My son bought 2008 Honda crf250r. I wanted to have it looked at by a reputable mechanic to make sure it was safe for him. I called Bicks Sunrise Cycle and the owner Jay made me feel very comfortable. He was very knowledgeable and let me know he does the work himself. I brought the bike to him and he did a great job. Very happy to have a trustworthy mechanic to service his bike and the peace of mind it will be done correctly.

Let's start off with the fact that I own an older (1998) BMW R1100RT. I was faced with a dilemma as to where could I bring the bike for repairs, since the person I was using previously was no longer available and dealerships don't want to work on something that old. After a google search, I found 2 places, one of which was Bick's. I read some of the reviews and they seemed very positive about the work performed by Jay. As with many of the reviews already written, Jay is a real nice guy, very knowledgeable and very thorough. He kept me apprised of everything he found and was repairing on my bike all along the way. I put a couple of hundred miles on the bike since I picked it from Jay and it performs beautifully, I highly recommend Jay, especially if you find yourself in a similar situation as myself.Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment, Brake service & repair, Battery, Oil change

Had to get a new gas tank for my bike after the original rotted out. Tracked one down and brought it to Bicks to be treated and lined. Jay was very helpful and knows his stuff. Even helped me to remove the little rubber gaskets that may have been lost during the process if they d stayed on.Excellent customer service, very respectful and helpful. His assistance with older bikes is extremely valuable.Entirely recommend.

First off let me say Jay is a great guy! He is very professional, and took the time to explain everything thing to me. I need two tires mounted and balanced, and he took care of me that day. I purchased a pre-owned Ducati and I needed someone to help me get it in to safe/good riding condition. Most bike mechanics don t work on these bikes but Jay of Bick s Sunrise Cycles was highly recommended to me so I made an appointment. I met with Jay and he was extremely helpful in explaining both the good and bad qualities of my bike. I wasn t looking to break the bank on this so Jay helped me determine what the bike needed to make it safe and run with no worries. I believe he only worked on what was absolutely necessary as requested. Jay is an honest guy and clearly knows his stuff! He got me in and out on the road in a matter of days (to my surprise). Lastly I have called Jay several times and even stopped by with a minor issue and he made time for me,customer service like that is hard to come by these days. Needless to say I recommend Bicks s Sunrise Cycle.

I found Bicks number from a couple of really high-end motorcycle enthusiast. They ensured me that they ve searched Long Island high and low for a really good Motorcycle mechanic, with his own shop where everything is 100% immaculate.BICKS SUNRISE CYCLE is hands-down, the best Shop I ve ever encountered on Long Island. I ve been bringing my Dirtbikes, Atvs and Motorcycles to shops all over this island, and when I found Bicks, I knew I had found the last shop I would ever need. I can guarantee you he s a one-man shop, you deal with nobody but him the owner and he will not let your bike out unless everything is 100% roadworthy. I am 100% satisfied with Jay Bicks work ethic. I wouldn t take any of my bikes anywhere else now. Satisfaction Quaranteed. He will call you up along the way every single thing he does is documented with pictures and written down the prices and costs of every single nut and bolt he may need to replace. It was truly an amazing experience. I can now ride in confidence, knowing that he went through my entire bike and everything is safe and sound.

I d like to start off with saying I tend to be an overly meticulous person with certain things and having bad experiences with my motorcycles and cars at other shops, I m always skeptical going somewhere new. I found out Jay was 3 blocks away from me so wanted to give him a shot and im so glad I did.Right off the bat he was extremely friendly and willing to talk and overall had a great attitude and made me feel very comfortable about leaving my bike with him.Jay kept me updated throughout the whole process, giving me multiple phone calls and letting me know what was going on.Long story short, He did more than I asked, all the work is top notch and I am beyond impressed.Jay, thank you for an awesome service man. Jay over at Bicks found and fixed an electrical problem with my KTM that others were unable to diagnose and repair. He took the time to explain the system and its faults while sourcing parts I needed because the OEM KTM part were backordered. He went over my entire bike inspecting everything and addressed any issue because he genuinely wanted me to have a good season being that I missed the entire last season because my bike was broken down. I ve put 300 miles on it so far and it s riding better than ever. Give Jay a call. He s very down to earth and easy to talk to. Tell him KTM Sean sent you. i bought a kawasaki zx10r used off facebook and the bike needed a ton of work, surprised i made it from jersey to Jays shop with the condition the bike was in. So I have a 17 Ninja 300 and I haven't ridden it in awhile. I was concerned that my brakes, and tires could need a look at since all I've been doing is keeping it on a battery tender for the winter months (I only have about 1500 miles on it). I saw that Bick's had very good reviews and went in. Jay is extremely nice and I explained my bike and he did not up-sell me at all. He noted I needed new tires since they were 5+ years old and saw with my low mileage my breaks were fine. I dropped it off and on a Wednesday and it was ready to pick up the next week on Tuesday. It was so fast and my bike is basically new again. He kept me updated every step of the way. I can not recommend this place enough. This shop saved my life on my ride back home. Jay was a very knowledgeable and friendly guy who waited for me to get to his shop so he can replace my rear tire on my bike so I can get back home. I caught a nail on the LIE as I was riding in long Island. Jay thank you again so much for waiting for me and replacing the tire at the very end of your day. I will definitely recommend him to anyone in the area or passing by.

I recently had my '07 Moto Guzzi serviced by Jay. This was the first time getting the bike serviced so I didn't know what to expect. Jay quickly went through the bike with me and pointed out the "obvious" items that needed immediate attention (as well as those that did't). Jay is a nice guy and very easy to speak to and explain what you want to accomplish. My experience was that he did what was required to make the bike safe and performing well. He pointed out what should be done at the next service interval. I felt at ease letting him go through the bike and took his recommendations with the assurance that he wasn't looking to find something to repair but rather had a common sense approach and was more centered on safety than generating income. Jay actually provided photos of what he found as he performed the service for replaced items. When you couple the honesty, easy going manner and attention to detail I will be a customer of Jay's for as long as I own this motorcycle. Thanks Jay!

The BEST motorcycle mechanic in New York. Jay s work is beyond top notch, not only does he thoroughly explain everything he goes through all the options you have. I won t let anyone else do work on my bikes besides Jay. I picked up my 2023 Zx6r after it s break in service and it feels like a dream. Everything from the clutch, brakes, suspension, and throttle were adjusted perfectly it feels like a completely different bike. Everytime I pick my bike up from Jay I know that everything is in the best possible condition it can be in and I m always excited to see how it feels after he works his magic. I HIGHLY recommend Jay, but be aware he is very busy and it might take some time to get whatever you need done but in my eyes that s just another plus, a busy shop is a good shop.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Brake service & repair, Oil change

Great experience from start to finish. Jay is super nice and a straight up regular dude. He kept me in the loop as he diagnosed and repaired the issues with my quad. He was MORE than fair with his prices and got to work / finished the work on my quad super quick. Upon pick up, he gave me some great tips on proper maintenance and told me if anything was not right to let him know and he'd take care of it. I actually found his business card in a bagel store some years ago, and figured I'd check him out. I lucked out, because he turned out to be an awesome person, and I've been a loyal customer of his ever since. He's loves what he does, and he does it well. Jay, if you're reading this, you're right. Jay is great! Very helpful and treats all customers like his business depends on it. (Well, it does!) You could be a newbie, or a seasoned rider; as you enter the door, you know you are talking to a pro. Jay knows his bikes and how to run business. This guy is amazing, Honest. Upfront , and goes above and beyond for his customers. Had taken my '21 Harley Davidson street glide Cvo to him for my first maintenance took care of it no problem and was very happy on the professionalism and how my bike was treated. So now fast forward to today I called prior to see if he could get a specific suspension for Harley's that was manufacture specific but still ohlins roots(screaming eagle ohlins shocks). No problem ,he told me about about the extensive back orders that were going on but I left a deposit and would contact when came in. Jay calls me to let me know my rear suspension was in ,set the appointment,and had it done today. My experience with the job done was second to none, everything was done in a cleanly manor and exactly the way I wanted it and pictured in my head. Jay was very fair with his pricing and made sure to explain everything that he had done from when I brought the bike in all the way to the finished product. Highly recommended. Hello everyone, just want to give Bick s Sunrise Cycle a recommendation. When an independently owned business does a great job I think it s important to promote them so others can use them with confidence. Ja was great, he was honest and had my bike back to me fast. The process was simple, I called explained my situation and Ja was awesome. I felt at ease and confident I could trust Ja. I have had a few really negative experiences with other local shops but no more, I will now use Ja going forward and will recommend to everyone looking for a repair shop. Hands down great Guy!!

Just a short conversation with Jay and I realized he has a wealth of knowledge in many different areas of maintenance and repair on all the different types of motorcycles out there including my Italian classic. Just wanted share my views on Bicks and Jay the owner. I can say hand on heart over 20 yrs motorcycling in several different countries and dealing with various workshops and owners Jay is without doubt the most honest, professional and decent person i have ever come across. The work carried out on my machine was done in a timely, accurate, thorough and most important SAFE manner. The prices are fair and worth every dime of the work carried out. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking at getting maintenance done. I am very happy this shop is so close to me and will be using here for many years and miles to come. I was referred to Bicks because they were a Ducati specialist I was blown off like my bike was too much of work all I needed was a few things to get it ready for the season. And I wanted some help doing so. I got nothing but excuses and to come back in the winter. As he wasn't up to taking in new clients. Further communication was poor and when try to communicate further I was blocked. I met him in person and explain my situation. Just seemed like he couldn't be bothered or care less. To the people that referred me to him what a waste of time.
