Joe really took the time out to explain what was wrong with my transmission in my Hyundai. I was very happy with the work done and the customer service was excellent.I recommend Redline Transmissions highly.

Definitely a 5 Plus Business!! Outstanding Customer interface and technical performance!! I selected Red-line after speaking with 2 other transmission businesses. I did not get the same level of comfort discussing my problem with them. Joe at Red line listened well and understood my position on a potential major repair. Problem resolved to my satisfaction. Highly recommend Red line transmission and Joe!!

This is the only transmission shop you need.We were traveling from Fort Drum, NY to Missouri, when my Son's Jeep Cherokee started smoking. A mechanic shop in Watertown, NY over filled the transmission by two quarts when they flushed the transmission.Redline Transmissions was able to get us right in, corrected the issue, and checked over the work the other shop completed. Incredible help here! They didn't talk down to me, calmly explained what was likely wrong with my car (that the TCM was wonky) and laid out a clear plan about it!Very warm, friendly, and professional too! I trust them, and will be returning for all of my transmission related needs!

Cannot speak highly enough of Joe and Redline. Had an issue with my transmission over the weekend and they were able to fit me in Monday to take a look. They had things fixed by that afternoon (my issue turned out to be electrical vs mechanical, but still!) 10/10!

Brought my car in, the guy scanned it for codes and drove it around. Comes back and was told that my transmission has gone bad and it would cost some $2-6k even for used and even if I did want to buy one, it would be impossible to find one specifically to my Toyota.Had a 2nd opinion, dude comes up with the same codes, turns out my speed sensor has gone bad hence my why my transmission was acting up. A $15 sensor repair that these guys did not bring up to me that could have been a possibility. My car runs just fine now.While these guys were nice, I felt like they weren't even trying to figure anything else out other than "You might as well sell the car at this point because we can't get parts for it, new or used." I almost got rid of my car based on their suggestion over a super cheap fix had I not gotten a 2nd opinion.

My transmission had been making a clunking sound when I would go to shift into gear. I had it under warranty and went in to get it checked out. Right away they could tell something was wrong. They had it for about five days. And in that short time frame they were able to contact the warranty company, begin a claim, get a new transmission, and install it. They only did it in five days! I was impressed by their quick and efficient work. My truck now shifts beautifully and I have not had any issues. Very happy with their work. Highly recommend! Rich and Joe were excellent. They honored my warranty,no question asked.They provided driver to take me home,they called me daily to let me know status.Parts were ordered and expedited to ensure excellent customer service,Rich always went out os his way to keep me updated. once parts arrived his staff immediately worked on my car and after the repairs were completed my car was cleaned and ready for pickup.The car was cleaner than when I dropped it off.The repairs were excellent the car ran great and drove perfect. Rich is a dynamic person who shows compassion to his customers.Rich EXCEEDS all expectations and quality of work.You do not have to pay more at Redline to get great service and excellent results. Very quick work, extremely professional. I would trust them and highly recommend them to anyone. UPDATE Just had to deal with them again for my son's car. I can't say enough about how good these guys are. They know their stuff and they shoot straight. Really nice people to deal with too.

Had the transmissions rebuilt in two older (2002) Subarus - one manual, and one automatic. The manual transmission rebuild came with a 12-month/12,000 mile warranty, and the automatic came with a 24-month/24,000-mile warranty, which, when we had a couple of problems a few months later, Redline stood solidly behind, and did the repairs with no hassles, and no charge. They even offered to replace the bad steering rack in one of the cars for free, if I went and purchased a new rack, since they already had the car apart on their lift. I bought a rack, brought it to the shop, and they installed it, for FREE. That's going above and beyond the call of duty! I am VERY happy with this business, and highly recommend them!Service: Transmission

Got the transmission rebuilt in my Chevy Impala. Great work and extremely friendly. Very quick turnaround. The guys here are great and take pride in their work and stand by it. Absolutely will return if I ever need work done again.

Great group of guys..... Rich at Redline took time and explain to me what was going to happen and how long it was going to take. Very upfront and forthcoming with all recommendations to get my Ford F-550 shifting properly. Thanks for all their help. Looking forward to doing business with them in the future and will refer all my friends there as well.

Brought my Chevy Sonic in for what I believed to be a transmission problem, Joe said he would check it out, but in his experience the transmission seemed unlikely. He got back to me a few hours later diagnosing the issue as a blown turbo charger. Didn't even take payment for the time they spent on it. Truly a professional. If I ever do have a transmission problem I am definitely coming back to Redline!

I was travelling to Rochester on New Year's Day and something terrible happened. My transmission blew. I am from Toronto, Canada and am now stranded in a foreign country on a major holiday.Fast forward the next morning and I'm trying to sort this mess out and I phone the first auto repair shop that google sends me to.They tell me they don't do transmissions but were very helpful and recommended Redline. Remember I'm about 200 miles away from home and am depending on the kindness of strangers.The talked to one of the owners (Joe) and he sends a car to pick me up from where I'm staying so that we can go and arrange for the transfer of my car to his garage. In our conversation I told him whats wrong and he gave me a tentative quote but did not commit because he obviously needed to see the car. By the way the person who picked me up was another owner named Rich...that's service and dedication.I finally get my car to the shop and in 20 minutes the told me my transmission was broken and it would take 2 days to repair because they needed to go to Buffalo for a new part.I'm Freaking, I've already missing work and it looks like I'm gonna miss more. Both Joe and Rich are working with me to find a solution and since my car is a 2005 I came up with the idea to find a used transmission...all I wanted to do was get home. Against there better judgement (which I totally agree with) they did as I asked and found the part and made a special trip to get the part by the next morning.These guys and their mechanics are awesome. Not only did they have the job completed by 11:30 the next morning, they shuttled me back and forth to my motel room, talked to me like I am their long-time buddy and gave me tips on how to get home faster and even advised me on other issues on my car. Best service at a car repair shop ever.I feel kinda guilty about not buying these guys lunch or anything but I was in a major rush but if they ever find their way back to Toronto or close by please contact me and I"ll spring for a meal.Best broken car experience ever..made me feel like family and made a potentially stressful experience very relaxing and easy.

If you are having transmission issues and you do not know where to go, read no further and call Redline! They are everything you want in mechanics. They care about you and your situation. They went out of their way and actually picked up my vehicle on a Friday from the dealer I brought it to which didn t get to my vehicle for two weeks! (Cough cough Vision Jeep) and had it up and running by Monday. They were kind courteous and most important during what s going on in the world right now they were very fairly priced. They even recommended mechanics to use in the future. I will continue to tell everyone I know about them.

I cannot recommend this firm too highly. I own a British car with a "quirky" manual gearbox which they expertly repaired, displaying considerable patience and ingenuity, and they were kind and helpful beyond all expectations. For transmission work I doubt you could find anyone better in Rochester - or even elsewhere.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Rich and his staff are great at Redline. We've been going to Rich for years for any transmission problems we've had and never have been disappointed. I've referred a few friends that have been in need of transmission work as well, and they have been very happy with the level of service they received as well. Rich also worked with our warranty company that was very hesitant to pay for the repairs, and was able to speed the process and allowed us to have minimal contact with them, and got them to pay for the repairs. It was a rough process with them made easy by Rich, and the fact he cares about his customers enough to fight for them with a less than stellar warranty company. Redline will always be my transmission shop of choice.

They were quick and thorough with fixing my car. I appreciated the guys talking to me on my level since I don't really know that much about cars let alone transmissions!! I would highly recommend Redline to anyone. Professional and friendly, even to my son who had to take it for the week checkup.

Redline Transmissions is my go-to guys for all my truck and car auto repairs. They troubleshoot and diagnose problems quickly and the repair gets done promptly and skillfully. They make sure I'm good to go before calling to let me know my vehicle is ready for pick up. I love these guys and highly recommend them!

I have used Red Line several times for more than just transmission work and have been more than satisfied. I have recommended them to friends and they were not only pleased with the repair but also how they were treated. In one instance my buddy saved almost $500 from the quote his regular shop had give given.

Had to have my transmission rebuilt. Everyone at Redline took great care of us. They are very careful about making sure everything is done right and everything is working well. Very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend them.

I found Redline when searching reviews. There are several shops closer to me, but none of them offered the dedication to their customers, honesty and willingness to fix my issue. They'll treat you like a person and not a paycheck and their work speaks for itself. I'll gladly travel the 40 miles if I ever need them again.

Joe is #1 when it comes to transmission repair. Customer service is second to none. Highly recommend for all your vehicle needs. I am a mechanic and Joe is the only shop that touches my transmission.
