Photos are worth a million words.. and this describes my full experience with the business absolutely a disaster!!! No professionalism or work ethic.. these people hold no pride in their work!! This is how my car got returned not to mentioned other things that happen in the process and one of them being tow truck hit and broke one of our gate posts and no curacy! I am so happy with Doublin Auto. I just had my muffler and exhaust system worked on. I saw the muffler pipes broke, and was hanging down. The car made such a loud noise it was so loud you couldn't even listen to the radio, and my wife, she said I have a headache every time I'm in the car. I certainly did not want an exhaust pipe hanging down just a few inches off the ground, jamming into the road when driving. So I called Double N Automotive and spoke with Jay. I mentioned AAA suggested Double N Automotive. I needed the car repaired fast because I did not want that pipe to tear off, if it jammed into the road when driving. That could cause more damage to get repaired, so repairing it now is safer than waiting for an accident. They said everything has rotted out and I have 2 options, replace everything that is needed for repair, or 2 we can do the repair, and do some welding and cutting and make the repairs. The first option replace all the parts over $1,200. The second option is to do some welding and cutting and make the repairs for less than $250. Wow! what a savings. Actually with the AAA discount another 10% savings for a grant total of $242.99. How the hell can you beat those savings! More than that, it is an AAA service center, with an extra measure of assurance the work is certified with experienced technicians working on my car. �I was done in less than 3 hours. I am so pleased I chose Double N Automotive to do service on my car for me. �The team (and they are a team, you can definitely see it just by listening to the technicians and watching how they work) in my opinion, are some of the most experienced technicians I have ever had servicing my car. I am extremely pleased! Thank you Double N Automotive. I would definitely recommend Double N Automotive to any of my friends who need any type of auto service on their car, or truck. Oh just to mention, my car now runs with the soft purr of a cat, and is as silent as a mouse!Service: Exhaust

My car was experiencing some loss of power and eventually wouldn't start. My usual mechanic couldn't figure out what the heck was going on. He recommended this shop. First of all they came to my house to tow it to the shop. Yhen they were able to correctly diagnose the issue without ordering any new parts! Very fair and honest in my opinion. The work took a few more days than I would have liked but my car is running beautifully and that's all that matters. I will not take my car for any work ANYWHERE ELSE! I'm an extremely satisfied customer. Will recommend to friends and family.UPDATE: 2/16/22My car had a starter issue. Had to have my car towed over there on Monday in the late afternoon. Their mechanics were able to diagnose and repair my car by Wednesday. Extremely happy with quick turnaround. Very professional and friendly. I find their pricing to be fair. More importantly I find their work to be great.

I went in for a routine diagnosis of a used car that I purchased. Off the bat the staff in this place was very rude and unprofessional. They seemed bothered that I was giving them my business. To make matters worst once I received my car I noticed it was covered in salt and dirt. My car was clean when I gave it to them which leads me to believe they went on a joy ride with my vehicle. If you care about your car I would not go to these guys they did the bare minimum if even that. Unprofessional and bad communication.

The worst place. They will charge you insane amounts for towing and quote chapter 66 and what's funny is that they don't even know what they are talking about in chapter 66.The owner was using the F word when I quoted him about his violations of chapter 66. Stop going to this place. A ripoff.

Towed my car to the location I requested. Stephen was amazing, funny and caring. My car is a lowered mustang, it practically scrapes the ground as i drive, had a failed ball joint and he got it on the flat bed and off with no damage. Cannot be thankful enough for the work provided.

The driver I delt with was awesome. Thank you Jose. I called double n when triple A gave me no time frame to pick up my vehicle. I spoke with the manager at double n that night. The next day, I requested their assistance through triple A. They showed up when they were supposed to. Their tow truck was of fine quality. I am very happy with Jose and double n's performance. Thank you gentlemen.

DO NOT LET DOUBLE N AUTO TOW YOUR CAR!!!!DO NOT LET DOUBLE N AUTO REPAIR YOUR CAR!!!They were contacted through my insurance company when my car was in an accident & towed my car to the auto body shop of my choice. When they towed my car, the tow truck driver hooked my car up to the tow truck using the chains with hooks at then end of them. He placed the hooks not on the frame of my car but hooked them onto my tie rod on my passenger side tie rod underneath the car when hoisting my car onto the tow truck bed. Mostly likely unknowingly. Causing my passenger side tie rod to be bent.So as would anyone, I called the company to inform them that one of their drivers had damaged my vehicle during its transportation to the body shop. At first the receptionist denied my claim that they had bent it & after much arguing with her, I demanded to speak to the owner, which then he agreed to take a look & fix my car at no charge to me. So the next day I dropped my car off so they could replace the tie rod with a new one & to have them do an alignment on my car because the bent tie rod had thrown my wheels out of alignment.So I picked my car up that afternoon & checked the car to make sure everything was done correctly & everything checked out for the moment until I left the repair shop in my car. After which I noticed that as I drove my car it was still pulling to one side of the road as I drove. I then took it to my mechanic (which I have been taking my car to for over 5 years & is very honest & has done a lot of small repairs at little to no charge to me) to have the work looked over. After which he had told me that "DOUBLE N" had clearly lied to me about preforming the alignment on my car because it was still way off alignment wise. So at that time I had enough of being played games with so I went back down to DOUBLE N AUTO to speak to the owner in person.When I got back to DOUBLE N Auto I went into the office & asked to speak to the owner. So I explain to him the situation, after which he continues to tell me that he had his mechanics do the alignment & that my car was perfectly aligned. So I called him out on his lies telling him I brought it to my own mechanic & had their work checked over & that I knew he was lying straight to my face. He then began to belittle me by telling me that I had "no idea what an alignment is" as if I am stupid & don't know that a wheel alignment is part of standard automobile maintenance that consists of adjusting the angles of the wheels so that they are set to the car maker's specification. The purpose of these adjustments is to reduce tire wear, and to ensure that vehicle travel is straight and true & that he wouldn't do anything unless I had the print out from my mechanic showing that it still was unaligned.Not only that but the tie rod he installed was of poor quality & I am just replacing it now after about a year because it doesn't fit properly & is causing my steering to vibrate severely.I honestly wish I this review would allow me to rate DOUBLE N AUTO with 0 stars because their work & customer service are absolute garbage. Just like their owner!

They had my car in the shop for 10 days stated they repaired a computer module charged me $1095 to fix explained that it took so long because he had to ensure he was fixing the correct thing. I left the shop I didn't even make it a half a block down the road and the same problem I was having prior to bringing it in happened again, I had them come get the car they brought it back to the shop had the windows open in the pouring rain while trying to diagnose it. I removed my car from the premises in fear of more damage from the rain, they refused to refund my money stated it was a different problem. The owner became irate with me cursing and screaming like a lunatic and demanding I leave his property. I took the car to another shop were they had to replace the same computer module that was stated to already have been replaced,and it only took them 3 days to do so. I contacted the merchant again to refund my money, I offered to give them the part they claimed they replaced back but he still refused he demanded I leave and that he was calling the cops

I had the worst experience with these people TWICE. Their costumer service has to be the worst I've experienced. I encountered them through AAA where they had to fix my flat, and broke my side mirror. I was assured they would fix it, however when I called for them to do that, I was called a liar, yelled at, talked down at and hung up on. Completely unprofessional. A few weeks later I needed my car towed and AAA told me they were the only ones available, despite telling them I would prefer not to use them. They came to my house, called once, left and then proceeded to tell me in the same unprofessional attitude. I explained to them I was on the phone with AAA that's why I missed their call. Eventually came back 7 hours later. I don't mind working with unprofessional people, this is nyc after all, but their rudeness has been unmatched. Stay away from this business.

Horrendous experience. Worst mechanic, customer service, car servicing. Owner is fowl-mouthed and aggressive. My story is very long so I'll sum it up in a brief-ish summary. They installed a new battery when it didn't have to be replaced. Then it still died on me. Had it towed back. Owner said a simple wire was loose. They misinformed me about my check engine light, saying that the battery dying made my computer all wonky and that it will stay on regardless of the repairs. Owner yelled at me for "trespassing" while I peaked into the garage just to speak to him bc I was there for way longer than expected and he knew I had to get back home to get kids off the bus. Woman I spoke to on the phone was VERY rude and then when he I brought it up with the owner, he said, "that's my wife you were talking to miss" and got in my face to instigate. Started a confrontation with me while I had my little girl there (she's four), right in front of her. I could go on and on. I've never been made to feel like they all made me feel. He threatened to have me arrested if I didn't apologize for getting loud with him, meanwhile he took me outside to "discuss"the matters and insisted on yelling at me and reaming me out. I've never experienced anything like this place. Waiting area is a dirty hallway just up a narrow, steep set of stairs, with workers passing by constantly, lady on the phone, 2 seats to sit in. All in all, awful service, awful price especially for a battery thatdidn't need to be replaced in the first place! I'm a calm, sweet, non-confrontational person yet this guy just pushed and pushed my buttons, purposely to get a rise out of me, and then demanded an apology from me! I'm still waiting for mine!!!

I Just got word from the other mechanicshop I got my car towed to he said thatWhile Double N towed the car to their shopThey must have hit a very big pot hole andAs a result the bearing needs to be changedI am starting legal action against them. IfYou have had a similar situation and wantthem to be held accountable PleaseSTAY AWAY from these crooks

Worst company ever would never call or go to them, very unprofessional. Don t care one bit about there customers. My car was stuck in the middle of a main road for 2 hours before they finally arrived. He picked my car up on his wheel lift truck and then ended up dropping it down lying saying he needed a dolley to tow it literally not even a half a mile down the road. Dropped my car back down in the middle of the road and I had to wait another 2 and a half 3 hours for another tow. WHILE IN THE MIDDLE OF A MAIN ROAD!!! Horrible company do not use them. I ended up calling CoverAll transportation and the guy was in bed and came all the way from his house within 30 minutes to tow it . If I could give double n less stars I would.

I can t believe these guys I got a tow from these guys last night they done damage to my truck the driver was extremely rude and making laugh and jokes witch I didn t apeciate first told it would be 300 and then charged double when got there maybe that s why these guys are double n automotive would definitely not recommend any body using this company

My car broke down and Double N came out to tow my car in and fix it. They did an awesome job and were very fair and honest. It was nice to have someone take care of me like that, would recommend to anyone in need. Thanks to all the boys at the shop.

They tried to change my oil but said they didn t know the correct procedure for my type of truck which was fine. Then said they said wouldn t take it off the lift and give me my truck back until I paid an $80 fee.I d beware using them.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Well, I cant say that they ever fixed my car/truck because I never went there but I will tell you that I got stuck on Nicolls Road tonight. I called AAA and they sent Double N auto. Noel who was very professional and nice towed my truck to my house. The wheel was about to fall off because the lug nuts were all loose. I wanted it towed to my house. I placed the call to AAA at 6:20 and by 6:40 the tow truck found me on Nicolls Road. I think that was great service.

I had a flat tire. Noel was the first service man who came to help me, my car didn't have a spare so he helped fill it. Unfortunately, the leak was more substantial and I had to be towed. They were super nice and helpful and got me going in 1/2 hour.

Total RIP off and shady service. My Infiniti wouldnt start for some reason, and had to have car towed to Double N Auto. The person working there (might have been owner or mgr) proceeded to tell me he put techron in and billed me for $125.00. The techron cost $6.99 at any auto store. Never trust a mechanic unless you been dealt with them in the past. Most are dishonest.

My son, a Stony Brook graduate student, got into a minor accident in the snow in our Honda CR-V, and AAA towed the car to Double N. They did a good job on the repairs with Honda parts. Since I had other work to be done on the car at my dealer a few days later and had not used Double N before, I asked them to have a look at the repairs. They confirmed that the parts were as expected and the repairs were done correctly.

Run from this thief! I had my car towed there for an alternator, and he try to rip me off and charge me double then everybody else wanted. This is supposed to be the AAA gas station and they are using that Monica to rip people off! When I told him no and I had to get my car out of there he charged me $80 diagnostic fee and $70 and storage fees even though they will close on the weekend. If possible I would give this thief zero Stars

The worst shop on the island. Had my truck for months and did nothing that they said they were going to do. Broke more things than they fixed. Towed my truck wrong, made the hub explode. Hit something on the passenger side of the truck and pinched it so it s hard to open. Sold things on the bill that I did before the shop got the truck and tried telling me they did it.

Double N Auto is the worst. Unprofessional and rude most of all unprofessional!!!!!! I am a pregnant woman sitting in a hot car cuz my car stopped with me I called them they said they are 5 minutes away and then they said 20 after that they stopped answering my calls hung up on me they never showed up, I am writing this review as I am sitting in my car while pregnant since 2:00 PM and now its 6:48 pm and they still didn't show up.

Absolutely never take your car here!! When the tranny started to go in my car I purchased a used tranny from a junkyard and brought it to my mechanic to have it swapped out, turned out the tranny was n/g and the junkyard brought out another one which turned out to be missing pieces. I called double n on a recommendation from a friend and they went and picked up my truck and the 2 trannys from my mechanic and quoted me "X" to do a tranny rebuild. When I went to pick up the truck they charged me "Y" and seemed to have lost the 2 trannys that I needed to return to get my money back. I drove the vehicle from the shop to my house approx 6 miles. When I turned it off I opened the garage door and when I turned around to close it I notice antifreeze pouring out from underneath and the tranny was also leaking. I immediately called these guys and they came and towed it from my driveway. FF a few days and they told me that the radiator was defective and that was the problem and it was a coincidence that it blew when I left their shop and the tranny wasnt leaking it was just some runoff. They also told me that they overcharged me for the tranny so they would replace the radiator for free. I got the truck back a few days later, drove it to my shop and parked it inside. Looked underneath and noticed that the tranny was still leaking and it was leaking coolant. I called again and they told me to bring it back whenever I got a chance. 2 days later the coolant leak was so bad that it couldn't be driven. I called and they picked it up again. FF a few days, now they say that the thermostat was bad and thats why the radiator blew and the rad was under warrenty but they needed a new stat and housing that they cracked when they removed it. (In the midst of all of this my friend who recommended this place takes his truck in there to replace a water pump. He picks it up and gets it home and guess what...puddle of coolant in his driveway). Waited for truck to be ready and when it finally was I went to pick it up and was told that the tranny is still leaking and I would need to bring it back yet again. Got it back to the shop and guess what still leaking coolant. Brought it in a week or so later and 3 weeks later they finally said it was leak free but they couldn't get it started and I would need to pay for new plugs and wires and that it was just another coincidence that this happened at their shop. I went to p/u and Brian the guy who swears that everything is someone elses fault and he personally checks everything told me that he picked the truck up from the tranny shop himself and drove it back and there are no leaks and the tranny shop screwed everything up and they didnt even put the doghouse back on so he had to do it himself....Drove away and quickly realized that the doghouse was not attached as the cold air and engine fumes were pouring in the cab. Back at the shop, no tranny leak but guess what, still leaking coolant!! The leak was from the thermostat housing that they charged me to replace. I wound up removing it and replacing the gasket myself and now it is leak free over $3,000 later and a lot of wasted time energy and being scammed by a bunch of total amateurs. To be fair from what I hear the owner is a expert mechanic and does spectacular work but he supposedly only comes by the shop once every 3 or 4 months. While all of this was going on another friend of mine brought a truck in there to get inspected and they told him they couldn't do it because it needed ball joints so he took it to another shop and they passed it no problem and when the inquired about the ball joints he was told there was absolutely nothing wrong with them and he wouldn't need to do ball joints for another 100,000 miles! Do yourself and your vehicle a favor and stay far away from this place.

Stay away from these CROOKS...towed my truck from a AAA call to their shop. They destroyed a $300 computer chip key into pieces and wont take responsibility for it. They claim the key was "corroded" and didn't work. Would I have given them a key that was in pieces? These idiots hid the key that they broke in a dash compartment, said nothing and deny they broke it.I told this genius owner "Neil" that I would write an honest review of his shop on FB, this site, AAA and BBB..he told me to "go F*** yourself" and said he would sue ME for liable then hung up on me.An underhanded owner and liar.Next calls are to AAA and BBB to report them.In the area use Dee Pat Automotive on Middle Country Road in Selden...reliable, HONEST and fair.

One of the best shops in Suffolk county. Had issue with my truck and Neil figured out the issue same day and I had my truck back the next day. Fair priced and honest work.
