I ve dealt with My Friends a Mechanic for years now and recently went in for a new steering shaft. They quickly diagnosed and fixed up my truck. I will only bring my vehicles here for any type of service. Reasonable, respectful, and quality work. I was waiting months for my car to be fixed at another place so a friend refered me to Myfriendssamechanic and they got it done in a week. My car is in tip top shape now. They handled all of the insurance stuff. I literally didn't have to do anything unlike the other place. So now I'll only take my car to them because they're hard-working, trustworthy and efficient. Also they did a beautiful job cleaning out all the glass from my break-in so it's safe for my little one.

They are the worst. Don t ever go here. They will leave ur truck parked up front with the keys in it unlocked over night. No one got a hold of me and I received a text from my sales rep that my truck was left for me to pick it up at 8pm? I left it with the shop, not the dealership. This is the most unprofessional mechanic I have ever delt with. If I give u my keys I expect for u to hand my keys back to me with a written sheet of what u looked at and done. Do not go here! I repeat this place does horrible work at best. Their bumper fix was two screws in it to keep it up . Hope those screws don t rust. I learned about this place through a friend a year ago & am I ever so appreciative of that friend!! This is my 1 and ONLY mechanic, I will not take my car ANYWHERE else!! The receptionist is super friendly. I always wait while my car gets worked on & we always have many conversations. I can talk to her like she's my friend I've known for years!! The mechanics are also great & very friendly. They do a fantastic job & I've never waited more than a hr. The prices are extremely fair & a nice little bonus is if you pay cash they don't charge tax. If I could give 10 stars I would, because this place is the best I've ever been to. In my 17 years of searching for a honest mechanic I have finally found one!! As I said I will NEVER go anywhere else, and I'll NEVER trust ANYONE else to work on my car. Thank you My Friend's A Mechanic for the amazing job you do on my car & your outstanding customer service as well!! Ty for being affordable & honest, you've earned my loyalty as a forever returning customer!! :) (:

First impression was ruined when I walked into thier trashy trailer office to hear a customer being berated over the phone.Needed a simple window repair. Charged $900 for a fix that lasted 4 months. Took it to a real mechanic who found it was repaired with electrical tape and zip ties.Was having transmission issues and they charged me $500 for cleaning and repairs of the system. Didn t fix the problem. When I called back they said something like: we don t want to put hundreds-of-dollars of parts in there for it to not do anything. After they had already done that twice.Garbage people, garbage service, garbage professionalism. Steer clear of these scammersEdit: So I did a little research Absolutely every five-star review here is from long-time Facebook friends, family or paid review-boosters (yes, that s a thing.) Ive been searching for a great personal mechanic for years and My Friends A Mechanic id recomend to any of my friends or family. They custom bent an intermediate pipe for my 77 grand prix and installed it cheap and fast was done in a couple of hours. Very friendly and cool people! I bought a car from Excell Auto Sales on 5/1/2021. Andy was very helpful and did a great job getting me the car. The car was supposed to be detailed but wasn t and I found dents in it that were not there before. Andy had the dents fixed for me which was great.On 5/25 the hood latch cable snapped. I had to get my hood closed but drove with caution since I knew it was not secure. I reached out to Andy and was directed to My Friends a Mechanic. I called several times over several weeks leaving voicemails (approximately 10) and did not hear back. It was only when I informed them I would show up and not leave until my car was fixed that I received a call back. I scheduled an appointment with the mechanic for 6/9 at 11am. I was told they could not fix my car until they ordered the part.I was told I would receive a call the following day when the part came in to schedule an appointment. Instead I had to call on 6/15 because I hadn t heard anything. I was able to schedule an appointment for 6/21 at 12pm to get my vehicle fixed. In this time I moved from Rochester to Buffalo so I confirmed Monday the 21st at 12pm since I live almost 2 hours from this shop. When I arrived I was met with an attitude when the woman I spoke too claimed I did not have an appointment and she couldn t get me in. She threw her planner at me showing me I have no appointment.I told her I do not live in the area and I needed this fixed since I work 30-40 hours a week and have little time to drive to Rochester. I asked her if I could take the part and go somewhere else since Lemon Law requires them to pay for the part. I was told they will not pay for it unless I have it fixed there.I left with a broken and dangerous vehicle. I am angry that I was disrespected like that. You have been warned, do not have anything to do with this company. Looking at reviews now I see they have poor management so do not go to this company unless you would like to be treated like dirt.

We brought our Kia to them to fix a frame issue. Best customer service and work I've had done in years. Nice to know there's still an good mechanic out there that appreciates your business. We will all of our vehicle to them in the future. Thank you!

The most amazing n caring people I have ever met.. they make sure they call thru out the day to let you know what is going on with your vehicle.. this will be the only mechanic place I will ever take my truck from now on..

My Friends A Mechanic is the BEST! They're honest & do a great job for a great price. They don't cut corners & explain everything they're doing. Chuck & crew are amazing & Karen keeps it all running smoothly & always with plenty of laughs. I highly recommend them.

Awesome crew here! Recently had some frame work done that most of the big shops don't do anymore. These guys had a quote for me in minutes at a VERY fair price. Left the truck with them and they started work right away. They gave me a couple of calls over the next few days to let me know exactly what was being done and how the work was coming along. Picked the truck up and couldn't be happier with the results! Really friendly, professional, and KNOWLEDGABLE crew at My Friends A Mechanic. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

Chuck and his guys did a Great Job on my SUV. I had a dent and I needed to get it fixed before I returned my lease. He had it done faster then he said he could and the work was excellent. And he did it for less $ then his estimate. Thanks Chuck

I've been to this Mechanic a few times and i love this place. I'll admit I was a bit nervous after first switching mechanic but this place has great customer service and good prices. The person at the front desk always knows what they're talking about and always gives good time estimates. Additionally they do free diagnoses for your car which is much better than the dealership fees.

This is a great place to get your car fixed. They are well versed in all things and can diagnose and fix your vehicle fast and efficiently. They won't try to up sell you in any way and will only do the work you want done. They do everything from oil changes to collision. This is the best local small shop garage I've ever been to.

I want to personally thank these great people for getting me and my son home to NYC. We had a transmission issue and they fixed it so we could at least get home following a fun vacation with me and my son. From NYC to cedar point, to Niagara Falls to Toronto Canada to Rochester. They analyzed the issue, drove me back to hotel and picked me up to get vehicle. It s nice to know there are still some good people left in the auto mechanic environment. I d highly recommend their honesty, loyalty and dedication to their business. Thank you again for getting us back on track.

I brought my top of the line 2011 Nissan Maxima SV to My Friend's A Mechanic on 2/02/2021 per a referral from Joe at Fetzner Collision. My driver side door wouldn't open from the inside or out. Within a few minutes of bringing my car in, I was told that the mechanic had opened the door...I was thrilled. The office manager (Karen) came back to say that the door latch was broken and that the assembly needed to be replaced. She said that it would take 2-3 days for the new part, and a used part would be the same cost and they would be able to get my car done by the end of day. I was not willing to wait 2-3 days due to the weather and having to climb over the front passenger seat to get into the drivers seat. I received a call later from Karen who stated that once they got into the door further, they found that the door handle cable ($80) had snapped and that my car may not be done until the next day. I told her that I needed my car back and it was done by 5:00. On my way home I noticed that my phone adapter was missing out of the closed cupholder where I left it. In it's place was a screw pen. I called the next morning and spoke to Karen who said that she would call me back to let me know if she found it. She never returned my call. In the meantime, I was cleaning my car from the dirt/oil that was left on my leather interior and when I got ready to leave I noticed a crack on my lower front bumper. I took pictures and drove over to the shop to show them the damage. Karen said that she would go and get Chuck. Chuck came out to look at the damage and immediately stated that the damage was not done at their shop and proceeded to point out minor faded paint on my bumper and said that maybe I hit a snow bank. I repeated to him that someone there hit my car and he continued to deny it saying that the mechanic who pulled my car into the bay left it in the same spot all day until they fixed it and moved it back out on to the lot. My car was in their possession from 8 AM until after 5 PM. After chatting with Karen from the time I waited there for my ride, I was ready to refer this business to other's I know, but after their blatant dishonesty and rudeness, they are Trash. At this rate I'm sure that other negative reviews will follow.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I love this place so much that I don't want to share it with anyone. Chuck and Karen are wonderful people good mechanics and have great customer service. But most importantly they are honest and that is hard to find in the car repair world.

Absolutely blows my mind that this place has a 4.4 star rating. THEY WORK OUT OF A CAMPER. These people and Excell Auto are complete jokes and don't know anything about cars. We brought our Nissan Rogue here for problems we started having less than a year after buying the car from them. We purchase what we thought to be an AWD Nissan Rogue but turns out there was no AWD in it. They made us pay for the parts to put in. All the lights are on the dash and they said they turned it off and fixed them but that was a complete lie. I will never go back here or recommend work be done here or purchase cara. I promise you will lose alot of money. You've been warned. Stay away from here.Will be seeking legal action with them and Excell. You shouldn't have to pay for AWD more than once.

These guys are great.. second time there.. first time for oil pan on my truck.. this time for tires and new shocks and struts.. very reasonable prices, great work and friendly staff.. they now have a customer for lifeThanks guys

24 days later and my car is still not fixed or touched. Every time I call and check in it s another day or after the weekend or Monday or Tuesday. Been dealing with them unwillingly for a year now I bought a car from the dealer that they do business with and everything they replaced on the car before I bought it was never really fixed for instance the rack &pinion was replaced on April and I bought the car in may ... I was taking the car back ALLL summer for noises coming from the wheel and they swore every time they couldn t find anything ... they would have my car all day to find nothing ... today may 13th the rack needs to be placed ... I call them and they tell me to bring the car in to rediagnose they keep the car 5 hours to tell me that the records show the dates are over a year and they have nothing to do with it ...
