I had never used Gearhead Automotive before but their business was recommended to me. When I had a sudden problem with my van, they were immediately responsive and willing to look at it the next day. They were quick to diagnose the issue, responsive, communicated well with a very fair quote and my van was ready in a timely manner. I would recommend their business to anyone who is looking for an honest and reliable mechanic. Thank you Travis!! I will definitely be back for future needs.

I stopped into this shop today with an unusual request regarding a brakeline repair. I assumed the answer would be no, or you need to make an appointment, but instead, Travis stopped what he was doing to help me, and he fixed my part in minutes. This is true customer service and was a tremendous help to me in completing my project. Thank you Travis!

My car started shutting off on me on my way home and the engine was smoking. I had an appointment for later in the week at Gearhead but things were now dire, so thankfully my car was able to make it to Gearhead late at night, I dropped my keys in the Dropbox. Travis was understanding when I called and told him about the new issues, and said he would try to get my car taken care of earlier in week if able. Not only was the work on my car finished on the original day I had scheduled to drop it off, the price of the work was extremely reasonable. Travis was transparent every step of the way and even though it was only my first time meeting him, he s down to earth and treats you like family from the jump. Also, he likes dogs and that s always sign of a good person. I love to support honest people and I m glad I took my car here instead of elsewhere.

I called them after getting a flat tire. They were busy, but made time and helped me out. They removed a big chunk of metal from my tire, patched it and had me on my way. Very nice guys. Highly recommend them.

Had been going to a very reputable Mechanic for 7+ years and was very satisfied with their price and work. I was on my work early on a Friday morning when a brake line went. My mechanic was 20 miles away from where I broke down. I asked around looking for a local mechanic, 2 of the 3 people I asked recommended Gearhead Automotive and mentioned Travis by name. I needed the car repaired as I was travelling out of town the following day. I took the car in and had them check it out. Travis told me that the brake lines on my 20 year old winter car were all in the same salt corroded shape and recommended that the all get done. I explained the tight schedule that I was on and needed to be on the road early afternoon the following day. Travis talked to his crew and they agreed that it could and would be done if I left the car. Needless to say, the job was done on time with a very fair price. I now have a new automotive mechanic shop, great quality, fair price and closer to home.Cheers Gents!

Blew a tire and because his truck was being used, Travis literally walked to his shop in his shorts to swap my tires on a Saturday morning. Now that's service!

Excellent service done fast and with a friendly manner. They took me right away and fixed transmission leak very quickly. The mechanics were great to work with and provided many updates. The owner Travis also introduced himself to me which was a nice touch. I'll be back but hopefully not soon

The guys over here at Gearhead garage are fantastic! I had a pretty expensive repair a few months back and was getting awful quotes from other shops. Travis was recommended to me and he took me in ASAP knowing this was my only car and repaired it at a completely fair price walking me through the whole process. Car has been running fine ever since and I honestly can't recommend them enough! They helped me out in a jam and did so with the upmost professionalism and honesty!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Travis is one of a kind! We ve used him for several vehicles. He s honest, personable, and cost effective. He s helping me build my dream Jeep. He s done tons of research for me, answered my millions of questions along the way, and been incredibly patient with me. My friend recommended this shop to me and they are great! I called to schedule an appointment to get my license plates changed because the bolts were rusted in place and they had me come right over. I was in and out in 15 minutes. They were really friendly. I will definitely be bringing my car there from now on!

I couldn't say enough good things about this business or Travis. In trying to schedule an appointment to put my winter tires on, Gearhead squeezed me in the next day. Harding working, time efficient, and very reasonably priced. I've had a lot of trouble with auto shops around Fairport/Rochester with failed promises or price gouging, but that is certainly not the case here; now I refuse to take my vehicle anywhere else.

Travis and his team helped us out when we were in a bind!! He was able to get us new tires at a reasonable price and installed the next day. Very professional, upfront and thorough. And an added bonus was the extra detailing he did to our truck. My husband was impressed with how clean his truck was! Definitely recommend Travis and his crew for automotive needs!

So impressed with Gearhead Auto!! Strayed from my go to guy because Travis was available on a Saturday. SO glad I did! He is knowledgeable and thorough. Travis shopped around to find me the best prices on my parts, even went without charging me for some! His generosity was so encouraging for me during a stressful time. My car is practically brand new. I picked it up freshly detailed too! I will be recommending Gearhead auto to all my friends and family!

My car has had nothing but problems since I bought it in August. I found myself yet again needing a mechanic, and I found the best. Travis was honest and explained everything I needed done. He fixed it quick and got me back on the road. Him and his team went above and beyond and the work was exceptional!! I have finally found a repair shop that I can trust and will be bringing my car there anytime I need repairs. I highly recommend!!!

Our long-standing, reliable local mechanic moved away a couple years ago and I've been looking for a replacement; now I've found one. The owner helped my son out with a door lock problem and didn't charge him, and my son was impressed with the interaction, so when we had a brake problem a few weeks later I had the car towed to Gearhead. Travis is knowledgeable and communicative, documented his diagnoses with photos, got the work done when he said he would, and charged very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Travis and his team went above and beyond for me today! Had some tires swapped around on some rims today and he not only swapped but balanced them for me and did everything I asked to the letter! He is beyond professional, personable and trustworthy. I don t trust a lot of mechanics because of past experiences at other shops, but Travis and his crew don t mess around and are not there to judge. Was great to have a mechanic feel more like a friend willing to lend a hand instead of trying to push other unnecessary fixes. Travis you gained another customer and I would trust you with my Jeep s any day!

Travis and his staff are top notch! Ive been going to Gearhead for the last year a half and I'm beyond thankful I found a exemplary mechanic shop!! Travis and his staff go above and beyond for his customers to make a life long relationships. Travis listens to the needs of his customers, gives his recommendations of what needs to be fixed all while walking me through step by step of whats wrong. I can always count him to make me feel empowered on understanding my car! I truly cant say enough great things about Gearhead and if I could give this review 10 stars I would because thats truly how awesome the shop is!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

If you re having any issues with your vehicle I one hundred percent recommend Travis from Gearhead Automotive! My husband was out of town for a lengthy amount of time and I managed to completely kill the battery in his Jeep. (I never started it) I know absolutely nothing about cars so I wasn t thrilled at the fact I had to go somewhere and possibly have someone sell me something. I called around to a few places, but this place was able to get me in that day! So I went in and Travis not only tested the battery, but also tried to charge the battery for me. He gave me the print outs saying how much battery life and how much charge was left in the battery. Unfortunately it was dead but he worked with me to get a brand new battery and he was able to install it for me that day! Prices were very reasonable and the service was not only professional but also quick and efficient. My husbands pride and joy is running again and I m out of the dog house! I definitely found myself a new mechanic that I trust, and I will continue to recommend them to everyone!

Absolutely satisfied. My tires were on their last legs and I needed something before winter. The tires I had my eyes on were on extreme back order as in the company hadn t even produced them yet. Travis walked me though many similar tires and asked me what I wanted out of them performance wise. He led me to a tire that was equally just as good in performance but actually cheaper on the wallet. Installed in a timely manner and answered any questions I had. Very flexible with appointment times as well. If you need a reliable, no nonsense, honest mechanic, I would try this garage out.Service: Tires
