My first and only place I go to get my oil change. Every month I m always greeted with respect and help with what I need to get done and what can wait ..I have 3 years coming here without an issue we can t fix ..the upgrade the waiting room so it s more people friendly with unlimited keurig coffe ,tv and outlets and phone adapters everywhere is why I stay and wait I recommend coming here so don t knock it till you try it

I've been coming here since I got my license 16 years ago. Over the years as I got to know automobiles better, I've realized how much of a scam this place is. I recently had a sour experience that was the final straw, and I refuse to come here anymore.I went in firstly, to fix my car's front radar because my car's dash was showing ACC / LKAS / RDM errors. Secondly, I had alternator whine in my car's audio system that was causing a high-pitched whining when the car was accelerating/decelerating. The rep that I spoke with upon dropping off my car, didn't seem to understand what alternator whine is, and didn't mention it at all in the work order. He mentioned that there was a diagnostic fee of $420 (using post-tax numbers here) for any repairs not covered under warranty, and that they would charge this regardless of whether they fixed the issue or not.STRIKE 1During the day, I get a message saying that the front radar connection was loose, and that they would charge $620 to re-calibrate it. They also tried to charge me $140 to replace my cabin air filter citing that it was dirty, but I literally replaced it myself the month before so I knew damn well it wasn't dirty. And seriously, $140 to replace a cabin filter? This was absolute nonsense.STRIKE 2Fast forward to the end of the day, I get a call from a mechanic, Edwin, saying that my car was ready. I go back close to closing time to pay a little over $1000 after taxes, and get my car back. Immediately after starting the engine, the alternator whine problem started. The mechanic's note in the invoice said that there was no whining noise and they tried to blame it on my aftermarket intake.Additionally, they charged 3 hours of labor to re-calibrate the front radar. Mind you, the main issue was that the radar wiring was loose, and that was the reason they had to calibrate it. I looked at my dash cam's footage of their work. A single mechanic took less than 15 minutes to do the calibration, reset some codes, and then went on a 2 mile drive to reset the sensors. They then have the audacity to charge 3 hours ($620 with tax) for that labor? It costs that much to fix a loose wire on a radar???STRIKE 3The next day, I got a call from Jessica from the parts department asking me how the appointment went. I told her that they completely ignored the alternator whine issue and didn't even try to diagnose it. She told me she would have Edwin contact me to further discuss the issue.I never heard back from them again.STRIKE 4Bay Ridge Honda - you've lost a lifelong customer.Everyone else, support your local independent mechanics, or go to another Honda service shop. This one ain't it.

Stopped here to get a part for my 2018 accord but the guys are too busy doin nothing to gimme what I need. They basically feel like it s too much from the customer to ask for them to do their job ! Absolutely rude people and they don t wanna help you out just because they don t feel like it. So I came in for a fuse and I ve been waiting first in line for the past 40 minutes

I used this location for oil change/maintenance for a number of years only because the location is convenient for me. Horrible service. Why make an appointment for a certain time only to sit there for 4-5 hrs and wait for a simple oil change? Last time, I needed tire balance and alignment. They did a horrible job ( I suspect they just rotated the tyres and never performed the requested services). That was the last time I used them. Next time, I'll go somewhere else

We have been coming here for several years and always had an excellent experience with Honda Services. Our service advisor was Susan Jogie and she was extremely helpful. She took the time to give us a clear explanation of the repairs that were needed and has always given us a good deal. She also quickly returned any calls and stayed in contact to let us know when the car would be ready to pick up. Highly recommend!Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Air conditioning, Brake service & repair, Oil change

I dont understand the lack of respect. Why such terrible service. I called looking for some caliper bracket bolts. I didn't have the Vin number for the car at hand, but I had the year make and model. They just hung up on me. I called 3 times , and they hung up. Why? If im correct , they think I'm wasting their time or something? Now, I wasted my time writing this review and complaining online. They couldn't answer my questions ? Couldn't they check and say no/yes? Isn't it their job!?! Honestly, I am so upset! The customer service at the parts department sucks along with their attitude.

I came in on a Monday with an appointment. Had to wait 20 minutes in a car line just to get into the dealership and check in. There are multiple dealerships at this location but only one entrance way so it seems like they over book. Had to wait another 30 minutes waiting on line to see a Honda service advisor. By this time I was very frustrated but Edwin Chiong was the saving grace. He was helpful and polite and understanding even though I was upset for having to wait so long. He also solved my issue quickly and called me as soon as he was done to pick up the car. He is the reason this review is so high because my time at Honda Service started off really rough.

Had a great experience. Maria was super nice and helpful, she explained everything and always answered and returns calls. Drop off and pickup was extremely fast and efficient. My only thing is that I had to leave car for 2 full days as needed new part, would be better if they d have the parts in stock. But overall very pleasant experience.

Very bad unprofessional service: changed oil and filled it above the permitted level; I left my car for diagnostic, they returned it with work already done and charged me for that without my permission for this kind of work; they cut a piece of my wheel arch protection without my consent.

I brought my Honda CRV 2020 to Honda Bay Ridge for a simple OIL Change, they scratched the paint and paint it with a brush, living it horrible. When we found out, 4 days later, we came back and they refuse to help. the first 3 people accepted their fault and offered ways to resolve paying half the repair, when we spoke to Manager, he refused to help at all and denied all offers received before. This is a SCAM. i had a brand new car and now it looks very bad where they damaged it. The worst it that they returned the car and didn't tell us what they did, even they did a small fix on it, it looks horrible. I will sue them since they refuse to be responsible for it.Service: Oil change

First time using it since buying my car from Bay Ridge Honda. I had 2 alerts on my car, for oil change and transmission fluid change. When I got there I told them what my car said and I was told I didn t need the transmission fluid done so technically don t pay attention to the message on the car. Then I mentioned how my car sometimes stalls when I accelerate and that I looked up if that was a problem with Honda Odysseys and that they mentioned how this happens a lot. I was dismissed and was told that it s only in the 16-17 pilots that it happens yet there is a big class action lawsuit in California for this reason but if I needed that checked out I would have to make an appointment. I m there already why can t they check it now. Service was quick which is great. Not sure why they didn t want to check out the car, I have Honda care and pay extra on my car note so I don t run into problems but upon my first use I ran into a problem. It was a good and bad experience so that s why I gave it 3 stars.Service: Oil change

I was using this location for almost 12 years and didn t have any issues, but last time it was my bad luck because for the first time ever I met advisor Roberto. If you go there try to avoid him, because he is lying to customers about services they need, to rip off more money from them. I had an awful customer service experience today. I arrived at the service department and waited on the red line for over 10 minutes for someone to assist me, but no one offered to assist me. I walked up to Susan and explained the service I need. She showed her attitude because she was too busy communicating with her coworkers before I went up to her. I ended up leaving without my vehicle repair. I will NEVER come here to repair.

I was a bit wary to schedule my maintenance at this location because of some reviews, but happy to say it was a really seamless experience! I scheduled my appointment online, they called me when my car was ready (took about 2 hours), and then they called me the next day to see if I was satisfied with service or had any questions.

Staff are very polite and well mannered. I am definitely glad i get my vehicle serviced with them.(update 12/8/21) Especially Susan J. She is very Helpful and always going above and beyond to make sure i have a pleasant experience

This service center is full of problems, be very vigilant if you end up there.I needed state inspection, oil change, brake fluid flush and rear breaks needed to be checked for pitting on the disk.Car had 12,000 miles.Rep called back and said that rear break pads were worn out almost completely and needed to be changed, he also said break disk needs to be resurfaced and quoted over $400 for the job.I refused the work as there was no way that break pads were worn out.They forgot inspection.They did the oil change, and brake flush.Once I got the car I took off rear wheels and checked break pads, both rear pads were 80%. In fact Honda estimates they will last 36,000 miles.So they openly lied about worn pads.I then checked if break fluid was flushed.Rubber covers that cover connectors one would need to take off were covered in dust and there was no evidence that they were removed to connect equipment for the flush. Once I removed one of the connectors it was dry inside. So they lied that flush was performed.I then checked break fluid reservoir under the hood and found that its cap was left open.So I have to assume they did what many people before said they do, they opened the break fluid reservoir and replaced break fluid in the reservoir only and did not replace fluid in the lines as they should.Break fluid absorbs water so it is very important that reservoir is closed and not exposed to air. Leaving it open will cause damage to the system.Do not believe what they say and confirm the issue yourself or with third party. These people lie and when I confronted the manager about this, person who told me about my break pads being worn out disappeared and manager was completely evasive.Be very careful or avoid them altogether.

Plaza Honda on Nostrand TRIED to rob me by telling me I needed 6000$ worth of damage. Turned out all I needed was a wheel alignment.JAMAL, hear at Bay ridge along with the ppl behind the counters are GREAT ppl! HONEST n nice! Beware of Susan Jogie! Brought my Honda in for a diagnostic check up. Waited 2 weeks for the service date, and upon arriving I was told that I would have to leave it with them for 2 days (after waiting 2 weeks for the appointment date this was a little surprising) but I understand things are busy and generally understaffed so it was fine. Once the diagnosis was complete I called Susan to walk me through the more pressing issues and how safety and vehicle life would be compromised and wow, she gave me sooo much attitude for asking these questions. Most of the time she kept alluding to I don t know that s for the technician to figure out then I m sorry but what is your actual purpose, Susan? I work in medicine and if a patient had questions about what surgery was going to be done on their spouse, I would wholly accept and answer the questions they have because they are valid, especially when auto-work is so expensive and unregulated in NY already. In any case after several nasty conversations with her I picked my car up 3 days later with the check engine light still flashing, new sounds emitting from my car, tire pressure all out of wack and my wiper fluid (which I had filled prior to service) completely empty. I immediately called her extension to explain my problem, she ignored me for 4 days until I called again and asked to be placed with a new representative. I now have to take my car back for another diagnostic check because I truly don t believe the work was done and possibly ignored out of spite. I paid a very pretty penny for the supposed work, but my overall experience with Susan Jogie; her lack of professionalism, incredibly belittling tone and constant air of annoyance is a grief that the people of NY can certainly do without. I intend on speaking with a manager at my next appointment and will hopefully have my representative switched, because she will make this process harder and more expensive for her own benefit. Deeply frustrated and will never return to this location again.

I came here for multiple inspections and my advisor was George. So mechanics found out that my wheel bearings were broken. I waited for 6hours which is not an issue because it was not an easy job. When i drove back home , my car was great and had no issue anymore because they fixed the problem. However, after 4 days i found out that they didn't do their job rotating my tires. I was billed for tire rotation and didnt even touch it. How unprofessional is that.So, beware folks, if you are coming here for maintenance, dont do it here because you dont know if they are really doing their job.Also, reminder check your car before you leave. Mark your wheels if you gona do tire rotation so you know if they really rotate them properly.I trusted them so much at first but not anymore.Update:So George told me he is going to call me the next day and after next day got no call and no answers for my message. Called this place again multiple times and he isnt answering.

They should get no stars!!! The black guy in finance with the weird name was very unprofessional. Went to him on a family referral and tried to get a car however he was clearly on playing games though supposedly married. When confronted, he denied it. Tried to use another finance person since they already ran my credit, however was apparently blackballed and they stopped answering my calls. It was a blessing in disguise and I will NEVER do business with them and will continue to tell ANYONE and EVERYONE not to do business with same!! Trash and no Integrity!!!!!

Good thing I didn't have to pay for these services but to know that they put down on paper that they did a tire rotation and never even changed a tire it's at 10,000 miles and not once have I got a tire rotation the scams. After I bring it up to them that I marked my tires then they want to say I didn't need them so if that's the case why charge for service they didn't preform.Service: Oil change

I give only 4 because of the price. But the costumer service is really good, and friendly. In the last 3 weeks I had to go back 4 times ( I did not have much time) and they said 1 hour that was 1 hour! not 2 or 3.. If you have a Honda and you walk in to the office , try to get Vanessa ! She is awesome, helps you a lot and she is the most friendly in the office. :)

SCAM ARTISTS (Elaine in particular)...BEWARE OF UNAUTHORIZED UPSELL AFTER YOU LEAVE THE PREMISES!!Went here the other day for a recall repair. Also needed my oil change and tires rotated. Total cost with labor quoted at $95 dollars, which was fine. Five hours later I get a call from Elaine who tells me that a couple other things needed to be fixed and that they could do it for $250 all in, I just needed to call back to confirm. I never called back. When I went to pick up my car Elaine was gone and they tried to charge me$250 for work that was NEVER authorized.First they tell me that there was nothing that could be done because Elaine wasn't there. I said that was unacceptable. Then they tell me that only a manager can approve a change to the bill and no managers were present at the time. After complaining/waiting for over 30 minutes, they finally tell me they won't charge me for the extra work.The worst part about this scheme is how poorly they do it. I have a voicemail from Elaine asking if I want the work done at 5:45. Yet the receipt shows that the work was "approved the customer" 3 hours earlier. Unbelievable. A formal complaint with the BBB and HONDA CORPORATE will follow.

I can't speak for the Honda service but the VW service is alright. Been coming here for the mileage maintenance and there is some peace of mind in terms of them doing things by manufacturer specifications and using OEM parts.The one negative experience I had was when they broke the mirror switch in my car and would not admit that it was them that did it. I've been coming here for years and I know their valets play with the settings to park the cars. They offered to replace the switch but I would have to foot the bill on labor which I personally thought was not right. I ended up going elsewhere to get that fixed because I did not want to pay for something I did not break. Why would I lie about something like that? Why wouldn't their valet own up to breaking the switch?

I would like to say that service in general is good, but, the last 3 times that I have been there after that they called me to tell me my car is ready and after I already paid for the service between check out and finally delivered my car they always keep me waiting at least 20 minutes in the cold outside

Whether you call or see them in person, it feels like you are bothering them. In my 3 experiences the people I spoke to were extremely curt and acted as if I worked there to understand terminology. I wish I didn t have to deal with them but here we are

The best thing about this place is the guys who take your car initially but after that it goes downhill. Susan Susan just needs to go. I actually can t wait to see her later to tell her a couple things :). Next, the guy next to her gianivo or whatever his name is. A completeeee liar or just dense. If he promises you something over the phone just record it because when you re with him in person he loses all memory and your made to look crazy. For a quick oil change even when you re the first one there, they take several hours for whatever reason. If you come here just expect for your morning to be ruined or for someone to give you unnecessary attitude as if you re forcing them to do their job. 1/10 you ll have a great experience here.
