Absolutely AMAZING customer service! They took excellent care of my 19 year old college student when she was running on a flat! They were so kind to her and did everything to hook her up and have her driving again within minutes! Sent them donuts as a thank you! Awesome awesome awesome!!!!

Definately recommend thia shop to women. The staff there did an assessment of my brakes, replaced the pads, and didn't try to oversell me on repairs or replacements I didn't need. They treated me with respect and my car was finished in a reasonable amount of time. As a woman, I really appreciate it when a repair shop doesn't try to talk me into unnecessary services. I knew the pads needed to be replaced, but another private shop had tried to scare me into replacement of rotors and calipers, but the car simply doesn't need them immediately, the mileage is low to need a complete brake job and I could see the rotors myself and they didn't have the damage and wear the private shop claimed. I saw this shop's staff treat other women the same way while I waited, very respectful and didn't assume the women didn't know anything about cars or their own cars. One older lady came in, concerned about the snow and slush rubbing against the wheels.on her car, just wanting to be safe in winter weather, they offered to hose down the buildup at no charge and sad to bring it back later that day if she was still concerned. Will be recommending this location to my friends!

Monroe in Canton New york is nothing but a scamming garage. We had brand new brakes and rotors put on it before we came there for an inspection and they said we needed new brakes all the way around. They told us we couldn't get a inspection from them til we got new brakes because it was my girlfriend that brought the car in. Then I brought it to a garage and it was inspected the next day. Place is a joke and I really hope they get shut down some day.

GIGANTIC WASTE OF TIME!Made an appointment for 11am to have oil change, tire rotation, both fuel filters changed, front brakes, and rear brakes done. All the parts were in the truck. I just needed the work done. I was told it would be done in " a couple few hours". I called at around 3:00pm. No answer. Called at 3:45pm no answer. So, I drove to the shop. I arrived at 4:10pm to find the truck had not been moved. The mechanic ensured me that if I came back at 5pm it would be complete. I can only imagine the quality of work that would have been done had I trusted this work to be completed in 30 minutes. I asked for the key and left.NEVER AGAIN WILL YOU ALMOST HAVE MY BUISNESS.

If there was a way to give 0 stars I would.Dropped my car off for an inspection, they told me they would call me when it s ready for pickup. Car was on the lift at 3:45. 5:00 came around and no one called, I tried to call and they had their phones shut off. They closed at 5:00 and my car was still sitting on the lift. I went there and had to stand outside knocking for 20 minutes because no one would answer the door. They all hid. Finally someone answered the door, was extremely rude. I asked for my car back. They told me they were not going to call me until they fixed everything that was wrong with it. So I took it and left.Extremely poor customer service and my vehicle will never go back there for anything.

Thought it was awesome they fit me in to change my headlight bulb on short notice for a ticket. Then discovered they never actually changed the bulb. I also supplied the bulb myself.

8/07/21- Was sold four Kelly Tires by Monroe Muffler (Shop 385, Canton, NY), though we initially only needed one tire replaced due to a puncture, we trusted Monroe that they were being honest in their assessment of all four tires "being bald." Upon purchase, the manager included Road Hazard Coverage without our consent on each tire ( $99.20). We figured that might be helpful after we discovered their policy of "fixing or replacing the tire." In looking back at the sales receipt the manager had "coincidentally" listed the wrong DOT numbers of our tires (first red flag). December of that same year, we have another nail in one of our 4 month old tires. I assumed that under the Road Hazard guarantee that Monroe will just replace the tire for us. Wrong. We find out much later that the shop neither replaces nor patches the tire, they put a half-hazard plug in the tire. How do we find this out you ask? While on vacation last week ( 6/11/22) we have to get a rear tire replaced due to a flat tire which coincidently was the same one was plugged by Monroe. We stop into a garage named Tire Choice Auto Service( Shop #1063) where, after a couple hours they inform us that we'll need two new tires because they are "bald" (second red flag)---as we had our car inspected a week prior by our Honda dealership and were issued a report with no concerns (I have paperwork to verify this). After purchasing two new tires, we make it 1/2 mile down the road before all our sensors are blinking on the dash (pictures to verify), we return and I can visibly see that Tire Choice had put the wrong size tires on. Until I pointed this out to them, they held to the position that the new tread might be setting the sensors off (third red flag). Here's the kicker, after looking at all our receipts, we discovered, 'Tire Choice' is owned by Monroe! So, after six new tires and over $1000 within two years, I myself am growing "bald" by the lack of honesty and regard for safety of their customers. The level of negligence is only riveted by their lack of transparency. Do not waste your time with this specific shop and company.

Went in to have snow tires mounted and put on my car. I get ny car back leave the shop. Get it up to 45 to 50mph nothing but shake in the wheel in the front. Obviously my tires were not balanced right. Cuttently seeking another shop to repair there mistake

Went in for an oil change for the first time. Left and waited for a call saying the vehicle was ready. Waited 4 hours, no call. Called and they said it was ready. Waited another 30 minutes at the counter for someone to ring me out. In that time nobody that works there came to check if anyone was waiting at the counter. When someone finally came in they threw the keys towards me on the counter and mumbled the total under their breath. Never said hello or greeted me and I've never paid so much for a simple oil change in my life. Won't be going back.

I went to Monroe Muffler to have brake pads all round. I was told I also needed back rotors. The estimate for brake pads was 500.00 plus. The estimate for pads and rotors was 800.00 plus. Needless to say I didn't fall for it. I called another garage, not Monroe Muffler, and was quoted 241.00 for brake pads and another 100.00 for rotors. Beware and shop around before choosing Monroe Muffler. First time at Monroe Muffler and the last! I don't like being ripped off.

Always courteous, they get me in super quick for inspection. Easily in and out quickly and its got shopping all around so you can duck out and get groceries while you're waiting!

Service is fast and friendly. They don't try to sell unnecessary services or products. Their prices are reasonable. AND, when I was there and a person came in to inquire about a service that Monro doesn't provide - the person at the desk actually looked up a place for the person to go! That's how all businesses should run. Highly recommend.

Their service was very quick and thorough. I had an oil change, tuneup, brake job and overall check over on my Accord. They called me after they checked out my car and gave me a complete run down on what the car needed and the price for each item prior to doing the work. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They know what they are doing!

Get a quote before you get ANYTHING done. Just paid 135 for an oil change. I have also been quoted double for other work and smartly shopped around. Now that I'm sure I'm not going back to the Canton location I feel comfortable writing an honest review. Oil changes used to be the only safe thing and that's apparently gone.

Husband went in, having no idea what the cost is normally, and got overcharged almost triple. The parts were double what they normally are, and the labor was incredibly expensive compared to some smaller and larger shops all over. Shop around, get a quote and look up the cost of parts yourselves. Lost basically both our paychecks to a simple fix.

Years ago I had a poor experience with a Monro Muffler out of the area, and it made me wary of returning. Upon moving to the North Country, for various reasons, I decided to try both the Canton and Potsdam shops. I have been very happy with the services received, and I feel MM has redeemed itself. In particular this week i stopped by Canton for some help in unscrewing rusted license plate bolts, and Rich speedily, cheerfully, and competently fixed the issue without charging me a dime. I felt they have gone above the call of duty multiple times and I am grateful.

I trust Monroe Auto Service and have been using them for years. It doesn't matter which one you go to either. They are honest and reliable. They have put my car on the lift and checked it out when I was having an issue without an appointment. They didn't even charge me as it was something minor. I recently had them change out tires and told them to change the oil if it needed it, they informed me I had another 2000 miles before it needed a change. They don't do unnecessary work just to make a buck.

I had an issue with something dragging under my car as I was traveling to Watertown, I pulled in on a Sunday morning and asked the employee if they could look at it. I was able to get it on a hoist and had my problem looked at and got it resolved in less than 15 minutes and was back on my trip. Thanks to all the guys their who work so hard.

Monroe Muffler in Canton is the only place I will go for oil changes and issues. They have the best customer service around, they have always gone above and beyond for me. The manager Jay is the only person I trust 100% with what my car needs. He is always polite and takes care of anything I need. If you are looking for a place that is trustworthy to bring your vehicle, look no further Monroe in Canton is the only place to use.

I've taken two different vehicles in for various work (oil changes, inspection, one minor repair, one major repair) over the past year. Service has always been quick and fair. Mechanics take the time to listen customer about the issue and answer questions. Possibly a little pricier than some other shops for the major repair I had done, but the job was also done same day.
