I have been bringing my car to L&M Foreign Cars for the past two years for service and repairs. Mark,Bill and all the service technicians are great and very knowledgeable of foreign cars. The work is always neat , clean and the prices are way less than taking your car to a dealership. I've been living in the community for 25 years and as long as I can remember they've been around. That says a lot about a business and it's reputation to keep people coming back. I truly recommend you take your foreign car to these gentlemen before you go to the dealer. You'll thank me later

L&M is a rare combination of honesty, integrity, and competence.They earned my business when they answered my cold call after experiencing a brake failure on a drive to NYC from out-of-state. The founder, Bill, advised me on making sure my car was safe to operate, and had me bring it in for evaluation. They then spent nearly two weeks completely re-doing the brake system, sourcing hard-to-find parts, fabricating subcomponents where needed, and addressed other obvious non-brake problems, such as an exhaust leak and a relay meltdown. I was able to drive the car back home safely, and soundly.I ve returned three more times and they ve fixed chronic problems that the home mechanic couldn t, or wouldn t, address: a cracked ABS sensor ring on the front axle, a frozen rear windshield wiper, a detached interior panel on a sliding door, a sagging headliner, a misbehaving sun visor. They put their knowledge to a series of engine codes that kept popping up. Oh, and they replaced the front struts.The founder s son, Mark, who effectively runs the operation and his chief mechanic, Peter, who has a restorer s mentality and ability, are unique personalities and allies. Mark and his father kept me apprised of progress, sending pictures, and Peter explained in detail everything he was doing, or had done. It was a reassuring and rewarding interaction. I wish I had known about them sooner, and that they had been servicing my car since the beginning.They could have turned me away for not having an appointment, or because my car was a 21 year old VW with hard-to-find parts and unique problems, but they didn t they tackled my problem head-on. Yes, bring your car to L&M and you will keep bringing it back. I know I will.

When I decided to stop using the Audi dealership after a few less-than-stellar experiences, I found L & M and I never looked back. Billy and Mark have always been great to deal with and they call it how it is. If your car needs something they tell you and if not they tell you. I always felt I was getting a fair shake with them. For over a decade, first with my Audi TT and later with my Audi A6 wagon, I've had everything from regular service visits to larger repairs done by them. I'm glad I found this shop, having a mechanic that knows your vehicle, does exceptional work and manages to establish trust is hard to find in this city. I ve been coming to this shop since 2019 and they ve been nothing short of excellent. The owners, Billy and Mark, treat me with care & respect even as a novice car owner. They only use the best products & parts and take the time to teach me about caring for my car. Anytime I bring my car here I know I m in great hands and unlike most mechanics, they don t try to persuade you into getting things you don t need.

Billy and Mark really know what they are doing! They are a bit pricey, however, you get prompt, excellent service. I definitely will return here to have them repair my vehicle.

Billy, Mark, and the whole crew at L&M Foreign Cars are amazing. I ve been coming to them over the last 6 years, with three different BMW vehicles. They ve done extraordinary work, with the highest attention to detail, every single time.If you own a German car, these guys are your go to! 10/10 stars. Strongly recommend.

I have officially took my car to the dealership for the last time. A few weeks ago, I took my 2017 Audi with 78K mikes to the dealership because my car was suddenly shaking and not accelerating. The Dealership first diagnosed my car and said my piston rings were worn out and then quoted me an engine for more than 30k. Needless to say that was NOT going to happen. I looked up nearby Audi mechanics online and thankfully stumbled on L&M, read over the reviews and decided to give them a call. Explained my issue to both Mark and Billy and they both told me it doesn t sound right what they are telling me, they gave me questions to ask the dealership about my car and once I called back Audi they could not give me an effective answer to the questions. After calling back L&M I was told to just change my spark plugs and bring it over. At that point, my car has been at the dealership for one week, I picked it up and once I took it to L&M , in less than an hour they were able to diagnose my car PROPERLY discovering my oil level was way over and spilled into my engine causing buildup. They were able to SAVE my engine, giving me an oil change, a new filter and added a dipstick, costing me substantially thousands less than what the dealership was trying to get out of me. When I came to pick up my car the same day, they said I m the 3rd person for the day that the dealership quoted them an engine and that was not the solution. They took the time out to explain how to check my levels to make sure this didn t happen again. They said all I need in about a month is a tune up. I left there with my car running great, I waited a few weeks to write this just to ensure it was still running smooth. I have officially found my mechanic, I greatly appreciated their honesty and the time they took out to help, I will definitely be taking my car there from now on. Highly recommend.

L & M Foreign Cars is amazing I am a lifelong BMW owner and I have never had a more thorough & professional experience with any shop. Billy the owner, is a proper gentleman with a wealth of experience & knowledge he can diagnose a car in his sleep. Mark is professional and courteous he communicates all work to be done he sends pics & updates at every step along the way he goes above & beyond to provide excellent customer service. and Tino hands down is the best mechanic I've ever worked with If you have a foreign car this is your new shop,

I have been bringing my Golf Sportwagen to L & M for pretty much the whole life of the car. From my very first visit I knew that I found a perfect fit. They are super knowledgeable, pleasant to deal with, and scrupulously honest. The last time I went in for an oil change, they noticed that I don't drive the car very much and spent a good fifteen minutes showing me how to start it up after a long period of inactivity, so that I am keeping the engine healthy. This was at no charge: they did it because they care about their customers, and care about their customer's cars. I can't recommend them highly enough. If you're looking for someone to take good care of your foreign car, look no further. I've been taking my Audi A4 to Mark at L&M Foreign Cars for over a year now, and it's been a total relief to find a team of reliable and informative mechanics. Being relatively new to car maintenance, I appreciate how they take the time to educate me about what they did under the hood and what I need to keep an eye on. Their in-depth explanations and willingness to answer all my questions not only demonstrate their expertise but also build a relationship of trust that I haven't had at the other shops I've taken my car to so far.My first time with them was for routine maintenance, but their high level of professionalism left a big impression on me. Wish I could give them 10 !!!!!I ve been a customer of L & M for the past 3 years and could not be happier!! I originally came to this shop based on the referral of another mechanic and also because of an AWFUL experience at a dealership. From that first experience here , I knew this was the only place I would ever bring my car for any repairs- big or small. These guys are honest about what your car needs and always provide top notch service. The owner and his son are always a pleasure to deal with.They lead an excellent team of mechanics who truly care about the quality of work they do. I truly see why they ve been in business for over 50 years and appreciate everything they ve done to help me keep my car maintained . If you re in need in someone to work on your vehicle and who cares about it , take it to L& M. These guys are the specialists you probably didn t realize you need!! They are the best of the best!! Where do I start? I wanted to buy a 2010 Audi A4 from a copart auction in NJ. The listing said it started with a jump and the exterior was great so I called and spoke to Bill and asked if I could have the car delivered to his shop. He then immediately told me NOT to buy the car. Said they usually give engine trouble after 100k miles. The car had 123k. So I went against his advice and purchased it anyway. Long story short the car needed a new engine! the pistons were all broken and the cylinders were cracked. Due to a chain tensioner timing jump. the repair bill was Quoted for about 7k but since I got it for a good price it wasn't all that bad. What I really appreciated was that I didn't have all the funds for the repair upfront but they worked with me. Sent me video updates on the repair progress. everything took about a month or so to complete. They basically rebuilt an engine from scratch. The car runs like new. These people are truly amazing and their work proceeds them.

I had several issues with my car after purchasing it (used Landrover) and L&M helped me to fix the issues one by one. - They seem very experienced with Land Rovers which has their own share of specific quirks.L & M is family operated and they know what they are doing, give you honest opinions on the different options for your vehicle and work hard to fix it.They are also nice people and work patiently with you to explain the issues and resolve them. The location is easy to find and you can pull up right on their parking lot.Can definitely recommend them.

These guys are very knowledgeable and honest. They will do what needs to be done and explain it all to you. I ve been going to L&M for 3 years and from my first BMW to my last this will be the only shop I visit. There hasn t been an issue that they haven t been able to fix. I ve also never had to go back for a previous issue with any of my cars.This shop has knowledgable and honest mechanics that do quality/excellent work.I highly recommend.

Absolutely the best mechanic team you can wish to have work on your car. "THE BEST".Father/son duo are totally honest great people. Excellent pricing. Brought my S6 in, they communicated with me thru text and pictures. They serviced my car BETTER then audi.I'm talking the "BEST" foreign auto specialist in this town, Guaranteed. Very much appreciate their work. They understand how much I love my car. Gave me advice how to take care of it better also.They have been in business forever. No need to go anywhere else. All around 5 Stars. Great team here!!!

For foreign car owners, I highly recommend this auto shop if you are looking for great mechanics that will give you honest diagnostic/repair recommendation, fair pricing (support local establishment vs. corporate giants), fast service and great results. I own a 2016 Mini Cooper S 2 door Coupe and I have been with L&M for the last 4 years. They have performed from oil change, to brake replacement, 30K Mile Service, etc. And never have I had any bad experience or have been charged with astronomically high bill. As for service/price comparison, they tend to be 50-55% lower than your local dealership. Let's meet the owners - Mr. Bill is an amazing person, who is courteous/kind, and very professional. And his son Mark is a straight shooter, pragmatic, no nonsense kind of guy that just want to get the best results for both the client and their business. Both Father and Son will never up-sell you. L&M Foreign Cars depicts "Your Honest Local Mechanic". Marc and the team at L&M are amazing! While visiting Brooklyn my X5's engine light came on. Called the shop, they were able to see me same day. After some trouble shooting they resolved the issue. Marc went above and beyond...their prices saved me $$$ if had taken the car to the dealer (besides couldn't get an appointment for weeks). My car has had several problems and has been to several repair shops, including a Volvo dealer. It was a very negative experience each time, but but luckily I eventually found L&M Foreign Cars. Bill took care of my Volvo C30 so it runs like new! He clearly loves and knows his stuff. In addition, the shop is clean, the mechanics are friendly and the service is excellent.It's not cheap, but in the end, each of us is willing to pay to have his car treated the way it deserves.

I have a 2018 Audi Q7. I went to the dealership as the car started shaking badly, check engine light was on, car was getting over heated. The dealership gave a list that would total over $12,000 to fix. I freaked out. went to a local mechanic, who got me even more scared, he said my car computer has failed, too may issues, and suggested go back to the dealer for repair.Well, I goggled "AUDI REPAIR NEAR ME" and L&M popped up.Taking the car to Bill @ L&M has been the best decision I made. They fixed the entire car in a few days, cost half the price as the dealer, car runs very smooth now, was worth every penny. They fixed all electrical problems, new sensors, new water pump, tune up, brakes, rotors, oh and a free inspection. Today I brought in my BMW X3 to get a diagnostic and repairs done and I have nothing but great things to say about Bill and the staff at L&M. Bill is very knowledgeable and cares about the service he provides. He even replaced one of my coils for free and that was a blessing! I trust that Bill and L&M want the best for their customers and I will continue to come back to get maintenance done on my BMW.As a first time car owner finding L&M has relieved some of the stress and fear about finding reliable and expert service. I highly recommend L&M. Keep spreading love the Brooklyn way...

I discovered L&M by chance after a Land Rover shop in Bay Ridge gave me really awful service (ping me and I ll give you the name), essentially telling me that my newly purchased LR3 with only 50k was junk. In desperation, I Googled LR service in Brooklyn and discovered L&M. The reception they gave me couldn t have been different, they got the car in shape on a relative budget and now the vehicle that I was told to walk away from has completed three trips to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, one round trip to Florida and numerous camping weekends in NY State a cross country overland is being planned. Great mechanics are artists, it takes creativity and unconventional thinking to get an older car in top condition. Look no further than L&M Auto Service: Auto maintenance

So after doing extensive research looking for places to do some work on my car, I came across L & M. I decided to try my luck with an oil change after reading all the great reviews. I must say I ve finally found my mechanics! Super happy with the experience. Everyone was super friendly and have great senses of humor from the owner down.With just driving my car to the lift they knew exactly what was wrong with my car. I sat and began talking to the owner about all my car problems and he patiently listened and gave me advice. He even helped to solve some of the issues right then and there. Being a women, some mechanics like to try and underestimate you but I do research on my own, so while talking to the owner he was pretty impressed of how knowledgeable I was of the things he would tell me and I was so impressed and relieved that I found someone true and not just trying to bring up things to take my money.I felt completely comfortable and they give such a personable experience that I ll definitely be going back to give them my service. You can tell that everyone in that shop loves what they do and I look forward to bringing my car here for future service. I highly recommend this shop if you have a German car, you definitely will not leave dissatisfied.

I've been a loyal customer of L & M Foreign Cars for over 10 years. They helped me get the absolute most out of my 2002 vw beetle and they are the only place I trust with my new Volkswagen. They always take the time to explain any issue and the turnaround is always quick.
