I ordered tires and made an appt to have them installed 2 weeks later at 10AM, as soon as the store opened. Unfortunately, my vehicle wasn't taken in to be serviced until noon...two hours after what I thought was the first appointment of the day. I would strongly suggest searching for tires elsewhere as many comments reflect similar situations. The price of the tires alone are not enough to make me come back to the Rochester Costco Tire Center. Poor customer service...not typical of Costco.

Run!!!! I don t care how cheap their prices are. Customer Service is impossible! They never answer the phone and appointments are a joke.Putting new tires on was a nightmare and I d rather pay double the price than to go through that experience.One of the tires was defective and it took me over two months to contact them to schedule a repair time.It s still not fixed correctly.I am so frustrated and cannot stress strongly enough that you should not buy your tires at Costco.

Took 2 hrs for a tire rotation even with an appointment mid day on a weekday. Car didn't even go into the bay until an hour after the appointment was scheduled. Hope you're not in a rush if you come here.

I had the worst experience having a set of tires installed. They must have sent 10 reminders for me to be on time for my appointment. In fact, they say if you re late, you could get canceled.So, I show up a bit early to make sure I will be able to have my tires installed.Upon arrival, the agent said that the tire installation would take about 1 hour. I returned in one hour and the car had just been taken in!I had no comfortable place to wait. I was absolutely miserable. I did not want to do a shop. That would have made it worse. Waiting with a basket of food in warm weather would not be smart.The tire installation was not ready for another hour. That means two hours after my installation appointment time.It turns out that they were taking walk-ins for repairs and doing those before servicing my vehicle. I was absolutely livid when I found out.Customers with appointments should be serviced first!Also, at some point, there was only one person handling the whole tire department.Even though the prices are good, I would not recommend getting tires at Costco. I d rather pay a little bit more money and have better service.

Don't use this place. A job that should be taking at most 40 minutes have taken more than 2 hours, and still waiting. Go somewhere else. Strongly not recommending... first experience at Costco tire center, potentially the last one..

This review is about customer service. We are traveling from California and needed a quick tire patch due to a nail puncture. The guy working at the tire department intake counter in the afternoon of 8/11/2023 was among the most unhelpful and abrasive Costco employees we have encountered anywhere. A Costco store in California,mounted and balanced the set of 4 new truck tires for an emergency repair on-the-spot. Yet this small market Costco told us to come back in 5 days for a simple patch job?? Needless to say, another tire store handled the repair in 20 minutes. Come-on Rochester Costco Tire Center: You can do better than that.

I decided to purchase a new set of tires from Costco's Tire Center about two years ago. The price was right, and I was able to shop while I waited. The tires come with a lifetime warranty that requires you to come in every 5,000 miles to get your tires rotated. This is a free service to everyone who purchases their tires through Costco. Not only is it an awesome deal, but I have had no issues with the crew. I did make the mistake of trying to get in on a Saturday without an appointment (try a weekday instead), but the guy at the counter helped me schedule an appointment for the following week and it all went smoothly. I haven't used their online scheduling tool, but I will definitely do that from now on, especially if I plan to come in on the weekend. Overall, 5 stars.

These technicians have no idea what they're doing. Definitely don't get rims here if you own a Subaru. Went there multiple times bc they wouldn't put the new rims on without a part Subarus don't need. They're legally required to take our old tires but guess what were left on our old rims in the back seat when they were finally done? "Any junkyard will take them" can't believe I trusted that lmao. Turns out they didn't transfer the tpms readers either and then they offered to charge us $45 to put in new ones, very cool...

A very great experience of the purchase. I had my 4 tires replaced with an installation fee of total $60.52 on 11/24/2018 in the Costco Tire Center in Rochester, NY. A Penny Sale was started from 12/14/2018 till 12/24/2018 for the same purchase as mine with a free installation of 4 tires. I checked with the manager of the Tire Center, James. He said this sale is only specific for the time frame advertised. However, he was very nice and refunded the installation charge using a coupon for me. I appreciated his kindness a lot.

Good prices on tires. Subaru owners, go somewhere else. Idk what it is about costco, but in 3 states they managed to strip and break my lugnuts. They told me its "common with subarus." Never had that happen anywhere else. Today, I waited 5 hours to get my car on the lift, only to be called to tell me they broke one, and if they broke another, I'd have to have it towed. When I checked in I almost went somewhere else but bc no one was at the desk and the phone was ringing off the hook (that no one was answering) I decided to just let them do my car. Mistake I won't be making again.

The prices are good and the lifetime tire rotation is hard to beat. However, I can only give 2 stars because the customer service is poor. Ordered tires and was told it would take 1 week to come in and they would call. I did not receive a call. After 10 days I started to call. Despite trying to call at different times during the day, the tire center doesn t answer the phone. I called today and still no answer from the tire center. I spoke to the administrative staff who was very polite but hung up on me. Costco can do better!

I trusted the technicians at Costco with my car, but they took advantage of that trust and broke my car. Yes the tires and service are cheaper, but they broke the arm rest off of my center console while moving my car. When I filled out an incident report the manager and insurance company told me they are not responsible for the damages. They told me I was lying about the damage being caused by the technicians, who claim they didn t do it, and left me out 1,000s of dollars or repairs. Meanwhile they charged me 600 dollars for the tires.

Poor communication over many trips, wouldnt take old tires, didnt explain why they didnt install the old tpms on new tires or that i wouldve needed to purchase new ones and just left the gauge light on. I don't know much about cars but idk that anyone i worked with knows much more than i do.

Week 3 and still waiting for an acknowledgement of our order. We ordered online over 2 weeks ago, big mistake, the tire center in our local store can t even look up the order status or give us a number to call. Online support is non existent and their automated customer service was no help. Extremely disappointed with the experience so far.

Outstanding prices on tires, decent selection, fast service. What may have impressed me most though is the Manager is out there helping the rest of the technicians getting it done ! That is very unusual for management to be doing something usual and not just flying a desk . Definite kudos for the tram effort !
