Went to get a transmission for my 2014 Jeep Patriot Sport 5spd and they didn't disappoint! Cheap as heck also!Ended up trading in this Jeep for a 17 Jeep Renegade

Good: Really friendly staff, and they pulled the part I needed (Toyota car horn) for $15, plus I got to pet their friendly junkyard cat so I'm one happy customer! Only sad thing was when I went there and saw the place was swarmed with Monroe county sheriff officers. They were robbed last night and found out about it when they opened the store this morning. I hope they catch who ever broke in.

Had a rim split on a 98 explorer..needed a replacement immediately.The replacement was not pretty but was good enough to get me rolling again.

They got the wrong part the 1st time I went, after I came back I was told an hour so I decided to wait. After an hour they came out and said the technician just pulled the car in it's going to take another 1.5hrs or they can deliver it. Decided to have it delivered since I waited so long and they never delivered the part. Had to go back a 3rd time.

I placed a order for a a/c compressor they said they would have a used one in 24/hrs. They never contacted me & told me they had to order a new one and it would take 2 WEEKS before getting it. THEY ALSO CHARGED ME A EXTRA $100 because of this!! Also they haven t even given me my Core Charge for returning my old A/C compressor after I replaced it with the one they ordered. THEY NEVER CALL BACK ALWAYS ACT TOO BUSY.. or maybe it s jus towards certain individuals either way I WOULD LIKE BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE

Trying to get my truck inspected last minute only to find the check engine light was not working and when we opened the panel the whole panel failed. Action Auto was very helpful and friendly in a pinch. We got the replacement panel and back to the inspection the same day.

Very "Customer Service" friendly Employees The two Women at the front window are Amazingly knowledgeable of the shop and what they have and don't have for All vehicle types. The guy at the window was also very Helpful as He got up too check My tire size for me too purchase tires/rim.Thank You All for making me comfortable considering the racial tension forced upon Us All by higher powers.

This 5 star review is for the customer service alone. I called for a part for for 30+ year old car and wasn't to hopeful of finding it and unfortunately they didn't have it. But the person on the phone was very nice and helpful answering my questions. Customer service 5 stars will definitely call if I need other parts in the future.

Customer service is garbage, price list isn t specific until you re lugging heavy objects and being told about a bunch of hidden fees. Waste of time and money.

Great place for parts, reasonable prices and prompt service. Nice people too. Bought a good used Honda wheel with a good tire on it for lower price than any other I saw online or off.. Action is now my favorite wrecking yard in Rochester area.

I was very pleased with the people and the service I received here. I'm not from this area and was needing to replace two tires. They did that and the cost was very reasonable. Once I went to pay, their card machine was down. I had to go to the atm at the gas station next door. When I came in to pay they took an additional $5 off the bill because they said it wasn't my fault there machine was down and they knew that using an atm had a fee. So they covered the fee. I was very pleased with my experience today. I recommend others to consider using them if they need a set of used tires.

i have such fond memories of this place from 30+ years ago. there was a gutted fiesta yard car that was used to look for parts. i remember driving that thing. when i tell the story, it goes along the lines of "so i took the car and took the dog" but i think the dog part was just made up to embellish the story.

I've been calling junkyards all morning looking for an old hard to find part. Most of the shops I talked to were very friendly but not Action Auto Parts. When I told the woman what I was looking for she snapped that she told me yesterday... ironic considering I didn't start calling anyone until this AM. She then put me on hold just to come back and scold me some more and ask we why were even bothering to have this conversation. That's a great question, why would I bother to do business with them. I certainly won't make the mistake of trying that ever again.

I have owned a construction company most of my life and am by no means a gear head. My friend Jim, a long time auto mechanic was with me and assured me Action Auto Parts would have what I needed...but for me going to a used auto part scrap yard was a little intimidating. However the people at the desk were busy but courteous and quick to help as were the workers out on the lot.. Needless to say we found exactly what we needed after which we met the women who ran this operation. No wonder the staff was so helpful... their boss is "Solid Gold." The kind of person who puts nothing before the customer! The tail gate we bought for my pick up was an excellent condition factory part; not some after market piece of junk. It was well worth what I paid for it and the service was excellent right down to the personable cashier.Thank You!They can also order new parts if you dont find what you are looking for!

The problem with a rating system like this is that its mainly the disgruntled that leave feedback, and they're less than 1%. The rest of us happy customers rush home to install the part they miraculously and affordably found for us. They are not perfect, but in the incredibly complicated world of used parts, they know better than anyone I've seen the multiple factors involved with changing models and years. Its always my starting place and I rarely have to go anywhere else.

I have a GMC S-10 with a 350 small block. I went to Advanced to get a 10 inch cooling fan. After spending 45 min trying to teach the retard at the counter how to use a computer I left with no fan. Than I went to Action Auto. I walked in and told the nice gentleman at the counter what I was looking for. The attractive lady sitting at a desk to the left of him looked over and said, we have one of those. So I went in the back warehouse with a nice young man that was wearing glasses, and sure enough hanging on the rack with hundreds of other fans was the exact one I was looking for. Now that was impressive. How did she know that? Anyways the young man with glasses took the fan over to his work bench and plugged it in to show me that it worked and it did. I was in and out in less than 10 min. Friendly atmosphere and great service. Next time I will skip the retards at Advanced and go see the woman that knows at Action Auto. Great job team Action way to go.

Don't even bother overpriced overpriced overpriced x3.I needed a starter for a overhead cam Ford Taurus. They didn't have the part but could get it for a $100.00. I thought, "Wow auto zone has a rebuilt for 99.00." Yeah,don't even think of this place! I called Northside and got the part $48.00 out the door. To Action AutoParts before penetration use KY and at least a reach around.

They seem to be a smaller yard, but I have had good luck with parts there. They do seem a little unorganized. I wanted them to mount the tires and rims I purchased there, it took them two days "due to the tire guy not being around"

Prices seem fine here but the service is simply terrible. They are very rude every time I go there, and have even rudely talked me out of a sale. Seems like a bad business strategy but maybe that is just me. If people here were more friendly I might consider buying here but they talk down to you consistently even though half the time it seems like they have no idea what they are talking about. This goes especially for the kid behind the counter with the glasses, he is very rude and short with you and doesn't seem to have a clue about cars even though he will try to put in his two cents. I will never go back here again I would rather get decent service elsewhere. Also if you need any sort of specialty item they will charge you outrageously so beware of that.

Ive used action a few times and was happy with the service except for the last time in april of 2014. i paid for a new part to come in and they told me it would be here in 1-2 days and it took 7 days. i was not happy about that but the prices are great and like i said that was the only time i had issues.

Omg they are magic and organized like crazy. Circuit board for back lights and radiator 50 bucks sack. Looking excellent condition and my tire but it all on. Board for free install.

Needed a passenger window for my Pontiac Vibe and they were the only ones that had one within 100 miles. I was in and out with my window in 10 minutes. They have a large inventory and there is a certified mechanic available after hours. This will be my new go-to spot for parts.

I was looking for a very hard-to-find part, which I could not find anywhere else in town. Julie worked very hard to find a supplier that had the part and did, a high quality part for a good cost. There was an issue with the supplier, but Julie went above and beyond to take care of it. I am very pleased- I didn't think it could be done. I would go back to Action.

Disorganized is the one word I would use to sum up my experiences. I've been to this yard for 3 different parts. The first part I got, I went in ordered the part, left added instructions to give me the mounting hardware, and then came back later and got my parts with no waiting. That part was great.Second time, had them tell me the part wasn't available, but it might be coming on a truck later in the week. Call back several days later and part is still unavailable. Can't complain - if they don't have it, they can't sell it.Third time - wanted a ignition module for my car was told they had it in stock. Paid for it and was told there would be a 20 minute wait. Told them I would come back at the end of the day to pick it up and when I get there I find out no one had pulled the part. Waited an hour and fifteen minutes just to have someone tell me they'd have to refund my money because "someone in the back" couldn't find the part. Called back today to ask if they'd made any progress (was asked to call back the day before) and was told their shop in syracuse has the part. Was also told that I'd have to come back, pay again for the part, and then wait 3 days for it to come in.Though some of my experiences were ok, their policy of forcing the customer to pre-pay for parts is beginning to wear thin - especially when they screw up and then still insist I come in yet again to pay. I even offered to let them keep the money pending delivery the first time they offered a refund and was told that they may not ever be able to get the part. In the end, if you ask me, I would rather not spend time waiting uselessly for part. I would also rather not come in, pay, come back to get a refund, then come back to pay, then come back again 3 days later to pick up a part. That's four freakin visits for one part! They're also located in a spot that's hard to get in/out of due to traffic.Sorry, but with customer service like that, I'm not going back if I can avoid it.

Traveled over 1hr away just to find out the location was not even operational, even though their website said they were open and even had new cars arriving that day.. Very misleading (was very disappointing)
