The best local mechanic, they are super honest and always explain everything super clearly. They really give you options as if it were them making the decision. Love this place.

Extremely reputable business. Took my car for an inspection there and the guy looked at it and told me that the tint wouldn't pass with them and recommended we get the tint remove and then come back for inspection. Didn't even charge me anything even though he totally could have. 10/10 recommend if you're looking for an honest and ethical mechanic.

The gentlemen at forest automotive were extremely polite and knowledgeable. I had no worries when my car was in the shop here and the workers there are way quicker than expected. These guys show only signs of honest work, if you want reliability come here.

They are very kind and accommodating here! They got me in for an inspection on short notice and made it as easy as possible. Most importantly they were polite and honest. Considering I had poor experiences at other auto places, I ll certainly go back here when I need a car repair or inspection again.

Good service, friendly people, usually booked out a solid week in advance but that's the only drawback. They'll make sure the necessary work gets done, that you understand what's going on, and in my experience they won't push through extra charges or superfluous work. It would be 5 stars, I just like being able to get the car taken care of more quickly. Not their fault of course!

Great go-to auto shop. Knowledgeable staff and honest, IMO. Will explain the issues with your car in depth with you and tell you about your options, price wise. Ethical, time efficient, and good communication with customers.

I had an old car that seemed to need repairs every 3 months and I would never take my car anywhere other than here. Always extremely fair and honest letting me know what repairs I needed, and what repairs I'd be ok with forgoing which as a student on a budget, I really appreciated. I'd recommend Forest automotive to all my family and friends.

Scheduled an appointment for an inspection and asked how long it would take, I was told it was a drop off appointment and a waiting appointment wasn t available until a few days out. I needed the inspection immediately and also was on a tight work schedule so that I was unable to set up transportation to and from the shop. They were able to squeeze me in a little before my scheduled appointment so that I could have my car inspected and make it to work without delay. They are very considerate gentleman and willing to work with you which was so appreciated.

Told me I needed parking brake repaired to pass inspection, so I agreed and paid about $300-350. Several months later I heard a grinding noise and brought car back in. Was told parking brake had failed and would be $800 to fix. They accepted no responsibility and refused to give me any break on parts or labor. Disappointing.I recommend Ultimate Auto or Towne Motor instead.

The issues, breakdown of costs, and timeline to finish servicing my 2014 Forester are always communicated to me without the delay and hassle I ve seen at other places. They ve even gone as far as to retract an item included in the initial repair estimate from the final invoice - unprompted (horn could still honk if I hit a specific spot on the steering wheel). Excellent in terms of customer service, mechanical acumen, and professional integrity.

Took my car here for inspection by myself and they did not try to upsell me on a single thing, which I appreciated tremendously. They are definitely single female friendly and have integrity! Service was reasonably fast and communication was excellent. Will definitely return.

Amazing place. Read their write-up on their website. Had a tough to diagnose issue with my car last year and dropped it off with them. They took it, ran the codes, drove it around a little, and ran me through the whole host of different things that it could have been while being upfront with me about why they wouldn't waste my time or money trying to pinpoint it when it likely wasn't a major problem (unless I *wanted* to pay them to!). Gave me a simple list of options & advice going forward. Took my concerns seriously, but did well assuaging them & nudging me along in the less costly direction.Thanks for the help.

The owner and his whole team are excellent. Incredibly thorough and knowledgeable. We had to replace a whole computer system. It's a semi complex issue with working parts and different things came up after. They went above and beyond to make sure the job was done and we were happy. This is a long overdue review. Forest Automotive has proven time and time again to be ethical and a true neighborhood business. Both my wife and I take our vehicles here and they treat everyone like equals. Auto shops would do themselves a service to model their business after Forest Automotive.

Great service and friendly staff. I made an appointment for an oil change and realized I was also due for an inspection, and they had it done in just a couple hours at a reasonable cost.

I stopped in on a Friday at 3:30 after my check engine light turned on while driving on Scajaquada. I was planning to take a long drive home on Sunday and really didn t want to wait until Monday to leave. Jordan and the other guys were able to pull my car into a bay, order a new ignition coil from the supplier, and install it before they closed at 5:15 which allowed me to be able to make it home on time. I am very impressed with the quality, the speed, and the price for the service. I would 100% recommend Forest Automotive to anyone in the area and will be returning if I ever have another issue with my car.

Found out about these guys from friend. They were great. Straight forward with everything being done and fair with pricing. I took my car to have some work done. Dropped it off the night before.. They have a drop box for keys. Got my car back the next day. Took my SO's car for an inspection. Appointment was 12 o'clock. Dropped it off the night before. They called at 830am to tell me it was all set to pick up. Couldn't recommend them enough... Brian and Jordan were great!!

I am so happy with my service from Forest Automotive. I came in looking to get my car inspected and to address a check engine light issue that had plagued my Honda for a while. They were extremely easy to work with and quickly resolved the issues. They kept me in the loop every step of the way and I could not be happier!

Absolutely the best shop around. We used them on a continuous basis for all our vehicle repair needs. Honest, hard working guys that take pride and ownership in what they do. These cats are the best around. Iv been bringing my car their exclusively for years, and will miss them once we move. They have fair prices and are always looking to help, never to over charge or simply make a sale. They always have detailed lists of what's suggested to do, and offer awesome advice! I can't suggest them highly enough. Around the holidays, they dig CBW as a gift and might remember you the more Whale you hook em up with!

Fast, friendly service. When the repair estimate came back high, referred me to a place that could do a specialized repair cheaper. Charged a low diagnostic fee. I've been coming to this shop for a few years now & I have to say...they are by far the most pleasant, patient & knowledgeable guys in the business. They're extremely communicative, they work fast to get your vehicle in & out, and for me personally, they always go above & beyond to keep my beloved old Mazda in excellent condition. I don't know where I'd be without Forest Automotive. They will be my "go-to" shop until the end of time!

We recently moved into the city. Our previous mechanic just retired. Fate has it that our cars all needed inspections and service. I stopped into the shop to meet Brian after loving the write ups about him and the other guys. He was very personable and accommodating to our schedule. He also blew me away with his knowledge about specific issues with modern engines. Highly recommended

Wonderful local mechanic! I had a power steering pump problem in the morning, took to them, and had it looked at by the afternoon same day. They gave me a quote and what the issue was, then estimated time of repair.They had it fixed by the next morning for a very reasonable price! On top of that they noted some minor issues for me to keep an eye on in the future, but said it wasn't important to immediately fix.
