certainly isn't a major purchase. The sales and shop staff still treated me like I purchased a yacht. I'm VERY pleased with their service and will definitely return. They also had the best price for the Yamaha I bought.

Clayton Marina's owner needs to MARK the NAVIGABLE CHANNEL at their facility as the water level in the area is the lowest it has been in decades, the marina is clogged with reeds & the navigable channel very tight. We got stuck in reeds & channel mud bringing our boat back in and actually brought up some debris, damaging the prop & engine housing. Cost us an additional $2k+. All this after our 1st boat broke down. It's all on you! Be very careful!

My family of 5 people rented a 19 foot Triumph for 5 days. The boat met our needs to get around the islands and had plenty of room and power. The customer service before, during and after was great. The staff were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely rent from Clayton Marina again.

We have been using Clayton Marina for years now for storing our pontoon and having it serviced. They have always had great customer service. Recently, my 1990 Rinker Captiva broke down, and Eric the service manager told me what it would involve to fix it. Eric is one of the guys you meet and you can just trust right from the start. There are other marinas I have dealt with in the 1000 islands region. He is a shake your hand look you in the eye kind of guy. Clayton Marina had a Zv18 Nitro for sale that someone traded in. Mind you, they do not necessarily sell Nitro boats or mercury engines. They gave me a solid deal, the sold me the boat way under market value based on what I saw around the internet. Also, even after I paid for the boat, they fixed livewell pumps for me, put in a new bilge pump, fixed some wiring, and they even ordered a new part for the trailer that was straight from Nitro. They could have said, "too bad, you already bought the boat" The took great care of me. I know this may sound like they paid me for this review, but they didn't. Great salesmen, great service, great business. I will deal with them for next 20 years. My brother is also buying to new Seadoos from them as well.

We reserved a boat for rental the day before we wanted it. The day we were supposed to pick it up I had a call that a family member was fading fast and had to rush home. At first the marina refused to refund. After a disappointing conversation they agreed to only keep $75.00. I won t be returning there ever.

Worst customer service and disgusting boats. Our pontoon boat broke down on the first day and their response was completely unprofessional and did not care about our experience. The boat was filled with ripped seats, spiders, and dirt. They did not compensate appropriately for needing to drive back to the marina and lose an entire day and a half. The owner Pat was useless and I highly recommend never stepping foot in this place and renting from Aqua-Mania because you get BRAND new boat rentals from there.

I rented a 19 triumph yesterday and my family had a blast, especially my 6 and half year old daughter. I let her hold the helm whenever it was safe. I think it ll be one of her most memorable moments.I had wanted a 17 which they ran out. But it turned out 19 dual console was just the right size for a family of 6. The boat was nice, the throttle precise and easy to control. I had rented a smaller vessel over 10 years ago and this one was definitely much better. Staff was professional and helpful. The only issue was the gas gauge didn t move at all for 6 hours of high speed, having me concerned it wasn t working and we might be running out. Then it moved down a notch just 5 minutes before we returned. From how much gas I was charged afterwards it must have a 100 gallon tank so we weren t actually in any danger. We went to Boldt castle for a tour and Alexandria bay for lunch. Both places were fairly easy to dock, and free, probably because it was a Monday and fewer tourists. Thanks again for a fun day. I ll definitely rent from them again when we come by. After all it s such a beautiful lake, and so big that I estimate we covered less that 5% of what we could have.

We have had a rental slip at Clayton Marina for many years and have purchased several boats from them. Staff and owners have always been friendly, knowledgeable, respectful, and helpful. I recommend them highly for all of your needs.

Not very friendly customer service the gentleman seemed to want to go home more than he wanted to help an out of towner. Didn't detail the newly purchased (used) Seadoo or fill it up with fuel, or offer a simple rope to tie it up at my dock when I bought it I drove it home to my camp (on the water).

Do not recommend! Very Rude (if they call you back) and incompetent staff. So many other knowledgeable people in the area, go there!
