Coming here for years I needed front end work along with two tires and the price was reasonable and work was done quick with no issues make sure you ask for Ray. I ve never had a bad experience. Quick and fast inspections also!

*THEY STOLEN MY CAR BATTERY*I HAD ALREADY WENT TO THIS PLACE (BUT ONE OF THEIR STORES) TO CHANGE MY TIRES AT 1614 E 233rd St, Bronx, NY 10466-I'VE KNOWN THIS PLACE FOR YEARS BUT NOW BRUCE'S CAR OWNS IT.*TUESDAY* THEY TOOK MY CAR BUT TO ANOTHER OF THEIR SHOPS WITHOUT TELLING ME ANYTHING!*WEDNESDAY* I WENT TO PICK UP MY CAR AT 4028 Boston Rd, Bronx, NY 10475 "SUPPOSEDLY" THEY CHANGED THE ALTERNATOR $450 +TAX ALAA WAS THE ONE WHO RECEIVED THE PAYMENT.WHEN I WAS ON THE WAY TO WORK MY CAR STOPPED AND TURNED OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC AND WOULDN'T START. TOW TRUCK CAME TO TAKE MY CAR AND BRUCE'S CHANGED THE ANTIFREEZE RESERVOIR DUE TO A LEAK. ALAA TOLD ME PICK UP THE CAR NEXT DAY AT NOON! I KEPT THINKING ITS STILL MORNING, WHY UNTIL NEXT DAY!!*THURSDAY*I WENT TO PICK UP MY CAR AT NOON AND IT WAS NOT READY!!!NOW THERE WERE TWO DIFFERENT GUYS IN THIS PLACE AND "SUPPOSEDLY" THEY DIDN'T FIND THE PART TO CHANGE THE ANTIFREEZE RESERVOIR. I TOLD THEM THAT A CALL WOULD HAVE PREVENT ME LEAVE WORK AND TO GO THERE FOR NOTHING!!AND ONE OF THOSE WHO WERE THERE DAY SAID: THE CUSTOMER IS THE ONE WHO CALLS TO SEE IF THE CAR IS READY. *WHAT?!*I TRUST WHEN THIS -ALLAA TOLD ME MY CAR WOULD BE READY "TOMORROW AT NOON"!*FRIDAY*(YESTERDAY)TO MAKE SURE MY CAR WAS READY TO PICK UP, I CALLED THEM, THESE SAME GUYS FROM THURSDAY SAID THAT THEY HAD CHANGED THE PART BUT NOW THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON AND THAT HE PUT HIS BATTERY IN MY CAR TO CHECK IT WORKS WELL -I DID NOT UNDERSTAND THAT PART, BUT I RESPONDED TO HIM NOT TO CHANGE ANYTHING BEFORE NOTIFIING ME AND HE SAID OK AND HE WOULD CALL ME TO PICK UP MY CAR.I CALL THE PARTS STORE WHERE I ALSO KNOW FOR YEARS AND THEY CHECKED THAT MY CAR'S BATTERY WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY AND YES IT HAD A WARRANTY.SO I CALLED Bruce's Car Care Center TO TELL THEM I WAS ON THE WAY TO PICK UP MY CAR, I PICKED IT UP, PAID $170 I told the guy who received this payment: I hoped it was NOT car parts from junkyard in my car.I TOOK MY CAR TO CHANGE THE BATTERY AT THE AUTO PARTS STORE AND *SURPRISE* THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY COULD NOT GIVE ME THE NEW BATTERY BECAUSE THE ONE THAT WAS IN MY CAR WAS NOT THE ORIGINAL ONE THEY PUT IN, THEY LOGED INTO THE COMPUTER AND SHOWED ME MY RECEIPT SHOWING ME THE PHOTO OF THE BATTERY THAT WAS IN MY CAR-I ALSO HAVE THE SAME RECEIPT. IN THE PHOTOS YOU CAN SEE THEIR BATTERY AND THE WINDSHIELD WASHER COVER IS NOT HERE EITHER.I CALLED BRUCE'S AND THEY DENIED EVERYTHING! *TRYING TO FOOL ME AROUND!* THAT MAYBE THIS WAS NOT THE STORE WHERE I HAD MY WARRANTY.THEY HAVE MANY THERE WORKING. MY CAR WAS ON WHEN I ARRIVED IN THEIR GARAGE, THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT WAS MESSY WHERE I KEEP CARS RECEIPTS, MARKS OF DIRTY HANDS.NEXT STEP WILL BE TO CHECK WHICH ALTERNATOR PART THEY SUPPOSEDLY REPLACED IN MY CAR TO SEE WHAT TO DO.

My family fixed few cars in this dealership in which each came back like new afterwards.One story:My mom made a car accident last week that was severely damaged. The people were honest; they helped fix the car and guided us step-by-step with how to come out of this case with the least damages! This is no longer the same business, they re dishonest, shady and predatory. Not in business to do good business. I had a minor issue that could be fixed with sealant, i was charged 100$ for them to use a finger and sealant to put around the hole, something i could do myself. The sealant was smeared on windshield and body of car causing ugly appearance which i had to wipe and clean myself before drying permanently. I had to get job done again by a professional. Avoid this shop if you care about your car.

For years I have been going to Bruce's Car Care for inspections and minor car repairs. This time around I was the victim of my Catalytic Converter being stolen and was in a huge PICKLE. I saw Ray at Bruce's on a Saturday morning and his exact words were "Don't worry I'll take care of you" EXACTLY THAT!!!! He got me back on the rode and inspected. Again I have been going there for years and their prices are the best when shopping around. The shop itself can be a little chaotic (busy) but go see Ray he'll get you back on the road. Thanks guys always for helping me out!

Came to bruce car care at 11am. It took them 3 hours to find out what was wrong with the car. I when to see if they were working on the car and it's just sitting there with the hood up and no one working on it. They don't communicate with you. You have to keep asking what's going on. Very bad customer service. This will be my last time coming here. God help me. I finally got my car at 5pm after 6 hrs.

I recently visited Bruce AUTO CENTER off boston rd in the Bronx, NY, to have my fuel tank removed and cleaned, as well as getting my spark plugs changed. The experience was a mix of good and not-so-good moments.Initially, a more experienced mechanic was working on my car, which gave me confidence in their ability. He disassembled and carefully checked everything, ensuring a thorough inspection. However, during the process, he was replaced with an inexperienced mechanic who seemed eager to work on my vehicle. While enthusiasm is great, I couldn't help but feel a bit concerned about the switch.The new mechanic was advised to take my vehicle to the back for further work. Unfortunately, upon getting my car back, I immediately noticed horrible scratches on the exterior. It was evident that the mishap occurred during the replacement of the spark plugs, which was quite disappointing. In addition, after paying I had to wait another 45min for the mechanic to finish praying before he could add fuel in the tank. subsequently, I realize that they had left screws outside of the motor cover. So I had to return back to the shop to have them find some screws to put the motor cover back on the motor.The shop staff was apologetic and offered to fix the scratches at another one of their shops. However, I felt uncomfortable with the idea of letting them handle the repairs, especially considering my truck is less than 3 years old. I may have to involve my attorney and insurance to address the issue properly.Overall, I appreciated the initial expertise and thoroughness displayed by the first mechanic. However, the unfortunate mishap and the subsequent offer to fix it in another shop leave me with mixed feelings about my experience at Bruce Autocenter. Hopefully, the situation can be resolved amicably, and future customers won't encounter similar issues.

Went to get my front struts changed. After changing my struts they damaged my sway bar to my front wheel on drivers side. When I brought it back for them to check they tried to charge me for the bar. Luckily because they didn't honor their word about an oil change they promised it evened out where I didn't have to pay. Overall...they will charge you for something they break.

Tried charging me $80 for inspection cause my car has little tint. Then tried bargaining with me to bring it down to $60. Inspections cost $37 in NYC. When asked to speak to the manager charging $80, he refused. Thieves for sure.

I'm a regular here. They get the job done. Kinda gruff service, but they're honestUpdate: I recently took my rims to them to get them repairs and cleaned up (I had horrible rim rash. They did an excellent job with such courtesy! I had to update this review. 5 stars!

I gotta give zero stars my mother in law went there on a Sunday for some repair $900 the same issue is still their so a few days after I decided to look around the engine bay and under the car and found a ton of bolts missing, also bolts with plumbers tape wrapped around then missing parts to fasten them to the engine body also parts the mechanic claimed he fixed is held up by zip ties I even found plumbers tape roll that I can bring back covered in grease if you want and even found parts that was supposed to replaced still in the same spot and not connected to anything. Not to mention the entire bottom flap that's supposed to be attached to bumper is falling off and being held by a screw that I don't think it belongs in the thread. I would love to bring the car back exactly how it was handed back so the owner can take a close look and say if this is a professional job done because to me as non mechanic this is not how mechanic work is supposed to look like I have been other places and I never seen anything like this. I would love for a response so I can bring it back and we can go over the work that was done to see if you would approve of the work and repair it to how it should be and guarantee your warranty of work performed for the amount paid. I will be awaiting a response back, I can be there before you even open the doors for this to be fixed.

Man i don't know what else to say about them but thank you these guys save me got my car back working for a good price had my car towed there and they figured the problem with in 5min give me a great price was honest upfront willing to work with you and didn't take long to do the job So THANK YOU I APPRECIATE THE SAVE

Great service. Fast. Friendly and fair. I've been here 2 days in a row for 2 different things and both times they got me fixed and legit. I'm actually here now getting my rear brakes changed for my inspection.Yesterday, I came to get my thermometer changed. I only waited an hour and it was complete and no more check engine light. They also put my windshield wipers on for me.Today, I had to drive around more and come back and even tho busy they were attentive and on point.I'm bringing my car here from now on. As a woman these things can be uncomfy and the people try to over charge you but they didn't . Both times he gave me fair prices.Im overly satisfied.

Very reasonable and honest guys. I don't have a guy I deal with regularly but the 3 times I went there I felt well taken care of. And the did stand by their work. I got an alignment that wasn't right. I didn't realize Immediately. When I took it back. No questions no haggling. They realigned it and I'm happy. Good guys there.

They are crooks specially if you don't know about cars? I Bring my car in for a break line repair.I tell him I only have $170. He accepts the offer. I go home to wait, all of a sudden, they call me to tell me that I have a fuel line broken That needs to be repaired so they said it will be another $100 Which was bullcrap Because when I first brung the car, it wasn't smelling like gas at all or leaking gas when we all together was standing underneath the car. My Car was only pulling to the right when I braked. My gas mileage was good. So I told them that they must of damaged or broke the line themselves so he got angry and told me to just give him the $170 and no longer bring him my business. Now the back of the trunk smells like brake cleaner fluid and now I can smell heavy gas from under the car which i never smelled before. His name was RAY. Now, will I go back to complain so he can fix what he has done? No because as far as i know he might mess something else up then try to charge me for his mess up! Just bring in you re car ask for Ray, tell him what s wrong he ll get it done. If you don t have the time just drop it off they will call you wen it s done but if you re like me I get there early cause they do get busy I actually step back and watch him and his mechanic s go to work. This place is the worst place ever to get your car fixed, ever since I brought my car to this auto shop. Nothing but chaos and damage to my car wasting money there, I recommend no one to ever bring your vehicle here ever. Now I have to go back to my old mechanic to get the job done right

I visited the shop for a wheel alignment to the front and rear wheels. i knew I had a tire that needed replacing, and they new immediately without me having to tell them exactly which of the tires. They even balanced my front tires for free after I told them I get vibration over 60mph.I just finished testing at 80mph on I-87, and the car feels new again. I HIGHLY recommend this shop. I'm definitely a repeat customer after today!Service: Wheel alignment
