My daughter had a problem with a vehicle while at college. Most shops said they could not even look at it for 1-2 weeks. While Sweeney's could not schedule a repair for 1-2 weeks, they were willing to poke their head under the hood that same day and let her know if the vehicle was drivable. I have done the repair that was needed myself in the past. Their estimate was fair. Once the repair was done, the final cost came in lower than the estimate. Great people. And honest. I would love to have a garage like them in my area!

I started going to Sweeney's when I was a freshman at UB as a recommendation from a professor. As a younger female, I have had my fair share of negative experiences at the mechanic. The team at Sweeney's is efficient, honest, thoroughly explain pricing and options and never try to sell me anything un-necessarily. Phil is always honest with me about what I need to get done to stay safe driving in the winter. I have been bringing my car here for 4 years now and would never go anywhere else in Buffalo.

I was there on Wednesday and needed a new battery and front sway bar link. First time here, it was a great experience and the staff were friendly and the waiting area was very clean. They have a new customer! Thank you guys!

Just recently had a laundry list of car services done here. Wiper replacement, NYS inspection, oil change, and they checked up on a reoccurring AC/Heating issue from another shop. Each issue was handled well, and they communicated options with my best interest in mind. The cost was very respectable, and I plan on returning whenever I need auto services going forward. My first visit to Sweeney's was for some general maintenance and to check out a suspension clunk on my mom's car. They fit us in on short notice, found the issue quickly and worked with me on options for the repair that would save money. I could not have been more impressed with how helpful and personable they were, and it's no wonder they have so many five-star reviews. My mother still takes her car there for checkups and repairs, and I feel great knowing that she has the honest and dependable team at Sweeney's helping her out. First rate service all around. Seeing reviews and always trying to go to Sweeney's first before others in the area, I was disappointed that they wouldn't be able to get us in for about a week for repair. After expressing this, Rhett was able to squeeze us in the very next day and had us in and out in the SAME DAY at an incredibly reasonable price. We continue to bring our vehicles to Sweeney's and will do so for MANY years for many levels of service! Phil and his staff are professional and friendly while the quality of their work CONTINUES to be FIRST RATE! The staff at Sweeney's are extremely honest, reliable, dependable, knowledgeable in keeping up-to-date with the ever changing world of automobile maintenance and repair. If there has ever been a problem where it requires another area of expertise (e.g. body work, etc.) the staff at Sweeney's has ALWAYS guided us to service providers who have the same level of professionalism and integrity as those at Sweeney's! I decided write this long review because I chose this place based on 5 stars reviews and no bad experience. So I thought that may be helpful for someone.My experience with Sweeney' Garage was great at the beginning. They are very knowledgeable and respectful. BUT, after 2 weeks waiting for the appointment scheduled for NY inspection, they checked the car and gave me an estimation for $935.77 for 2 rear breaks(calipper, rotor and pad), $315.01 for passenger side front tie rod and $90 for bulbs!!!! They said only breaks and bulbs is needed for inspection. I said no thank you I don't have the money right now, I will take the car. They called me half an hour later saying we called several places and find you a better deal on the breaks!!! We can do it for $694 just because you are a student and we understand your situation!! But this time they said tie rod is necessary for inspection. So I couldn't skip it. $200 discount in one breath was unbelievable. So I accepted. They provided me a loaner car and send me home just to make sure I will leave the car there. Checking the prices online, I just thought something is not right. I went and get the car back. Do not mention how patient and respectful they were! I took the car to another mechanic, no waiting for the appointment, same day repair. changed the breaks for $350, tie rod for $120 (however is was not necessary for inspection), and lamp for free!!!! Well Thank you Sweeney's Garage I learned my lesson!!! never judge a book by its cover. Not everyone who act respectful does really mean it!!! They might be good at job but they are not honest with the price. 2 stars just because you did diagnosed the problem correctly!!!!

My experience with Sweeney's has been nothing but positive. A friend recommended them to me and I can see why! They have already gone out of their way to diagnose and repair a car problem that needed immediate attention. Very good service.

I have been taking my car to Sweeney's for almost 20 years for regular maintenance. I currently have a 2004 Toyota that they have been maintaining and it has never left me stranded in need of emergency repairs. Phil and Ann are pleasant to deal with and sensitive to their customers time schedule and will do what they can to accommodate your appointment with them. They hire top notch and very knowledgeable mechanics, and you can drive away feeling confident that the work they have done will keep your car safe to drive you and your loved ones They are very reasonable and honest with their pricing and will always advise you of any needed repairs and obtain your prior approval. I rarely write reviews, but I was compelled to write one for Sweeney's Garage because of their excellent work and honesty. I went to Sweeney's a couple weeks ago for a brake job and was informed my front two tires needed replacement. I had replaced all four tires the previous year before I found Sweeney's Garage and told them so. Phil, the owner, said he would investigate further and get back to me. He discovered the wrong tires were mounted on my SUV. He went above and beyond by providing me with the documentation and picture I needed as proof to address it with the business I had bought them from. As a result I was given four brand new tires, at no expense to me, because of Sweeney's quality of work and integrity. Unbelievably, I had just taken my SUV to a different garage to have an inspection and they passed it without question. (I had recently moved and live 35 miles away from Sweeney's garage now.) I am so thankful I decided to "go out of my way" and drive the extra miles to have Sweeney's Garage work on my brakes. Their knowledge, integrity and honesty was worth my trip. I will never trust anyone else. I cannot recommend a business more highly.Services: Tire rotations, Brakes

Cannot say enough good things about Sweeney s garage. My coworker recommended them when the hood of my car wouldn t stay down. I filled out the contact form on the website and they called within the hour. It was close to their lunch hour but he told me to come in anyway. It turned out to need just a bit of oil so the extremely kind gentleman that helped me didn t charge me and sent me on my way. They ve earned a customer for life. I felt so taken care of and that I was working with truly genuine, honest people. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

It's so hard to find a mechanic that is both honest anddoes great work. Sweeney's performs both flawlessly.Excellent service, incredibly friendly staff, and in myopinion the hands down best mechanic in Buffalo.Choose Sweeney's every time.

We have been here twice for our vehicles. Most recently yesterday. Phil and Ann are great at customer service and communicate the details of your repair and its associated costs. They are very up front and honest. Customers do not get the feeling that they will be cheated or that work will be performed without their knowledge. The mechanics are competent and knowledgable. Overall, two fantastic experiences. Fair prices, no headaches. Definitely recommend Sweeney's. Look around. I only found one negative review online (out of 700!) before deciding to bring my vehicles here, and it seems like that person was mistaken.

I have been leaking engine coolant, and I was looking for a good mechanic to diagnose the issue. I checked reviews on Google and saw that Sweeney s had pretty good reviews. I called and spoke to a real gentleman by the name of Phil, who told me that issue should still be covered by my powertrain warranty, and directed me to West Herr Ford. I had been stressing out about how I could save up the money to get it repaired, and now I have an appointment with Wear Herr next week and it will probably be covered by my warranty. Phil didn t have to tell me it should still be under warranty, he could have just taken my money. Instead he did the honest thing. One of the biggest things people are looking for when they re looking for a mechanic is honesty. It s clear that these people are honest, and if I ever have an issue that is not covered by warranty and I m New York, Sweeney s is the only place I m bringing it!

Hands down best all around experience with a garage I've had. It starts with how well they treat you from the moment you call, to taking the time to explain everything and listen to your concerns. I don't worry at all about unnecessary work. They have a clean and comfortable waiting area and are very accommodating to return your car after hours too. After an unhappy experience with a different mechanic, I drove my car right off of his lot and went straight to Sweeney's. It's the only place to go!

I started going to this garage when I moved to Buffalo based on reviews that I read, and there's a reason that Sweeney's is so highly rated. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The service is quick, convenient, and reliable. I've needed new parts and tires for my car, and Phil and Anne have gone out of their way to find the best quality for my needs at a good price. Every time they've given me a quote, the service has either been at or below the quote. They don't try to sell you extra things that you don't need, in fact they usually try to save you money. Someone at Sweeney's has always checked up on my car after a visit to make sure everything is working out. And if you have to wait on your car, the coffee and conversations are good.

I've gotten my inspection done here and just recently had my serpentine belt replaced. I called made an appointment and then brought it in the following week. Repairs were fairly priced and they were done very quickly and honestly. Will continue to go here for any other needs I may need for my car, Phil and his staff do a great job and treat customers with absolute respect and decency. If you need a reliable and honest mechanic, go here.

I have been going to Sweeney's for over 10 years for not only my personal vehicle, but for the fleet that I run. They are dependable, honest, friendly, and always ready to do whatever it takes to get you your vehicle back as quick as possible. My brother is a mechanic and does many of my repairs, but lives in Wheatfield. If I don't have time to bring it to him, I am at Sweeney's. I know that they will not only tell me what is wrong with my vehicles, but why, and how to avoid it in the future if possible. They are hands down one of the best vendors that I interact with, period.

Sweeney's prices are fair. They are honest and do the needed work but don't try to sell you on additional repairs. I appreciate them letting me know what future maintenance will keep my care running efficiently and the costs so I can budget.My 80 year old mother trusted Sweeney's.. Great people to work with.

Great local shop, highly recommend. Prices are reasonable and competitive with large national change (about ~$40 for a synthetic oil change). Same day turnaround with convenient drop-off the night before or morning of your appt.

The BEST experience I could have hoped for! Very fair prices, fast service, and wonderful staff! My experience at Sweeney's Garage was absolutely delightful.
