Service is always speedy and completed as promised. I have never felt overcharged or been forced to get additional services. Tommy is extremely friendly, helpful and you can tell he values every customer. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Worst experience! First impression middle country road was blocked off so I had to make a circle this was a sign! I should have kept driving. The internet shows an offer buy 3 get 1 free and they try to up charge you every single way. If I was going to spend 1000 plus on 4 tires I would have just went to Costco. The guy is a thief and at first I had a better impression of the guy in the front but he could not deliver anything he said. I do not recommend this place. Coming here is almost like going to the casino you never know what u will get! Rewarded or Robbed ! Good luck!

When s the last time you went to a tire shop and didn t have to buy a new tire? I was sure I was going to need a new tire based on the nail poking out of it (see photo). I walked up to the counter and Tyler greeted me. I was ready with my Tire Replacement Plan paperwork from Toyota. Tyler asked me if it was holding air, and it was. He said, Let s take that nail out and see. He did, and told me I was all good. I was incredulous. Tyler walked me over to my car, showed me the tire and poured water on the hole to show no air was escaping. Tyler said, I like to sell tires, but only when you need a tire. I was shocked. I then figured I d at least have my tires rotated while I was there. A few minutes later, Tyler said I was all set, he marked the tire so I could keep an eye on it (it s Monday and no issues whatsoever),and that there was still no charge. I was speechless. The least I could do is tell everyone about Tyler and the great job he did. He certainly turned a stressful Friday into a cool breeze. Pepboys, you ve got a gem on your hands. Thank you, Tyler!

Ben was incredible! I stopped in to see if someone could help me with a coolant level light on my dashboard and within minutes of walking in Ben came out to my vehicle to take a look. He was able to solve the issue for me quickly and send me on my way. Great, fast service and no pressure to spend money on things I didn't need like I get anywhere else I go for help with my truck. Thank you so much Ben!!!!

I was glad that they were open on Sunday, Christmas Eve day, to replace my dead battery, but the work they did was terrible. My Mercedes GL450 battery is located inside the car under the passenger seat and I understand that it's difficult to work on, but they left the terminal clamps loose and didn't even tighten the clamp that bolts the battery in place. As I'm driving the car 2 days later I smell wires burning and find out my new battery is moving all over the place. Had to have my regular mechanic, who was closed on Sunday, replace the battery cables because it melted, which cost me more money on top of the $439 Pep Boys charged for the repair. Beware of poor workmanship at this place!

Went in for just an Oil Change and State Inspection. I had barely finished the second chapter of the book I brought with me when the technician came out to inform me they were done. Techs were both polite and efficient.

i went to this pep boys in centereach because i needed routine maintenance done,they filled my oil and did a few other things and then told me i needed new front and back brakes,they were very eager to replace my brakes even after i told them i had to go to work and i could come back a different day.gave me weird vibes so i decided to shop around and see if i could get them done anywhere else and believe it or not staria AND firestone told me im not even close to needing new brakes! I could go another 30.000 miles at least before i would need to replace anything and keep in mind my car now only has a little over 8k miles on it.they really just tried to rob me and take 780$ from me for something i didnt need! Trash folks over there,thank god i trusted my gut on that one.

Can't say enough about the manager (Tyler), and Chris. We're very appreciative of them willing to take us in right before close, and stayed beyond closing to fix our battery issue. Not only were they welcoming, but they executed the job immediately and effectively.Not the closes option for us but definitely the only one will turn to for future needs.Many thanks guys!

Whenever I am in need of vehicle services, particularly tire service & suspension, I cognizantly go out of my way to pass dozens of other shops to visit this one - 2196 Middle Country Road in Centereach because of the high quality of service and treatment I get, and every single time. Tyler s customer service is second to none and shout out to Christopher for his attention to detail when taking care of my car.I highly recommend this Pep boys, as they are honest, genuine, and very good at what they do. Thank you!

I went in today, because competitors said it would take several hours to fix the slow leak in my tire. Christian and Tyler had me in and out in 15 minutes with my tire fixed! Bless these young men!

me and my boyfriend came in today for oil changes and tire rotations on our cars at about 4pm and were immediately greeted by tyler we informed him how we had two cars for oil changes and tire rotations and he said there was a car being finished up so he would get us in as soon as possible and 5 minutes later we see tyler pull in BOTH of our cars himself and do BOTH of our oil changes and tire rotations BY HIMSELF both within 45 minutes because the other guy was busy, we were amazed to say the least, all while also answering the phone, we both also got a sheet saying what was wrong and what wasnt with both of our cars, i will definitely be returning so tyler can do my brakes. AMAZING service done by tyler id give 10 stars if i could!

Stumbled upon this place while I was in the area and my tire sign was lit up. I went inside, was greeted very professionally which is always a plus. I actually had more problems with my car that I didn t even know about. They discussed all the options with me and gave me the best deal they could offer. I normally don t write reviews, but now a days common courtesy isn t even a thing; but here everyone was really nice. Especially the manager at the front, I believe his name was Moneer/ Muneer. Thank you pepboys for a wonderful experience! I will be back!

They will charge you to recalibrate the TPMS sensor after a flat repair. Sometimes this will disappear after you drive over a certain speed or, in my case, it needs to be done through the car s infotainment system. I do this regularly if my tire pressure goes low and it needs resetting after filling my tire with air. It takes me all of 30 seconds to do, yet Pepboys charged me $5 to do it, and they didn t even ask if I wanted them to add that. Such a joke.

Very poor workmanship and customer service. A wheel alignment was performed by an unqualified member of the service team. Subsequently, 1 of the four brand new tires I had purchased from this location blew out. I returned to the store and was informed that only an alignment technician should perform wheel alignments and the service manager had performed mines previously. Although I had my receipts of purchase and warranty, I was still charged for another wheel alignment and two brand new tires. Very disappointed with this company and their policies!

I want to share my experiences that I had here. I ended up bringing my car in for an oil change. Once I walked in it was a warm welcome I felt, I asked the assistant manager if I could get an oil change she was very well educated when she explained to me what kind of oil change I can get. She did say I had to wait which was not a problem because it was busy, but I understood. Once they pulled in my car they checked the tires and told me I need new tires soon I asked how long do I have til then the service manager that was talking to me was well educated and very nice I think his name was Vlad. He was very nice and respectful. He told me i had time but would need them soon. I told him I will make an appointment for the tires next time. He then told me if I go on the website and if there s a coupon I could use it for the service. So after saying how my experience was with this store overall I would tell my family and friends and coworkers to come to this location.

Overall good experince. They (Mike) quoted me on a 4 tires and get one free sale for a specific tire I was looking for. They were the lowest price I could find. The installation when smoothly and the team was friendly.

Waited four hours from 930 to almost 1215 to get an inspection. The only thing wrong with two lightbulbs above the license plate that had to be changed and they wanted $27 per lightbulb installed. I had an argument over the price and they told me that was policy. Finally, the manager came and took $20 off my bill to calm me down . So I paid $20 plus $15 for two lightbulbs instead of $40.

Absolutely great service! Professional and helpful. Short staffed but still got my car in. The new manager there was very knowledgeable. I'll be back for sure! They even had coffee and very clean waiting area with TV and coffee! Thanks Pep Boys!

I went to this location for tire replacement and the guy at front desk recommended all the services i should get and when i rejected, it took him one second to turn from a nice man to complete rude guy. He told me that i need to change my car s brake pads which i just did a week ago. I don t know why he got so offended by not accepting what he recommended but he does need to undergo a customer service training. Giving attitude won t help to grow the business. Personally never going back and not recommending at all
