One of a large chain of gas stations and convenience stores in Northern NY and Vermont. Always popular with my motorcycle friends because of the premium grade non-ethanol gasoline (rare). Also, no prepay required for cash customers at the pumps. This store and parking lot are always clean. There is a very large selection of prepared hot and cold food as well as groceries. Extra large selection of ice cream and "soda fountain" ice cream dishes. There is a couple of indoor tables where you can enjoy your snack. I have always found the staff here to be friendly and helpful. Stop for the gas...buy the banana split!!

I am not trying to dis Stewart's. I religiously use them above all other gas stations. The one in chateaugay , NY tho... I have to just say the last two times I have stopped in, the bathrooms are so dirty, my fear of germs has returned. I have never seen any Stewart's so filthy in my life. The garbage cans are overflowing in store and bathroom, pee all over the toilet, wall and floor. Normally I just tell myself they may be short staffed or really busy. But this has been the terrible condition of the Stewart's in chateaugay the last several times I have stopped in.

The service here was pretty good and all, the only reason I am reading 3 stars is bc I stop here specifically for their coffee, and the location of the coffee area could really stand to be improved. Its right on a 3 point corner as soon as you enter the store, and its a VERY busy corner where the way to the restroom is, there's also some dining tables on this corner, and the main entrance is on this corner as well. It seems as though a lot of customers get caught up here waiting to pour their cup, etc. While trying to stay out of others way who are coming/going from the store and heading to/from the bathroom, etc.. It may sound like a silly "beef" to have, but IMO... Its just very awkward in terms of set up for those of us just wanting a quick cup of . Suggestion would be to simply move the java station down closer to where the microwave area is, that way you would free up a lot of congestion at the entrance area.

We stopped by to get ice cream. I think they have the best ice cream around. They also have alot of other food hot and cold beverages and food. Cigarettes, lotto tickets and gasoline. Good place to stop if your low On gas and hungry. Very friendly.

I can't think of anything bad to say about Stewart's Shops. They keep the prices reasonable, service is always great and you won't find better dairy products.

The wife and/or I go here every month or so when I need to get my US mail. I live in Canada while I complete my education. I get pills from the VA and we find this place very clean and convenient for a quick bathroom stop and a bite to eat before heading back home after visiting the post office. Staff is always friendly and the store is always clean.

Usually not too bad of service, but lately been going downhill culminating in today s events. Stopped in to grab a breakfast sandwich before work and the two I got had moldy cheese and aluminum foil on the sandwich. I m not sure why a huge hunk of aluminum foil would even be close to the sandwiches as they aren t used to wrap them. Terrible to think the employees lately have been letting the place go downhill.

Dont use the atm. Twice in the last two years ive gotten a 10 put of it insteas of a twenty. Then the managwr Matt makes you feel like a theif and you have to fight to ger your money back!!

Stopped at 5 10 am ... no coffee ready no breakfast sandwiches made was a waste of time stopping had to go to another store
