I have been coming here for years never had an issue with the brothers . They are always very friendly and respectful to me. My inspection takes about 25-30 minutes .. they offer seating for me ( it s not the cleanest ) and that s probably because it s an auto shop with men working on dirty cars all day.. point is they still offer or they call me when my car is done. I will continue coming here for service until I no longer can.P.s . My car failed inspection once and he didn t charge me he simply said get the item fixed and come back.Service: Vehicle Inspection

1st come 1st served. Came for the first time to do an inspection. This place was recommended to me by a coworker who brings their car there. Once it was my turn it took just about 25 mins and it was all done. Gary was a decent guy and even offered a chair for outside while I was waiting. I'd most likely go back again to do some maintenance since they made me feel comfortable.

PLEASE save yourself the time and money and avoid this place. This place is literally the cliche' of overpriced mechanic shop taking advantage of people who just need their car serviced. do NOT try and get inspection here, they will find something to fail you and make you come back. . do NOT do simple service like battery or brake replacement. you will be upcharged to the tune of double price of the next guy. I am not a mean person, but it's clear to me why these two 70 year old brothers are still getting their hands dirty every day changing batteries..... no business this dirty would be successful enough for them to retire.Service: Battery

THEY SAID IT WAS OPENED BUT IT WAS CLOSED AND THE CAR GAVE OUT ON JS. DUE TO THEM FAILING TO ULDATE THEIR GOOGLE!!!

I went in for an inspection today , I was told it would take 30-45 mins , and I waited over 2hrs even though there was little to no line. The workers named Lance and Gary demanded me to pay before my car was inspected. When my car was finally inspected and had passed the emission exam , worker Lance still tried to fail my car due to a tiny bump outside my front tire , he also claimed I would fail due to my fog light flashing with the turn signal while making a right turn, he also told me he should fail me for having dull tail lights and white bulbs in the rear turn signals. He said that It is an electrical problem and it would cost 1000s to fix even tho I told him these are part of the headlight assembly. Lance was also very rude and aggressive once I mentioned how after I paid him for the inspection , he found all these issues, and jacking prices to make extra money, he charged me $10 to put on my spare tire and made me remove my fog lights before giving me my inspection that I had already passed before these issues were discussed. I want future customers to be treated fairly and have The option to do work or not do work on future jobs before charged a fee. Prices should not be jacked up 3x the amount while an inspection is being done.

I've been taking my cars to Empire Auto for years. I recently started a restoration project with Gary and it's off to a great start. The guys are knowledgeable, honest and do outstanding work; which is not something you come across in the car business very often. Highly recommended!

I called a few days ago enquiring on getting a vehicle, that I'm planning on buying to be inspected to avoid purchasing a lemon.. He asked what the type of car and told him a Nissan Versa. The charge is $100. I can imagine what they charge for a BMW.. It so obvious Empire is worst place to take any ca forr any type is service. .

they are dis-honest The rear of my car was swerving on the highway a bit so I went here, they quoted me 2500$ to fix the shocks and struts in the rear of my car, with the control arms, I went to a different mechanic and they repaired the problem for 210$ and my car doesn t support at all anymore problem solved!Stay away!

Beyond me how this place does business or is profitable. OSHA, FDNY, and the city inspectors should take a look at this place for multiple violations they will find. Pretty dishonest workers/owners there at this establishment.

Worst shop i've ever been to, went there for inspection, failed because of tints on my windows, guy says we can remove them $75 each window then we'll redo inspection for free but if i removed myself i would have to pay $10 for re-inspection, i removed myself went back paid my $10, don't know how it took 30 minutes on initial inspection but less than 5 minutes for re-inspection, will never step foot in this place again, pls am begging you to do the same when thinking of a shop to go to. Thank you
