This was my first service at Kalpins and I was very impressed. I was treated courteously and with respect. The answers to my questions were thorough and made me feel at ease about the service being performed. My car was returned to me clean and in good shape. I would definitely recommend this shop.

Came to this shop on a whim when my car began acting very erratic. Had no idea what the issue was or where to begin. Mr Kern took the time and exhibited immense patience explaining the problems to me, someone who knows next to nothing about cars. They worked fast and efficiently and gained a loyal customer. Bought my wife a car from them in June. Withinroughly 6 weeks.I had to put a new exhaust system on it. ($500) In December (6 months) after buying the car I had to put a new transmission ($6500) in the car. I now understand why they were pushing the 3rd party service plan so hard.So now with the parts and the cost of the car I'm now $17,500 in on a 10 year Subaru.A day after I wrote this review. I just found out I need to put a starter in this car for another $200+Talk about buyers remorse.

Got my car inspected with 0 issues at all. John Kern is a great service advisor, and got me in and out pretty fast. The atmosphere here isn't a stereotypical auto shop/dealer. 100% coming back from now on.Service: Vehicle InspectionService: Vehicle Inspection

I will always bring my vehicle here the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. I was recommended by my Dad to leave my car for shock and mount replacement with these fine young gentlemen. They took great care of me, the service was extravagant and pleasant. Being a female you never know what you're going to walk into with an auto repair shop where they try to upsell you and make you think that you need more work than you really do, that didn't happen here. It was wonderful from drop off to pick. Thank you guys for making my car drive like a dream again! I appreciate you.

The service was fast and the guys were friendly and honest. Was my first time there but I will be going back for future car needs. They did have a really convenient way to setup appointments online but when I got there it didn't register in their system. They still got me in really fast so won't deduct stars for that just an FYI if you book online may want to call to confirm the appointment.

What a great experience I had at Kalpins. It was easy to make an appointment and they were on schedule. Had oil change, inspection and wheel alignment done timely and professionally. Finding a good auto repair shop is a lot like looking for a good barber or dentist. There are a lot of bad ones out there so when you find a good one you keep going back. People generally have "their mechanic" that they always go to. But in these times getting an appointment is such a hassle in Rochester right now. So when I Googled for the best mechanics in Rochester ny, Kalpins Express Auto Care showed up first place. So I called and made an appointment, within 3 days my car was booked in for repair. Not only did they do a beyond dealer quality job, they gave me a very upfront honest price that beat a very well known mechanic shop by over 1 thousand dollars....I couldn't believe it. So if u want a honest mechanics who really takes care of their customers and knows what they are doing... Do yourself a favor and book with these guys, I promise you won't regret it.

Fantastic customer service. My and my wife's cars both needed work which was completed very quickly. Not once did I feel pressured for extra services nor did I feel like I was a nuisance like I have before at some of the bigger chain shops. Never met a company that really cared about the customers more than they cared about the money that the customer brings. Recently got Corrosion FREE rustproofing done on my vehicle by the guys at Kalpin s Express Auto. They were thorough, efficient and honest. They called me in as they were wrapping up and gave me a chance to see everywhere they applied the Corrosion FREE spray, giving me a full rundown of the areas that were done. Highly recommend.

Goodyear Eagles ready for the road during my lunchbreak was impressive but the real win was finally getting an answer to the windshield wiper hose that didn't spray the windshield! Three different shops in the last year were asked "hey, while you're doing the brakes/oil change/whatever can you check out the passenger side wiper spray, let me know if it's something you can fix" and still a sputtering. Thanx, Matt! I'm pleased to trust Kalpins with my auto repairs knowing they paid attention to even the 'little' stuff! Todd and the guys were great. Brought my 09 kia Sedona a in for inspection and oil change. Turned out I needed rear coils. They had it all back together and ready to roll before my work day was ended.Only down side, they need to get envelopes for key drop.I only work not a block away so all about that location.

Very disappointed, I was charged ($531) for stuff my vehicle didn't even need. No tests/diagnostics were done to see what the problem was, They based everything off what Google said! Will never go there again!

They were able to take car quickly for a NYS inspection. Took them longer than usual because I needed parts that were not in stock.Very friendly and knowledgeable. Will be back.

Don t do these type of things often. Been a long time customer. Said they d take my vehicle in today. Came in today and then they said they couldn t take it til sometime nxt week . And The short human at desk was very dismissive. Had to find another place.

Amazing quality, friendly staff, they explain every possible issue in depth so you have a complete understanding if there s any trouble with your car, and they never try to make you buy unnecessary junk that your car doesn t need.Seriously an amazing place to get your car checked out at :)
