I called yesterday when the shop I was at was unable to fix my exhaust due to part availability. They got me in first thing this morning and noticed another issue while looking at my exhaust. The guy showed me the 2 issues and how they will be fixed and gave me a quote before I left under the car. They had me in and out within 2 hours which is amazing. I will definitely be using them again in the future.

Came in for a simple inspection. Was told my brakes and rotors were unsafe. That's absolutely false. They were just done. I gave the new owner a chance, and he failed miserably. So I will not be using this place.

Came for inspection and The owner start doing work on my car without my Permission and when i ask him to see the problem he become very rude and defensive and mad and told me to leave his shop as i told him i can do it my self and there is no need to charge for itRude owner bad costomer serviceWill not do any business with him. Be careful

This is my to go place for my car maintenance, inspection etc.The owner is so nice and kind, he never said no I don t have time or anything like that. Nice people, great and affordable service.Highly recommend!

My car wouldn't pass inspection since I had an air injection pump replaced by my hometown mechanic and I hadn't driven far enough to reset the computer and monitors. I was planning a road trip to CT. so I decided to stop at the Brewster Service Station and see if my car would pass inspection after more highway driving. They couldn't fit me in that day, but were able to fit me in the next morning (the day I would be returning home from CT.).When I stopped in the next morning, my car was taken right in and checked thoroughly. Everything passed except the rear brakes. I was told I needed new brake pads and rotors. (When the air injection pump was replaced, my hometown mechanic informed me that my rear brakes were getting low. Also, the last time the rear brake pads were replaced was 7 years ago.) The parts were delivered from a local parts store within 5 minutes and the mechanic started working on my car.During the work, it was discovered that the calipers had locked up. Before ordering new calipers, the owner/manager told me he would try heating them and seeing if that would loosen them up. It did! Once the brake work was completed, my car passed inspection. Furthermore, the owner/manager saved me money by reusing the calipers instead of buying new ones.I was very pleased with the way I was treated and with the work done on my car. I felt that I was treated courteously and with respect; I believe that customer service and satisfaction is a priority for this business; I felt valued as a customer. My experience with the Brewster Service Station was a very positive one.

Dishonest BusinessAfter bringing my vehicle in to be inspected, I was told that it would not pass because of rust on my rear rotors. Now mind you, the vehicle has been driven less than 300 miles since the last inspection. According to NYS Vehicle Safety/Emissions Inspection Program, for brakes to be thoroughly inspected, at least one front wheel must be removed to inspect the brakes. At no point in time were any of my wheels removed. My vehicle was on the lift for less than 5 minutes. I was told I needed new brakes in order to pass inspection. I explained to the individual that the car has barely been driven since my last inspection. I was then shown some surface rust, and was told that if a vehicle sits for an extended period of time that the brakes will go bad. When I advised the individual that I would not be having the repairs done at his shop, I was told that I still had to pay the inspection fee. I use to bring my vehicles to this shop when Steve was the owner, never had one issue. Steve was super honest and would never try to get over on his customers. I absolutely 100% DO NOT recommend this service station, the new owner is very dishonest and a theif.

If I could give zero stars I would! When Steve owned this station it was phenomenal. He was always honest and professional. The new owners are awful. They do work that isn't authorized by the owner and are completely dishonest and unprofessional. Have been there 3 times since they bought, today being the last! They take no ownership for their mistakes and can't seem to justify doing work that isn't approved.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Brakes, Oil change

We used to go here to get maintenance and inspections when Steve was the owner and were always treated fairly. The new owners are not the same type of people. Just went in for I section and he said we needed full brake replacement to pass and then quoted 950 dollars to do it. Highway robbery. Got the parts for 250 and did them myself in less than an hour. Don't go here unless you're tryna get swindled.

My boyfriend had brought his car to this shop for over a year while Steve owned it. When he got a new car he continued bringing it to the same shop. They ruined his car and charged me over $500 for a storage fee after I had tried to get the car towed a week earlier. The staff is beyond rude, don t seem to actually be able to explain what s wrong or why it needs to be fixed. They just want your money so they can pretend to be successful off of someone else s hard work. I would stay far away from this dishonest, sorry excuse for a repair shop.Services: Brakes, Oil change

I have known Steve my whole life He is an honest and fair, great businessman. He is extremely hard-working and very accommodating. Anytime I need work done on my car he gets it into the shop quickly and is workmanship is excellent. I recommend him to anyone.

Was in a bind from Mass, car broke down on the 4th of July called on the 5th of July they towed the car called me explained the issue and fixed the car. Since then no issue with the car at all very greatful.

Steve does NOT own this business anymore and wish him the best. This business is under New management and is horrible. I waited a week to get an appointment for a 2 hour job and It was clear that I would have my vehicle back the same day. When I dropped it off I was told that I would not have my vehicle worked on that day and might be a couple of days before they could get to it. I found out that they Over booked their calendar for the whole week. .Needless to say I wasn t thrilled to hear that especially after making arrangements to drop it off and conversations on work to be performed etc.. I will not use this place again everThis place is Not what it was when Steve owned it.Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair, Brakes, Brake service & repair, Oil change

Was failed inspection for a leaking shock. A leaking shock does not constitute a failure in NYS. This was always my go to place for odds and ends and inspections since I have been a mechanic for over 25 years of my life and do my own work. They should really reread the NYS DMV laws for inspections instead of trying to upsell parts that do not contribute to a failure.Steve was a good man. The new ownership is debatable at best. Went to another shop and was in and out with a new sticker after leaving. Was recommended to replace the mirror and was on my way. Good luck with your business guys.

DO NOT GO HERE THERE SCAMMERS Worst shop brought my wife s car there I told them what was wrong with it.It needed a ignition module they said no it needs a tune-up they had it all day an then call me an tell me it still won t run it needs the ignition module told them no I m done brought it home an fixed it in 10 mins do not goServices: Vehicle Inspection, Auto maintenance

Absolutely love these guys. 100% trust in Steve to always be honest and fair with you about your vehicle. Has saved me money and headaches many times. In fact, dropped my car off today with an alternator problem, and he's already repaired it and has it ready for me 4 hours later! Bring your vehicle here and nowhere else, this is the last mechanic shop you will ever need!

Steve is the best He will not cheat you or scam you at all. He fixes what's broken and is fair honest and a pleasure. Most trustworthy mechanic I know and i would not and will not go anywhere else to service my car.

I would give zero stars if it was possible. When this buisness was ran by Steve it was a 5 star, honest establishment. The new owner is a rip off, I DO NOT recommend going here for any work, way overpriced.

I ve known Steve for years, he s worked on two generations of my families cars and we have not had an issue once. He s a very likeable, honest, charming, considerate man. I highly recommend

I own a 2013 Ford Focus ST. When I brought my car to them for the first oil change they put conventional oil. My car requires synthetic. When I confronted them about this they said it shouldn t be a problem. The second oil change (pictured) they only filled my engine with 4.5 quarts opposed to the 5.71 required from factory. They caused my engine to seize and refused to accept responsibility. When I sent my girlfriend to collect my receipts and my key they refused to give her the key so that it could be towed that day as it was the only night I had available that week. When they finally allowed the car to get towed they charged her over $500 for storage fees. When Steve owned the shop I referred everyone with a car issue here. Now I wouldn t recommend someone to the gas station next door. 10/10 would rather get stranded on the side of a volcano then to return to a shop run by hot wheels mechanics and a service manager who doesn t know left from right. Absolute trash management and even worse new owner.Services: Brakes, Oil change

Last time I was at Brewster service station the owner replaced the blower fan had to remove the brake and gas pedal.. when he put it back on after replacing the blower fan he did not properly put the brake and gas pedal back on correctly causing an issue with my car that I had to take to another gas station and have fixed this caused almost an accidentServices: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Oil change

What I have experienced with Steve and Brewster Service over 20+ years of service has been the highest level of integrity, convenience, and communication, servicing the many vehicles owned by me and my family. I have referred customers to Brewster Service over the years, and will continue to do so.

Very helpful, polite and friendly staff. I didn t have an appointment today and even tho they were so busy they manage to squeeze me in for a NYS inspection. I would definitely recommend this place
