DO NOT GO HEREI rated this place 5 stars previously. Now I wish I could give them 0 stars. I have been coming here for years staff used to be so friendly and helpful. I recently went to check my brakes. The issue was very small but they made it worse so they can over charge me. Even flex pay said they were over charging. $118.00 for parts but $1,490.00 for labor crazy. I asked for my car back after sitting there for 5plus hours and this is when I discovered I no longer had brake fluid in my car. The manager Andrew said no one touched my car but that was a complete lie. Andrew then said somebody put brake fluid in her car so she can go but now the problem is I have a huge leak in my brake line that was not there when I got there. I drove there I should have been able to drive away but I couldn't because of Andrew, and he didn't care because I would not let him over charge me. he even changed the work order so flex pay would send him the money and when that didn't work he basically said screw me. Andrew is making his staff over charge people. Staff is rude management SUCKS. They are making small problems big so they can over charge you. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

I ordered my tires from Amazon and had them delivered to Mavis. Mavis installed and balanced all 4 tires.My front right tire for the last 2 weeks I've been having a problem with the air pressure so I return to Mavis and in no time at all they replaced the faulty value and I was on my way.

Many service providers give mediocre service. Not this place. Andrew, Jack, and Jullian are very knowledgeable, and professional and will not rob or mislead you. Recommendations were given without forcing my hand. I trust these guys and highly recommend them for all services under the services they provide. Thank you fellas for A++++ work and outstanding customer care.

2nd time at this location. Every time I have a wonderful experience. Friendly and informed staff, they let you use the bathroom, and they have water in the waiting area. Small details like this matter. The service is always pretty fast and they always get to me by my appointment time.

I would give it a zero. My wife went to get the car some air the first visit. Everything fine. Second visit she went in for a plug which she was charged over $40. Plug didn t last 24 hours. Manager made a fuss about how it s not guaranteed to work and that the hole got bigger. What a joke. Over night it got bigger? So what about a patch? Anyway they pumped PSI up to 45 on the wheels when it s supposed to be 30 (that s what they said the first visit when they let out some air because the PSI was higher than 30). They re just setting up cars for failure so they can continue telling you there s a problem. Don t go here unless you re a male. They re disrespectful, inconsistent, oh and the regional manager gave us a refund clearly there must a guarantee in the service. Go to Pito s Flat Tire a few blocks down. I got two tires patched for $40. Less of a rip-off and it actually is a guarantee lol idiots.

I came here for the first time for a flat tire and the service was above excellent. The price for my new tire was reasonable . The staff was super friendly and I was able to ask other questions abt my car that I had concerns about . They answered all of my questions and helpful .

Used to love this place, was always quick and and very helpful. Went out of my way to go on Tuesday but was not greeted with any form of pleasantness. Person who checked me in was completely uninterested in any questions or comments. When I asked if 2 hours was sufficient for the work he laughed at me and said no. I had an appointment and when I asked why we make appointments if it doesn't assist in timing he gave me a lame answer. Ended up leaving without service.

Went to get an oil change Monday Feb 5th they drained my differential fluid causing my car to lock up on me while driving putting my life in severe danger within less than 24hrs Tuesday feb 6th, then they have the audacity to say Mercedes did it when Mercedes verified that Mavis drained my differential fluid instead of my oil causing internal damage to my car Mavis themselves were negligent putting, my life in absolute danger and is LYING to me telling me they don t have the tools. Do not go there they are liars and will not take accountability for messing your car up but they made a very big mistake not taking accountability for what they done to my car!!!!!

Although the service on my vehicle was good. The customer service was questionable. The woman at the front desk recommended me some other services that are not a priority for me right now and began to upsell me. As I began to decline, she had to ask a technician if that was ok. She came back trying to upsell further and was upset that I was declining.

I told them this- I was NOT expecting to have a good time getting my tires balanced but not only did the ashaunie and John lead me in the right direction but they also let me see my vehicle in progress, walk me through some of my options, give me confidence in my decisions, and left me feeling actually more knowledgeable about my car.The price was reasonable and I was able to be taken right away. I was out in an hour. Honestly shocked about the service especially as a woman it was a pleasant experience.

This is the customer service experience, my husband and I received at Mavis Discount Tire, located on Pennsylvania Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. In Oct 2022, we took our RAV4 to Mavis for the brakes to be changed. They informed us that the brakes and rotors had to be changed, and the cost is $807. They replaced the brakes and rotors. Rotors normally lasts around 30,000 miles. Apr 2023, we had to return the van to Mavis, to be checked, because when we press the brakes, the vehicle would vibrate. Apr 2023 would be around the 5,000 miles mark of putting on the brakes and rotors. Mavis performed the inspection, did what they had to do (we do not know what that was, nor did they say) and the problem was fixed, so we thought. We then went to Virginia in Sep 2023 and noticed the same problem; this should put the miles on the rotors around 14,000. We returned to NY in Nov 2023 and returned the vehicle to Mavis for the same brakes vibrating issue. Mavis counter technician said the engine mounts needed to be changed and once that is done the vibrations would stop. Mavis counter technician also gave us a list of things that needed fixing, with an estimate for $3,000. We had the engine mount fixed by another shop and to our surprise, the brakes vibration was still there. We already planned a trip for Dec 2023 and returned to NY early Jan 2024. My husband called Mavis headquarters on 8 Jan 2024 and explained the issue and the person on the phone told my husband the district manager will give him a call. My husband called Mavis again, on 12 Jan 2024, and 15 Jan 2024, and again the Mavis phone person said the district manager will give him a call. As of today, 18 Jan 2024, no one from Mavis has called my husband. Customer service at its best.On 17 Jan 2024, my husband went to Mavis shop on Pennsylvania Avenue for Mavis to diagnose why the rotors are not working properly. The vehicle mechanic went on a test drive with my husband and the mechanic felt the vibration. The mechanic told my husband they can fix the problem. The mechanic then went next door to Advance Auto and picked up new rotors. The Mavis counter technician then told my husband that the price to put on the new rotors is $300, plus tax, and that they will also replace the breaks for free. My husband asked the counter technician, why do he have to pay for the rotors, when we keep coming back for the same rotor issue. The technician said the rotors are not under warranty. Am I missing something here?In all the years of owning this vehicle, this is the first time we have experienced this issue. We have always changed the breaks when the time is right, and we have never had to go back to the shop to have it checked. I am guessing it may be because inferior parts were placed on the vehicle. I say that because why would a new rotor start acting up at the 5,000 miles mark, when it is still new.Interestingly, on my Carfax report, there is no indication that Mavis ever did work on the vehicle. We have done oil changes on 2 different vehicles and the breaks and rotors on this RAV4 and there is no documentation of the vehicle ever going to Mavis. My question, once a vehicle is bought to a car shop, for any type of work, shouldn t that car shop report that some sort of work was done on the vehicle? Again, am I missing something here?On 18 Jan 24 we submitted email messages to the Mavis Contact Us page, with the above information. We had to piece the above into 4 individual email messages, because the email body box is limited to the amount of information that can be typed in.26 Jan 24, as of today, we have not heard back from anyone at Mavis.I will be submitting this complaint to the BBB, and EVERY other site that I can, so other customers will be aware of what to look out for, once they decide to use Mavis.I wish I can select a 0, on the scale of 1 to 5 for the rating, but that is not an option.

The staff at this location are very friendly and helpful! I was able to replace all four of my tires and get the extra assistance I need to make sure my car was ready for the road. I ll definitely be coming back!

I've made 3 appointments on 3 separate occasions for this location when I get here they tell me 3-5 people are ahead of me. I've called ahead because I learned after the 1st time and they tell me there's no one ahead of me. Once I get there either there's no tech that does wheel alignments or there are 3-5 people ahead of me. Why ask people to make appointments if you can't keep them. I wouldn't mind waiting 1hr but 3hrs is crazy. Even the guy at the front says I tell people not to make appointments. Very unprofessional.

I am a pissed Customer. I don t know what happened to the original staff at this particular location but they seem to have changed the entire staff from the previous YEARS that I have gone there and I have always left a very satisfied customer. Not any more. I visited this location last week and was treated so poorly and without respect by the attendee at the front desk. She was unfriendly and ice cold, she didn t listen to anything I had to say , I was told go have a seat, I realize now that s when I should have just walked out. I was treated like I was in the army with a drill sergeant. I also felt that I was treated like a child and did not receive the type of service I was used to with the old staff. Because of her I am NEVER going back to this location. I couldn t wait to leave the presence of the ice queen she s just an awful person and DO NOT NEED TO NEED TO BE AT THE FRONT DESK. Mavis Please put her to the back where no one can see nor hear her. I know she saw the look on my face how shocked I was at her behaviour towards me, she had not a smile on her face and spoke very harshly. I left very unsatisfied. I did however call their Pissed customer number and complained. I do not recommend this location with this new staff and ESPECIALLY Ice cold Dragon lady at the front desk. I want to give a ZERO star but it s not allowing me to take the last one off, that s how unsatisfied I am

Scheduled an appointment online to change all tires. Arrived and was helped immediately. The guys were transparent with pricing, informative, and inviting. Every worker was professional, and space was clean. They stuck with the appointment time and worked quickly and efficiently. I will definitely return for future car needs. Travis worked on my car and did an excellent job.
