They wasted my time. I brought my car over there for a check up. The guy told me to wait he s gonna call me in one hour. I waited for more than three hours No call nothing and finally he called me to come that they couldn t check my car that I should come back in five days and put them on. They gonna charge you $80 just to check your car while other places will charge you less than $50.

I came here about 2-3 weeks ago to get one headlight replaced. I already purchased replacement bulbs and just needed one installed. The mechanic told me it would be $60.When I asked if he was serious, he goes on to ask me what my line of work is in like I was being disrespectful knowing he was overcharging me. I literally drove down the street and paid someone outside AutoZone to replace it for $20.I m sure they do great work based on other reviews, but this interaction makes me not trust coming here for other work. Being a woman, I m more wary of being overcharged when it comes to car work especially when I at least know what prices I d expect to pay.

Went in for my yearly inspection. in and out in under 25 minutes. But will not return to this shop ever again due to questionable business tactics when I tried to get my car repaired recently. There are certain mechanics who believe women can be taken advantage of and charged more money. For this purpose alone I will not support this shop nor will I refer them to anyone I know. I will not be surprised if they try to defend their actions after reading this review.

Best Auto Repair Shop in BROOKLYN. Hands down. To find a good place to repair your ride is like finding a reliable barber(feel me). But not only will they take care of your car...they take care of your wallet too. Last week, I went there expecting to break the bank. Tell me why they had me spending only 40 bucks...lol And, my car has been floating ever since. So glad I found this place. My old mechanic was a straight up crook. Never again. Coys Auto Repair gets a FIVE STAR SPECIAL.

My nephew's car broke down while visiting from out of state. Coys Auto Repair performed all necessary repairs and maintenance within a few hours to get his car back up and running so that he could get back home. All for a reasonable price considering they performed service without an appointment.

RIP-OFF!!! I took my car in for inspection. It s supposed to be $35. He charged me $100 more just to change my brake lights which were working just fine when I took it in. He said he was also charging me for rotating the tires. Really!?! When I asked him to give me a bill itemizing what he SUPPOSEDLY fixed, he got upset. Really!?! What a RIP-OFF!!!How do I fight this? You can never fight things in NYC. You ll always end up lose and in the process adding even more stress to living in this city. Especially in Brooklyn.

I ve never written a negative review before this one.In the middle of a pandemic when most businesses are cashless and only accepting cards. I take my car in for the yearly inspection. When I arrived all over their business they post that they accept both cash and major cards. Without warning me that they only accept cash for inspections, they finished the inspection and then refused to accept my credit card and instead hold my car keys hostage and asked me to go walk to the nearest atm (which wasn t my parent bank) to go get cash and pay the atm fee and non bank fee ($5.50 total). I had cash on me but not enough. Had I known I would have left to get cash before they started work on my car, as my nearest bank was 7 blocks away or simply left and gotten the inspection done the following day as it was close to closing for them. Explain to me how it makes sense that I should pay close to 15% in fees to take out my own cash just to pay them because they had an unwritten rule that they accept cards for everything but inspections?Furthermore, there is always something going on on Utica Ave (where they are located), I never walk that strip alone, hence why I have a car so I don t have to. When I explained that as a young lady by herself, I didn t feel comfortable doing so I was told to pay for an Uber or get in a dollar van to go to my bank if I was that concerned about not paying the bank fees and not having to walk it. This totally defeats the purpose and principle behind me feeling that I shouldn t have to spend more money just to go get cash when that wasn t made clear before they started the inspection.I tried reasoning with them, and offered to Zelle Pay or Cash App any of the employees $40 so I could then use that cash to pay for the service. Rather then listen to understand, they were listening to respond and assumed I was trying to pay for the service via those apps even though I tried explaining to them multiple times that as an accountant I understood that mixing business and personal money should not be done and that was not what I was proposing.Ultimately after much back and forth, they decided to only charge me $35 instead of the $37 to help cover some of the atm fees, when ultimately the ideal goal should have been that already rich banks shouldn t have gotten $5.50 for no reason. Neither of us should have lost on this transaction. While it is a nominal amount, it s not about the amount of money but it s the principle. I give more than that in tips for other things but it should be my decision to pay more for a service than I have to, not theirs. Don t punish your customers and force them to pay more to pay for your services in cash if you don t have any signs posted up warning them of these one off exceptions which is due to your lack of foresight.Thinking back I should have just offered to leave my iPhone with them in exchange for my car key as collateral so they would feel more confident that I would come back so I could just drive to my bank and get the cash but that experience was just very disappointing. The inspection was done quickly and professionally I will give them that, but how the payment aspect of it was handled was unnecessary and could have been avoided. It is the only reason why I m giving it 2 stars and not the 1.

Very nice, kind, honest guy. I'm so happy i got my car fixed in this place. Other places offered me 350$ and 260$ to fix my car. He did the job with only 200$, he did great job in very short time.

I have been repairing my car with Coys auto shop for the past 4 years which alone speaks in volume about their service. I've had horrible experiences previously with making attempts to repair my car with other repair shops. Coys repair shop built an entire new engine for my car in addition to many other repairs and maintenance care needed for my car and has truly changed my outlook on auto shops for the better. The service is exceptional in short. -A.B.

I never leave reviews but these people are TERRIBlE, they are scammers. DO NOT GO FOR INSPECTION! They would find a little thing on your car just to fail you. They lie that they remove tires to check when they actually don t. Parking light was intake both brakes and signals. Stop SCAMMING people.

These people are 100% unprofessional. They quote one price over the phone and the up charge in person. STAY AWAY or get price in WRITING FIRST. they are so disrespectful and the older gentleman also very disrespectful. These people scam and are frauds. If I were u I would stay away or risk getting ur money taken. Also they prefer cash because they don t want to have a paper trail of what they are doing. If I were u stay away. YOUVE BEEN WARNED. Don't ever go at this place this is horrible , they will robed you without knowing that, they will charge you and not fix your car .they will broke your car. I don't suggest anybody to get robe like me. I definitely will complaint at DMV FOR THEM. Worst experience ever. They're not professional in what they doing.

all the light is good before I doing inspection on here but after they used machine doing work on my car, the left headlights , right parking light and the plates light was not working, I said I know the headlights still working on last night than he did the same work and the headlights was working, and I still need to pay 30 for lefts two bulbs. bandits !!! Never come in again ~

The dealer quoted me close to $2200 for a new Engine computer and to program a key. Coy's did the job for less than half the price. Very reasonable and fast . Ask for Conrad he is great explaining things.

I USUALLY DONT WRITE REVIEWS!! THIS PLACE IS THE WORST!! STAY AWAY!!! If you want you vehicle back In a timely manner and working do not take it here, I brought my car here with parts for a 10 hour job it has been 4 working days and they didn't even get half way through the job, the owner is a liar, there is only one barely skilled tech

These guys are horrible business. They do not have anything in order. The guys act as if they know what they are doing but are incompetent to complete the job. They stay with your car indefinitely and overcharge you. Stay away from this company. They are not running a legit space. Do more research and find a more respectable shop.

Great work and good prices. I had a bad experience with another shop then took my Infinity there and since it has been runing much better. Always good bad periodically and they never over charge. I have reccomend them to my pastor and dentist and they thank me whenever I see them.
