I had a really pleasant experience with front desk Associate Mikah and my technician Antonio both were class acts. My vehicle is still pending some work and not all has gone as expected but I have faith all will be completed safely and reliably. This east treamont location has a good professional staff.

Went in today for new tires and alignment it was brought to my attention that my break light was out. I was appreciative this was discovered. The manager Zack explained everything in detail. The technician was friendly he updated me on the work performed. The staff was professional and friendly. Took slightly longer than I would have liked but otherwise great service. Will visit again. Kathy

Scammed and probably because I was a female walking into pep boys. Went in thinking I just needed a tire alignment .. they came back and said I needed $1600 worth of work I left to get a second opinion from a mechanic from my home town.. ended just needing a new tire with an alignment which only cost me $400 AND even got an oil change w that price. SCAMM! Never going here and that s why they are getting one star. Probably happened because I was a female. Don t let them fool ya.

Mind boggling how business that built on littely like scamMy shock has to be changed, I stop by was thinking they sell parts as they used before.They said only services .I ask how much to changes the shockThey claims that I have to bring my car for them to check if need the shock and the visit will cost me 34.99So I will paying $38++( when added tax) just hear the cost ....In fact , the best quickest money they can make just by estimating %$$$$$$.And will make me leave without fixing anything.Loose loose situation for consumer.Win win situation for pep boys.Of course only if they find fouls to bring them their vehicles .This practice should never be allowed by nyc .

Waste of time!!! This store was unprepared for my booked appointment. I had to leave TWICE (once when I arrived and once when I picked up my vehicle) just to get material that should've been in the store. Only good note was that my mechanic was helpful and friendly. The service counter was horrible.

ZERO stars please!Took my car in for a few things including an oil change, they never even bothered checking my concerns. I asked the guy at the front desk, "did you check my battery?" His reply was "battery works", that was lie! My battery is completely drained every morning and my car doesn't turn on. They never checked it, and they don't care. Drove to Autozone, they checked it and battery needed to be replaced. Oil change should have taken no more than an hour, they gave me my car back 7 hrs later. I called a few times to check-in on the status, their reply "I'll call you back" but they never did. I picked up my car 7 hrs later in the evening. I walk over to where they park their cars, a very dingy parking lot with no lights and I see a weird homeless person standing by my car. He runs off as soon as he sees my car lights flash on. I get inside my car with my child and I realize my car doors were never locked. To no surprise, the homeless man standing by my car had vandalized my car, stole a pair of gloves and my driving sun glasses. I walk back to pep boys to complain, the men shrugs his shoulders and says "it is not our fault!" How is that possible, in their procession and property? Terrible. No one ever even called me to check-in with me on this issue. They clearly dont care!! Stay far away from this dangerous location lacking in customer service. That homeless man could have attacked me or my son. My belongings were never replaced. I did not even receive an apology!

I usually love going to Pep boys but my regular location is at Connors Street in the Bronx where they closed it down and I had to go to the other Bronx location. I took my car in and the representative was nice but I just felt that they weren't making sure my car was taken care of and didn't listen to my concerns. I needed new brakes and agreed to it. I also needed two new tires because there were bubbles in the ones I had so I just opted for all four considering it was buy three get 1 free. There was a notification on my screen that said you have to check the tires. I went to the front desk to voice my concerns and he stated that I just needed to drive around and.it would reset. The next day driving to work it still was stating my car had an issue with the tires. I had to stop at a gas station and put more air in the tire and wasted a half hour trying to find out which tire was the issue. If the issue was handled when I first asked them I would have wasted so much time. I am not sure if I will be going back to that Pep boy location.

I was disappointed by the experience based upon having a 10am appointment for my vehicle to be serviced. I did not get my keys back until 439pm and the service was not rendered since the mechanic was going home for the day even though my vehicle arrived at 930am. Now Javier did his best to assist but it still left a bad taste in regards to the workflow of this location. So I cannot recommend this particular location for the Pep Boys brand.

Worst pep boys ever. Don t even waste your time making an appointment. My mom made a 4:30pm appointment and about an hour later, her car was still in the parking lot. She asked Orlando how much longer it would take since she has to meet her mom after dialysis and he said another hour or a little over. She then asked what is the point of making an appointment and he replied with so we don t turn you down when you come in . There was no empathy or consideration for the wait. He spoke to her as if she s the one who needs them.She asked for her keys back a few minutes later and left. Orlando told her to try to come back earlier tomorrow so it could be done but she just left. There was a fellow customer who stated her appointment was at 2:30pm and by 5pm, she was still waiting. Don t waste your time.

Went to get tires replaced, had to do 3 different appointments, and was told that I would get called back. Never got a call back. When they finally took the vehicle in, I was quoted a price, but when I went to pick it up (6 hours later than the quoted time), that price was increased by $300!! When I received my vehicle, I was missing a valve cap for one of my tires. Highly discourage anyone from going to do their service here!!!

Great experience. Fast and did exactly what I asked without any hard sell or anything I didn't need. I am very fastidious with my car and normally DIY for everything except certain things like mounting tires that I can't do myself. A previous mechanic shop damaged my tire pressure monitoring system (TMPS) sensor. I asked Pep Boys to replace the sensors with ones I purchased from Toyota. They replaced the TPMS Sensors in the way I asked and allowed me to do the ECM update with my scan tool. Great folks working the desk and the mechanics did a nice job. Keep up the good work.

Idk what it is with this place. I bring in my car and ask for TWO things.. they go ahead and do 5 major jobs costing $1400 more than what I asked for, and they FORGOT to do one of the things I asked for. SURE they fixed everything in the end but its always an expensive headache here. Be ready to unload your bank account if you need to come here. Better finding a reliable small shop anywhere else.That second thing I asked for, was simply adding pressure to the tires. Just pulled off and checked the tire pressure and they re all too low. Still have tire pressure warning.

I needed a a tire because one had a bubble after a pot hole I ran over. I waited 2 hours for them to tell me I needed 4 tired since they were different sizes and they wanted to add that I needed other items like shocks etc. I said give me the 4 tires only, then they tell me that it won't get done today. So now I will drive off fearing my life and my child who is with me.

When scheduling I selected wheel alignment check and it said the cost is free. No mention of any requirements to receive "free" alignment.So I come in for my appointment and the first issue is he does not think he has anyone that can do the job.... Appointments should be monitored for things like this, there are 3 workers in the back just hanging out. It's empty. Looks like bad management. Then there's the catch. It's not free....34.99.Should have honored the ad. I have 1 car that definitely needs an alignment and perhaps a 2nd. And now firestone is doing the check and the alignment on the other. Hopefully that goes well. Also pep emails me for not coming to the appointment. Really? Never again. Ironically, as I am leaving they have a sign that outlines free services.....Yea right.Reviewers: As you can see there is a response from Pep Boys, and I sent my contact info which leads to another lead. Games. That's not an effective way to show that it really matters. If you as a company were interested you'd reach me or make it easy to be reached. Guess these tactics start at the top and reflects at the store level. I went to firestone on Boston Rd. $189 lifetime wheel alignment. Took 3 cars. Can't beat it if you'll have your car at least 2yrs.

This shop is all that I use. Been a customer for years. But recently they did my breaks and ever since my car swerves when I apply the breaks. Went to another shop to fix my coolant hose and the mechanic stated that the last shop to work on my car left everything loose. Going tomorrow 3/15/24 for oil change/headlight bulb change. Hope they give free inspection.

I went to pep boys located on 2633 E Tremont Ave, Bronx, NY 10461 because i had purchased tires through tirebuyer and had chosen this location for installation of the tires. I dropped off the car on December 6,2023 at 8:00 am although my appointment was supposed to be later, and added that i would also need an alignment after the tires were installed. At 8:56 am i was called and told that the CV axle was broken and had to be replaced or else the alignment would not hold for very long. I agreed to the repair, the order included the purchase and installation of 2 sway bar links, a cv axle, and the alignment. I never got a call to pick up the car but i followed the link sent to my cellphone and picked up the car around 4:00pm. Once i picked up the car the TPMS light was illuminated which had not previously been illuminated at drop off, the system was working properly before the drop off and the steering wheel was not centered- the steering wheel went of to the right while the car drifted to the left. I called back the next morning, December 7, 2023, around 10:11 am to advise them about the existing issues after i drove the car to work and they told me to bring the car back whenever was convenient without appointment. I dropped the car off that same day in the evening around 4:30 pm and was told that the tech who did the work was not in so i had to wait until the next day. i left my car there over night. i called the next morning, Friday , December 8, 2023, at 9:04 am and the rep who answered the phone had no idea the car was there even though I had left my keys and explained the night before. The rep who attended me this morning put me on hold, and I assume advised the technicians, and then told me he would call me back. I did not receive a call back, but two hours, 11:04 am, later i called them back and the rep had said that they had "completed the alignment" but that 2 of my sensors had "dead batteries." I found it hard to believe that the sensors were working well before i had dropped my car off but no longer worked after they had "serviced" them during the tire change. Besides me having to go back because they did not complete a service i had paid for ,the alignment, they had also managed to damage the sensors and not take accountability.

Was told i needed $3,000 because of a slight noise i was hearing coming from my vehicle and was told the reason it was sounding like that. That same day I got my vehicle inspected at a nissan dealership and the sound that my car was making was due to a loose engine air filter housing which was shaking when i was driving and making noise. They definitely wasnt doing their job , a waste of money inspecting my car and being upsold on things that wasn t wrong with my car.

1st time there.. and was very please with my services... Orlando took the time to explain the whats and WHYs of the work I needed, and not once did I feel like I was being cheated.Will be a repeat customer, for sure!

If I could leave zero stars I would. Horrible customer service, employees here work slower and are even less charismatic than the ones at the dmv, which I didn t think was possible. I went in simply trying to get them to fix my windshield wipers, which were installed incorrectly to begin with at a different pep boys. The woman attending me informed me it would be a 2 hour wait because they only had 1 technician available.

I had an 8:00 appointment for an oil change and to replace a blinker bulb. It took 15 minutes of being on line, and about 10 minutes to get my vehicle checked in. The manager checking me in, Patrick, was not efficient. He did not seem to look at my appointment information, and continued to ask me questions about my information, my vehicle, and the services needed; then proceeded to misspell my information. I kept checking on the status of my vehicle only to be told 'we have a lot of cars we didn't finish yesterday, it's going to be a long wait, your car isn't in the shop yet.' My vehicle did not get into the shop until 10:30, ultimately, scheduling an appointment didn't matter. When my car was finally finished at 11:30, they were very slow to check me out. Patrick began a conversation about another vehicle after I had paid and was waiting for my key.During my visit, I didn't get my usual text/email updates with my vehicle's status either.

My first (and last) visit at this Pepboys was to get my tires changed on 11/17. I was told the wait would be 4 hours and then it turned out to be 6 hours. Not a big deal for me, but changing tires does not take 6 hours.Besides that experience, I was called while they had my car and they told me they had to install new lug nuts because the originals were no good. I okayed this because the tires were needed. Now over a month later, I am getting my break pads changed by a mechanic that I am familiar with and he tells me I have wheel locks. I never installed wheel locks myself and never had anyone do that for me. Come to find out, Pepboys on East Tremont installed wheel locks along with the lug nuts and DIDN'T EVEN LEAVE THE KEY IN MY CAR????!!!! I don't understand why this was done and its honestly laughable, the person who worked on my car is Orlando (don't recommend as he will do things to your car and then not tell you???).I was able to get the key for the wheel locks thanks to Patrick, which is who the only star is for as he helped plenty with this matter.

I went to get my tires for my vehicle this morning at Pep Boys on Tremont avenue in the Bronx.. I asked the guy at the desk about some reliable tires. He said that since all tires are basically the same I should get copper tires. He informed me that it'll be buy 3 get 1 free. I agreed. About an hour and a half later he called me to the counter and said they didn't have but 3 copper tires in stock and added that I would be getting kumho tires instead. I questioned the reliability of these tires, again I was told that they are all the same. I asked for other brands of tires and was informed that that I could be offered was kumho tires. Agreed with reservations about doing business here. I returned to the FILTHY waiting area. As I looked around at the balled up used tissue on the floor as well as the large liquid stains all over the floor I decided- after about a two hour wait to get my car and go elsewhere. after reading some of these reviews Im glad I did!! When they returned my key Realized that after 2 hours my vehicle was never even touched. YALL WERE NOT ABOUT TO PLAY WITH ME AND MY HARD EARNED MONEY TODAY.. I went elsewhere and offered the tires I originally wanted and was out of there in less than 2 hours.

Their attitude toward customers was dismissive, leaving me feeling like an inconvenience rather than a valued client.Furthermore, the repairs performed on my vehicle were subpar at best. Not only did they fail to fix the initial problem, but they also managed to introduce new issues that were not present before. It seemed as though they were more interested in rushing through the repairs rather than ensuring they were done correctly. This lack of attention to detail and sloppy workmanship is inexcusable.To make matters worse, Pep Boys displayed a complete disregard for honesty and integrity. Upon receiving my vehicle back, I discovered that they had charged me for services they never performed. This blatant dishonesty only added to my frustration and disappointment with their overall service.In conclusion, my experience with Pep Boys was an absolute disaster. LISTEN TO THIS Obscenity !!I brought my van to Pep Boys on Tremont Ave in the Bronx on Thursday evening. They did NOT diagnose the repairs needed UNTIL Tuesday afternoon the following week!When questioned on why so long? They stated they could not touch the van until they received all the parts first And now because of the thanksgiving day holiday. Pep Boys couldn t give me an eta on when the parts would come in. Carlos the rep mentioned that it could possibly take an addition week or TWO!Not withstanding this turmoil! They parked my van on a POORLY lit outside parking lot at night on their property. On Sunday evening, I received a call from Zack, who informed me that my van was broken into .The back window was smashed & the thieves stole all my tools inside my van.When I asked what they could do for me? They told me to file a police report. They could not do anything else for me As of today I am still waiting for my van to be worked on. It s Wednesday , almost 7 days later with no end in sight!I highly recommend that you think twice if not three time before you take your vehicle to PEP BOYS!!!Frank ..
