I first went to Lorenzutti Motors when I purchased a classic 1981 Mercedes roadster in 2010. I was looking for a mechanic with a top-notch reputation that I could trust for quality work at a fair price. As it turned out they are much more than that.Alejandro is a master mechanic who knows every client and their cars in detail. He is involved in every repair of every car in his care and goes out of his way to get the job done right. Repairing classic cars can be tricky and expensive because it takes time to troubleshoot antique systems without the help of out-of-print manuals and supply chains for hard-to-find parts. The expense of these repairs can quickly sky-rocket because of the time and space that these jobs require. In my case, Alejandro went out of his way to make the time and space to help me keep my Mercedes roadster in mint condition and charge me much better than fair prices. He once kept my car in his shop for over six months over one winter when I wouldn t use it, his mechanics working on it little by little, in between jobs, in order to keep my costs down. I know if I had parked my Mercedes in a garage in Brooklyn for the same time that he was working on it, I would have paid three times as much in storage fees as he charged me for his work. Alejandro is the kind of mechanic that everybody dreams about finding, no matter where they live, and especially in Brooklyn (Forgettaboutit!!!). I have been bringing my car to this place for almost 20 years now -- first an old Volvo, then a slightly newer Volvo, and now a Subaru Forester. They have never let me down! A fair, honest, reliable and incredibly knowledgable mechanic... I'd recommend this place to anyone!

Lorenzutti motors is top notch!I ve been going to them ever since 2004. They have an amazingly vast amount of knowledge about a wide range of car manufacturers.They ll fix the problem and always give honest prices. They are not out to drain as much money from our wallets as possible.I always recommend them and I would not suggest to anybody to go anywhere else.

Alejandro and Dominic are a wonderful father and son team.I was immediately impressed by Lorenzutti when I first visited two years ago and have been pleased with the service every time I have been back.This establishment is run by an intelligent, honest, hardworking and highly competent family.

I've been using Lorenzutti for over 10 years. They are reliable, honest, professional and know their craft really well. In addition they are affordable and mindful of your budget. They will tell you exactly what they are doing and show you the parts they have swapped out. Roberto and Alejandro are super fabulous. They are a team of knowledgeable mechanics, that perform reliable workmanship, tipped off with what in NY experience are honest prices. I have serviced my vehicles there; Volvo 850R, Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT, here for several years, and always leave feeling satisfied, confident that my vehicle is safe, and that I was not taken advantage of. Recomend 100%

Great repairs for my 2007 Volvo XC70! Highly recommended. I brought my car in with what I thought was a major problem - Alejandro and his team fixed it like it was nothing, and did diagnostics to catch issues I didn t know about before they became crises. He was great at communicating what the problems were and what the fixes would be. 10/10! Trustworthy and completist. Thank you!

Been using them for over a decade. They are foreign car specialists. Alejandro especially is always accommodating and takes the time to discuss options. Highly recommend.

I can not recommend Lorenzutti highly enough! I ve been taking my old finicky Volvo here for years and have always had a great experience. Alejandro Merlino is so kind and patient with all his customers and gives honest reliable advice every time. They are super reasonable and fast and they never do any work without quoting you first. I spend most of my time upstate right now but have come down to the city to have these guys work on my car because there s no one I trust more. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Honest, friendly, knowledgeable and so pleasant to deal with. Alejandro & Robert are excellent mechanics. They will not rip you off, they will patiently explain what's wrong with your car, they will keep you from spending money on your older mostly European car if you don't need to. Can't say enough good things about them.

Alejandro and his team provided incredible service and kept me informed about the status of my repairs from start to finish. He walked me through every step and even made suggestions which ended up saving me money. I'd recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

I have been going to this place for all my car service needs since i moved to the neighborhood. They are honest, really knowledgeable and highly professional. i have purchased a 10 year old used BMW with some serious transmission problems. Their mechanic was able to diagnosed the problem and fix it save me a lot of money by avoiding replacing it with a new transmission. I am happy with their services and their manager Alejandro. I strongly recommend this place.

I was interested in using this shop but my difficulty in getting them on the phone combined with the rushed phone manner when I did get thru on the phone discouraged me from going there. They seem like they are too busy to be bothered. I just wanted my window fixed but I kept getting a story about it probably needed a whole new regulator when I knew it only needed replacement rollers which I already ordered from Volvo. Alejandro kept saying that "in his experience" the regulator could be bent and if they took it apart and the regulator was bad they don't have time to put it back and I would have to take my car without them putting it together. The whole conversation was a real turn off. I took the car to Autobahn on Park Avenue in Harlem, gave them my new OEM rollers and in a short time they called me to tell me the window was fixed and was in perfect working condition. The takeaway to this story is ....Don't turn off your potential customers without even looking at the job. I won't be using Lorenzutti Motors with that kind of over the phone customer service.

These guys are great. I brought my Toyota Camry wagon to them for years, and they were always extremely reliable. These days they're providing excellent service on my Prius, and I couldn't be happier. Alejandro is a master mechanic and a pleasure to work with. This place is a real find.

I highly recommend lorenzutti. Alejandro is the best mechanic in NYC! He is honest and the prices are very reasonable. This combination is very rare! As a young woman who just invested in their first car, it s hard to find. I refuse to take my car anywhere else for a repair. Don t think twice: this is the place to go! If you live out of state consider coming just to go to this mechanic!

After taking my VW to a very highly-rated "VW specialist" five times for the same problem and never having it actually get fixed, I am so relieved and thrilled that only two blocks away was this pleasant shop that fixed it, did it quickly and did it for what felt like a reasonable price. Two different neighbors with German cars swear by Lorenzutti, so I'm a convert. The place was filled with German cars, so I felt comfortable bringing it there. I called first to make an appointment at the suggestion of my friends and they were glad I did, so make an appointment first.ETA: they've been having phone problems--it's an issue with their service provider that they've been trying to remedy for months. So, it can be hard to get through on some days. Also, they're crazy busy. But worth waiting and trying to get through.

I wish I could offer more stars! Lorenzutti Motors, and Alejandro in particular, exceeded our expectations again and again. As the COVID crisis set in, our car stalled out and needed several repairs. Despite the circumstances, Alejandro worked diligently to get our car back up and running. He was abundantly professional, honest and communicative throughout the process. This was our best experience of a mechanic!

Superb mechanics. They care about your car and teaching you how to take care of it. Excellent diagnostics and at explaining what they've found. Respectful of women! Fair prices. Word has gotten around so they are hard to get on the phone, but definitely worth the effort.

This is hands down the best mechanic in Brooklyn. Not only do they do great work but hey are always super nice, never ever try and get you to do something you don t need and sometimes they even convince you not to spend any money. It s the only place I will ever go again in Brooklyn. And be sure to ask for Alejandro- I guarantee that he will treat you well!

Rudest worst experience and I ve been to some bad mechanics before. They leave your car double parked to be ticketed and don t pay for it.

One of the best Auto Repair shops in Brooklyn, People are knowledgeable and friendly. A bit pricey. More importantly, they are extremely honest.

They seem like they are too busy to be helpful unless your repair can be accomplished in their timeframe. Their phone manner needs improvement and that's if you can even get anyone to answer the phone. Good luck with that.
