I can t even begin to express my gratitude for Dominic. I m in the process of looking to buy used car and I took the car to get inspected before purchase by Dominic. The car was from a nearby private dealership. Turn out they turned off the check engine light and the car would not pass inspection. Dominic was extremely professional and expressing the problem with both myself and the dealership employee who is with me. The entire process took less than an hour and cost $67.93 (credit card). He lifted drove the car first, then lifted the car to check under, checked the wheels, and checked the mechanics of the car. I would happily come again and would even use Dominic as my own mechanic if I lived in this area. What a great, no nonsense, straightforward, kind, and competent guy.

I cannot praise Dominic enough. He replaced a defective cigarette lighter socket and charged me the same amount as his very reasonable initial estimate, even though he also did some additional work in checking my car for any other defects. He declined my offer to pay him additionally, so all I could do is give him a modest tip.The work Dominic did required me to leave my car with him overnight, which gave me the opportunity to visit his garage twice. Not only did he always treat me courteously, I saw that he was the same with other customers and with his employees. On top of that, Dominic has a great sense of humor. I intend to return here whenever I need work on my car.

I have owned many cars and have been to many shops for work on my vehicles. Now Here is the difference Decarro auto repair does the right work at the right price. Class A shop very pleasent to deal with just great work. Speak to Dom what a mench (jewish for good person) A very good shop for auto service.Steven

I m glad someone recommended me this shop. Everyone is Respectful, professional and most importantly HONEST. They brought my Tesla back to life(03 Malibu) I appreciate them for taking the time to answer and explaining all the work they are going to do on the car.Definitely will continue to recommend this shop to everyone in Brooklyn south.

3 reactions you can always count on when you visit Dominick at DeCaro s Auto Repair : a friendly smile, a kind response and a willingness to help you with your car s problems/issues. I have been to DeCaro s several times in 2023 all for different reasons on an older vehicle- so pleased I kept going back. . Every time the response was met with the same characteristics described above . Dominick and his crew did a great job to solve all the needed repairs..Thank you for your service and being my go to for car issues.

What a breath of fresh air ! ! !A true gentleman who does not talk down to a women !I am sorry I did not ask his name :-/Today was my first visit to De Caro Auto Repair for an oil change.I called first and I was told I could come in within the hour.He also gave me the cost on the phone !When I arrived he took my Jeep right in. The service only took about 20 minutes. While my oil was draining he checked the pressure of all my tires !When he was finished with the oil change he said there was an error in the quoted cost, it was LOWER !How many places do you know that will be that honest ?Great personality, Great and prompt service and best of all HONEST !I highly recommend this small but efficient and well-organized shop.I will definitely be going back. I will also recommend this shop to EVERYONE I know ! ;-)Service: Oil change

DeCaro s is owner supervised and you will find Dominic the owner also getting his hands dirty working on cars. I trust no one now with my truck and plan on keeping it running for 200,000 miles with the help of Dominic and his staff. A true gem of a find in the heart of Brooklyn. Fortunate and blessed to have found this mechanic shop. Being new to the neighborhood I was definitely overwhelmed with the amount of mechanics and mechanic shops this area has to offer looking through the reviews of different places and it wasn't too hard to choose this place as they had a ton of 5 star reviews and sounded like my type of place. Domenick was accommodating and very professional and had my car out of there in no time. Got a full synthetic oil change this time and I'm definitely coming back here for all my mechanic work. Thank you guys and stay safe 3 months later still best shop to take your car for all needs!!

It was great. Went here for rotor/brake pad replacement(had my own parts). Reasonably priced and he (I'm guessing the owner) gave the price over the phone. It took a bit longer than the time frame they gave me. I actually had to call to check up on them.

Top Notch care, the best prices around and THE Best service this girl has ever had with any auto repairs! DeCaro's can fix any problems with your automobile. Looking for an honest, reliable, professional mechanic well I found one in De Caro Auto Repair. Been in Brooklyn all my life have never truly found that neighborhood mechanic where you bring your car in and you never question the services or the price for that service, so grateful to my brother Michael for finding Dom. He is a great Mechanic and extremely fair and reliable. Great, friendly service and fair prices!!4 year update:Had to switch because the service stopped being AS reliable. My car started to click and they didn't want to find a reason. A new mechanic (and family friends) confirmed that it was because old/bad oil was used in the car and the only place I took my car was DeCaro. Do I know 8f it was them, no. But no one else touched the car2 year update:Still there. Still super freaking happy.

De Caro did oil change on our Honda, professionally , affordably (cheaper than competition.. less than $50 for synthetic oil change) and quickly (30-45 minutes). I called a few hours in advance to ask the best time to arrive. The gentleman (owner?) was polite and honest. He told me the car was in fine shape, and checked the brakes and a belt and transmission fluid. De Caro told me all were fine (unlike another place nearby that tried to upsell me that I'd soon need to "change the timing belt" -- turns out this year of Honda has a timing chain not a belt, which this De Caro guy knew right away). The vibe was straightforward. The neighborhood is residential, quiet street with a few car repair place in small garages like this one. The best mechanic around. I have always had used cars that I keep for years so a reliable, honest mechanic is very important to me. Needless to say, when my longtime mechanics closed, I was extremely nervous. Unbelievably the owner, Domenick, is not only as honest as my old mechanic, but charges reasonable prices, performs superior work, and actually will inform you of the least expensive option to complete the job. If you are looking for a mechanic, read this review but don't try them out, you are doing yourself a disservice. Period.

I have 2 cars and went there few times to do oil changed/ brake pads changed and inspection. The Boss and staffs are very nice. Excellent services and reasonable prices.Highly recommended.
