5 Stars across the board. Would give 10 if possible! These guys are the best and I will continue to use them for all my transmission work going forward. Truly the most honest automotive repair shop in the Long Island area. They ve taken great care of my Trailblazer and will definitely be taking care of our 78 Z/28 Camaro if needed. Great job as always guys !!!!

These kind folks Took me in at last minute, walked me through the problem, repaired my truck before promised, and were beyond reasonable with the price.We need more businesses thay operate like this. I will certainly recommend them to anyone that needs transmission services. Thank you.

I called at less 10 Transmission shops and not one of them would help me with my car. I have a 1967 Pontiac Catalina and I wanted to put the shifter on the floor instead of on the column. Everyone else wanted to charge me though the roof or they didn't want to do it. I brought my car in at 8;30 this morning and they called me by noon to say the car is ready. Had a broken bolt in my transmission case from a job I was doing at home. Tried everything I could to get it out but was not successful. Staria s was the only shop willing to look at it. He told me he wasn t sure he could get it out, and we may have to replace the whole case but he would give it a try. Called me a couple days later and said he was able to get it out and had everything back together. Charged a very reasonable fee for everything. My Volvo decided to take a break, vacation; whatever. Had a feeling it's the transmission, not that I know anything about cars except to do oil changes and check the tires. But faithfully Google knows a thing or two ( thank goodness for Google!!!) So I took it to Starias Transmissions on Middle Country Road. Young man in the office with nice head of white hair told me he would check it out. No Charge. Music to my ears. Who does that now a days. Well two days later, sure enough transmission is on the brink and $3,300 should solve the problem. Took my baby home and decided if he is going to leave me stranded, than I need a newer beau. Service was exactly as discussed, no charge. They are very busy so it took an extra day, but very professional, friendly and all in all price comparable. Explained the problem thoroughly and did not pressure to fix it. Some auto shops don't even want to look at Volvo's.

I brought my work van in there on Monday, they told me they were backed up 3 days to even look at it.Not only did they look at it, they rebuilt the transmission before the holiday weekend, I swore I would be vehicle-less, for at least a couple of weeks, but they came throughHighly recommend, timely service, fairly priced.My van is running like a champ nowService: Transmission

I have been using Staria's for twenty years, they are absolutely the best in the business. Vinny and Tony are great people, very honest and stand behind their work 100%. Don't hesitate to use them for any transmission issues, you will not be sorry. By the way their prices are very fair as well. I was hesitant on whether or not to have a rebuilt installed on my old 2001 Ford Expedition with 195,000 mile. He told me i couldn't replace the truck for that amount. He was right. I shopped for trucks. I knew and loved my truck that was my spare vehicle so I went with it. Shifts like a brand new truck now. Did great job at a great price with warranty. Im actually driving this truck more then my Caddy ATS that has less then 50,000 mile now. Its like a new truck to me. Just want to thank you guys for being honest and having pride in the work you do. Commercial van broke down during the busiest work period. They got the van towed and back to work in about 12 business hours. And the price was great. They do quality work and deliver on their promises.

been dealing with them for close to 20 years and recommended many others to go there one of the only honest tranny shops on long island. ive had people go there ready to shell out a couple grand on a tranny when it was a simple 40$ part. highly experienced shop...

This shop is a rip off. swapped parts off my car and told me I needed more extensive repairs. No one here is a certified transmission technician. ASE does not recognize this shop as being certified.
