This place was amazing. They looked at my car within 30 mins, ordered the part, and had the car ready within 24 hours. The guys were very nice and friendly and charged a very fair price compared to a lot of other shops I ve been to. Highly recommend.

Recently I went to this guy, suggested by my friend and he did a great job on getting the part and replacing it for a cheaper price. Definitely would recommend to get your car repaired.

I do not recommend coming here!! Appointments only count when he decides they count. You can have 10:00am appointment and they won t see you car until 1:00pm. It s a waste of time coming here.

Max's Auto is run by honest, caring, and hardworking people. They always get my car in when it needs some emergency repairs and I usually get it back within a day if not the same day I dropped it off. They're completely fair with their prices and let you know upfront how much somethings gonna cost. If they say they can get it done, they will. I'll be a customer of Max's until I leave the Buffalo area.Services: Auto body & trim repair, Battery

Max Auto has been my go to shop for 3 years now. Even after moving out of the area, I make the drive. They are consistently fair and honest with pricing. When I was a student in undergrad, they would find ways to make it more affordable for me. I cannot more highly recommend this place.Note: Appointments are loose and sometimes take some time. Just know this going in and make a day of it in the Hertel area. Easy going, but certainly worth the service 10/10

I asked for an inspection and he told me he needs to keep my car for 3 days to find out everything wrong Last time I checked inspection takes 20 mins. They re definitely a money trap trying to milk everything from a customer.

Really grateful for this mechanic. This place is the best !! The owner really take care about your car and give you amazing advices I m more than comfortable to bring my car for any reason I highly recommend this place!They are considerate and reasonable. Thank you again, Max and their staff .

Very disapointed. He kept my car for 4 days did not fix the issue and still charged me $250. Had to Uber to work. Don't go here if you need any major repair done. Wish he would have been honest and just told me he couldn't fix it from the begining.. Take it anywhere else. Looking for another shop Monday.

Honest people who will not over charge you. It is already tough to find a good, trustworthy mechanic in Buffalo. I have tried many, many I decided not to go back to for one reason or the other. I have gone back to Max Auto and will likely go back to them for future car issues. Max is a religious man who does not have it in his heart to take advantage of a person, it is not in his nature.

***IF YOU DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT VEHICLES,DO NOT COME HERE.I LEARNED MY LESSON***Long story short I went in for an inspection,he told me I need front brakes,I started crying because I didn t get paid for that week yet so I didn t have the money.He told me ok it s fine I ll just lubricate them.Gave me the inspection sticker &told me to come back when I hit another 1,000 miles.Well I went back because I thought I needed brakes done and he tells me no they don t need it they re fine.I also told him there s rattling under my car &something might be loose,he went in the garage ,came back 5 minutes later &charged me $70 to tighten something that was loose &couldn t even tell me what was loose &couldn t tell me when my brakes need to be done.I had also told him a piece had come off underneath,it s the shield that protects everything underneath,he told me to show him,I did,he barely looked &said we put it on when you come back again There will never be an again .I am done with him.

Last year I needed to get an inspection for my SUV. Went there and was constantly told day after day to come back as they were busy. Even calling ahead they had no planning involved in their system.After finally getting an appointment they passed my inspection on the grounds I get a new tire as mine was balding. I paid up front and said I wanted to get a second one to balance out having 2 new tires. I paid in advance for the tire, gave my phone number, and never heard back from them. Called for multiple weeks and they completely "forgot" about me. I must mention there is a bit of a language barrier as the owner and mechanic are of foreign language.I cannot recommend going here

Horrible experience. Do not recommend this shop. The owner is a liar and the mechanics don t even know how to change simple brakes. They will take advantage of you if you don t know anything about cars. They replaced my windshield with an aftermarket windshield and bathroom caulk. I brought my vehicle back about 6 or 7 times because my brakes wouldn t stop squealing. I didn t ask for a dime, I just asked to correct the issue, and then the owner and mechanics told me I m just hungry for money. You just want money is what they repeated and I didn t ask for a penny... Then after I posted this review, the owner called and threatened me to remove it or he could make things worse .Services: Auto glass repair, Brakes

I can't say enough great things about this place. They've become my mechanic place. They're always nice, prices are CRAZY affordable, the work is always good and they're always efficient. Never takes too long. I honestly didn't think auto body shops like there's existed but, apparently they do. Every shop should be like this!

Ladies please don't take your cars to this shop. I made the mistake and took my car there find out why my engine light was on and gave them a main belt to put on.the.I left it there 2 days. I was told car was ready. Sat for an 1hr just to be told that their machine couldn't connect to my car and that i should come back tomorrow morning so they could figure it out. When I returned the following morning another mechanic did the same procedure just to tell me the same thing. Then the owner MAX said the most disrespectful statement "I am not GOD I cant tell you what is wrong with the car take it to AUTO ZONE they will clear the engine light for you!!! I thought that didn't make sense you are an auto mechanic shop you charged me $150 told me you diagnosed my vehicle had it running for 3hrs yet you can't tell me why my engine light is on. Went to auto zone and of course they don't do that. I felt disrespected and manipulate lost a day of work for no reason at all.

Went here for a simple inspection , come to find out my car needs new tires (which I suspected , it started to skid but I never checked them only put air in), my muffler was broken and an electrical problem as well. The owner was so quick with planning and repairs, they were done in only so fast. The price was amazing for all this as well, and the staff were excellent. 100% recommend this place

My key got stuck in my ignition on a Friday night (on a first date no less), and although many other places were closed, Max's was not!The lead mechanic sat in my car for all of 8 seconds and worked his autoshop sorcery to get the key out. I was officially floored. He showed me how he maneuvered it and sent me on my way (on the house, bless him).Thanks for being open when I needed you, and being awesome!

Really grateful for this mechanic. When I was a broke college student several years back my car check engine light went off and I really couldn't afford to have it break down during finals. The mechanic there was so kind and checked my computer, I forgot what the issue was something with refilling the coolant or something. It was a very minor repair that the mechanic just took care of without asking. Even if it was simple, I braced myself for the bill. When I asked what I owed him he told me to not worry about it and come back if anything else came up. I later moved away from Buffalo, but if I still lived there I would totally go to this place. They care about people, they aren't trying to nickel and dime, they are considerate and reasonable. Thank you again, Max the mechanic if you read this!

Randomly called to get pricing on mount and balance new tires, which they gave me a good price. While I was here and asked about pricing for brakes and rotors , also great price. Owner said they can do them now !! Cancelled my appt. at another local/ brand shop! Very happy!!

Spoke with the owner about needing new brake pads and wanting a tire rotation. Brought in at 9am as suggested by the owner. He stated that they should have down by 12pm. He called around 9:30 confirming I needed pads (which I knew) and mentioned the time again it should be done. I then had to call to find out if my car was done or not. He told me yes. I got there and he then told me they put new rotors on and new brake pads (he never told me he was putting new rotors on). Which is fine that they did this but I was NEVER told new rotors was being done. Once I picked up my car and brought it home, I realized they NEVER rotated my tires. I knew this because when I brought this is I had a missing tire stem cap on my back tire. It was in the exact same spot and I was charged the same amount regardless. A few days later, my fiance needed her car worked on (and I went here due to how quick of a turn around it was) and she believed it was wheel bearing. We brought it in and told him believe in was a bearing. We had to call (yet again) for an update. He told me they believed it was the wheel bearing as well and also stated that the right one was awful and had to be fixed, and to call back in 10 minutes for pricing because they were waiting to get an answer. I called back exactly in 10 minutes, and this was 5 minutes to them closing. The line immediately went to the an answering machine that isn't set up. I called back 5 more times and again, no one picked up. We waited until the next day and called in the morning. He then stated what the price was for one wheel bearing repair, so we said to stick with the one for now. He said it would be done by 2-3PM. We waited and again, no call. I called at 3pm asking for an update. Now he said it wasn't the wheel bearing, that he had some technician check it and that now it was the struts that were going bad. They then got two brand new tires (WITHOUT CALLING US OR TELLING US WHAT WAS HAPPENING) and installed them. Yes, much cheaper however, there is absolutely no follow up with them. We then went and picked up the car and it drives fine now. Very frustrating to say the least without any follow up, not explaining much of what is going on and not doing everything as requested. Extremely nice folks. Just extremely frustrated as stated.UPDATE: After the owner said that my fianc� s struts were terrible and that we d have to get new ones within a month, we went and got another opinion. Shocking, he was wrong. The struts were perfectly fine, all she needed as an alignment. This shop has no idea what they re doing, they don t tell you what they re doing to your vehicle and they hope you know exactly what is wrong with your car when you drop it off. I would never recommend this shop to anyone unless you re looking to get ripped off and little to no professionalism.

Locally owned, far better than nearby chain auto shops. Honest people who don't try to scam you for higher prices parts or needed work.Update:I took my beater Kia here before and now take my new car here for anything that's not under dealer warranty. Prices have remained fair and turnaround is still quick a year later.

Please don't buy vehicles from him. He will take less from you and eventually charge more when you visit him by saying I haven't charged for labor. I had a transmission issue within 4 months of purchase of the vehicle. "Engine light was always on." Spend a couple of dollars more and go to a decent shop. Please don't do cash transactions as you won't have a record. Since it has an official DMV collaboration, you can file a complain against his repairs and get your money back. SAVE YOUR MONEY! A dissatisfied customer. If you still don't want to listen and waste your hard earned money, you can go to his shop.

I walked in asking if I could have my vehicle inspected 2 hrs prior to closing time listed on their business website and was denied service to due them not feeling like doing it. Just a reminder that they did not have anyone else to really attend to at the very moment. Poor customer service and I would NEVER recommend or refer them to anyone.

Great service, wonderful people, affordable prices. They will be straightforward about repairs and not try to upsell you, which I really appreciate. You can trust them. They fixed my headache of a car yet again. I dropped it off at 9:30am & Rashid (the owner) texted me when they were done it was that simple. He gave me a nice discount because one of my belts only needed to be tightened, so their a pretty honest shop.

Recently had an inspection. Everything was fair, knowledgeable, and prompt. The team there offered solutions to correct codes, parts and was honest. Didn't feel like they would say anything to get more money out of me like a previous place. I recommend them I would go back.

I brought my car into Max auto my Honda accord red did my drilled rotors trusted place for me they work perfect and he doesn't rush the job.i wanted him to he said no we gots to do it right.

Honest Auto Repair make sure you what's wrong and they don't try and upsell you. The pricing I had received here was at least 25% less than a national brand Plus Max's is a locally owned and run business.
