I was skeptical to book here because of the poor reviews. I even had a 90 minute drive (each way) to contemplate. I am so glad I trusted my gut. It was a terrific experience. Thank you from a woman from Utah who is here in western New York for graduate school, you made my day! My appointment was at 12:30 pm and they said the wait would be an hour to an hour and half. The tires I had ordered online were waiting and ready to go. I received a call at about 1:40 pm saying that they were done with the job. All of the staff were great to answer my questions, to explain things the way I could understand, and were so helpful. Also, they were genuinely respectful and kind. Way to go Costco!

So when people are annoyed then tend to leave over the top bad reviews. I am going to give an accurate review:I gave them two stars because the work was done correctly. The amount of time it took is the reason for the missing stars. I had a 12 o clock appointment, arrived a bit early and waited in line for genuinely 20 minutes as they only had one person working the desk. He continuously answered the phone and stopped what he was doing every time it rang. After finally dropping the car off they told me it would be done in an hourI shopped around the store waited a bit then went to check on my car after an hour and a half. They assured me that they would be bringing it in soon What?I had an appointment tent for noon and you say nothing about the fact that you re running 2 hours behind. Needless to say I wasted an entire day and my refrigerated/frozen food went bad while waiting.Do yourself a favor and just go to like mieneke or something, they did mine in no time last time I swapped tires. You don t even save that much money here anyways.

Terrible experience, the workers are clearly understaffed and doing their absolute best. But I waited 2+ hours for my tires to be put on (for an appointment I made weeks ago). On top of that there is no place to really be while you wait aside for an uncomfortable food court

Very kind staff but either very short staffed or just extremely disorganized. They couldn t tell where the tires we ordered were and had to wait 30 mins for them to find them and then can t tell me if the other ones I ordered are there or not.

Coscto is great but the tire center is way under staffed and you have to be ready to wait. Waited on the phone for 30 mins, waited in line for 30 mins...

Costco in general is great, but the tire center is horrible. Eric working at the tire service counter, literally did not acknowledge our presence while we waited over 15 minutes to be greeted. He walked back and forth looking every which way but at the customers standing in front of him. I understand it's busy, but a, "Hi there! I will be with you as soon as I can!" goes a long way. A Black gentleman (I could not see his name tag) with a Caribbean accent stopped, acknowledged us, then assisted us after Eric ignored us the entire time. It took over 3 hours for a tire swap with an appointment. Joseph, the manager, was very kind and apologetic, which we appreciated given the circumstances. There need to be some changes, so that customers with appointments aren't waiting for hours. Perhaps walk-ins should be cut off at a certain time or after a certain number of cars.

Worst customer service at the tire center, which is surprisingly given their great customer service elsewhere in the store. Last time when doing a tire swap they scratched one of my rims. I had pictures before and after but they refused to believe. This time they scheduled an appointment but failed to tell me that for a second swap I need to have tires purchased by Costco. When I got there, they said I should ve known (and that it was in fine prints on the invoice they gave me last time) As the seller they are responsible to tell the customer when they schedule an appointment. Some people in their management have a hard time speaking English (which definitely isn t a problem) but they refuse to listen to customers. So buyers beware, if anything goes wrong, they are not going to help.

Generally i used to love Costco but Costco here in Syracuse is worst. Very bad service. Tire department is a nightmare. When we had an appointment at 9 am, we were done after 11 am for tire replacement. But it was flat as soon as we got home. We had to call someone to put a spare tire. We called Costco and scheduled next day appointment (today). Our appointment was at 6 pm, and it is 7:22 and they still have not started working on our car.NEVER EVER get your snow tires/regular tires from Costco. All in all, they have terrible quality. But they do have good pizza and thats the only good part. Not even shopping is a good experience. There grocery is super expensive.

I've had ok experiences here in the past, but my recent visits have been abysmal and absurdly long. 2+ hour for a tire swap? Like, this is supposed to be what you're good at. Tire stuff right? I had a time a year or two ago where they told me they couldn't get a lug nut off so they told me to go somewhere else to get it off. Say what? You're a tire place and you can't get a lug nut off? Today was the last straw. I can't sit here waiting for 2.5 hours for my tires to get swapped. I was also told that they didn't have enough people to manage both walk ins and appointments. Say what? What does having an appointment mean if I'm just going to be weaved in with all the other people that walked in and couldn't plan ahead by making an appointment? This place is ridiculous. Don't go here.

When you are told about an hour maybe a little over for a service that is what you expect. It took them over 2 and half hours to install 4 tires. Absolutely ridiculous. I can't say I'd recommend getting service there. Generally love costco but clearly their tire center needs better management

This place makes me so mad because I love Costco so much (only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1) and I truly expect more from them. They do not listen to you and from personal experience will incorrectly install bad tires on your car. They put my all seasons back on earlier this year, I drove them for a week before one of the stem valves started to leak and eventually CAME COMPLETELY OFF WHICH CAUSED MY TIRE TO HAVE NO ABILITY TO HOLD AIR. Thank God I wasn't driving when this happened. When I returned to Costco they refused to put my tire back on saying the tread was too worn down and would not answer my inquiries regarding how they were able to put the same tires on the week before and not mention the low tread? Obviously they didn't check my tires on the initial install.Now I'm back for probably the last time. I booked an appointment to change to winter tires and was told it would be an hour. 2 hours later and I'm still waiting. So absolutely dissapointed in Costco. Corporate needs to get involved with this operation because it is not up to Costco standards, not even close.Also changed the stars to 1 because they honestly deserve 0

Did $1600 in damage to my car.Over torqued and cross threaded bolts resulting in replacing full hub.Told me to get it fixed and they d pay for it.Then when confronted they wouldn t pay said would only give me $50-100.Manager finally filed a claim for me with corporate then tried to deny charges.Finally got $1400 back from claim filed.Also 3 times in a row swapping seasonal tires they have broken my TPMS sensor.I will never return to any Costco tire center after this.

To busy there. Counter often unmanned and a phone call requires patience. Have purchased from them in the past. Good prices and excellent balance of tires but don't want to make 3, 20 mile round trips to buy tires. If I am going to spend $1000.00 I would like the sales people to act like they appreciate it.

I have purchased a couple sets of tires from them and had various services performed. They're prompt and easy to get an appointment with, not to mention the services are a great price. The only issue I ever had (Didn't re-program my TPMS), they resolved without issue. Will be back!Edit: As of mid September they have managed to lose the center caps on my rims... Worse yet they've caused extensive damage to the gel coat in numerous spots on my aluminum rims by either dropping or striking them, exposing the metal beneath. If they correct this, I'll update once more. As of now, I'm not at all pleased with them (Or the damage to my $700 rims which are now corroding).

Customer service is horrible. So Costco has an online system that you order tires through and schedule your appointment based on the tires you just ordered. I scheduled 8 days from purchase, I got an appointment reminder last night and today they just didn't have my have tires.I now need to wait another week to get tires put on all while having a spare tire on my car. Maybe a email or call to tell me my tires will not be arriving by the appointment date. Don't bother calling the 1800 number, they offered me a $20 voucher.

Had a good experience their. Came to my appointment and they had my car ready within a hour which is very reasonable. I m not sure what the other reviews are about!

Horrible experience - over an hour and twenty minutes for a tire to be repaired, and the dept. manager had an attitude. Store manager apologized, and refunded the couple bucks it cost. Very unprofessional and uncalled for overall. Will not return to the tire center, and we are not renewing our store membership when it is due.

They communicate very little with customer and have no system to handle multiple costumers at once. We waited in line for 30 minutes to check out, it took about 10 minutes per customer.
