I called about a 2014 Chevrolet equinox and they answered first call, answered all my questions and pictures and all the things and offered me to come that day. Unfortunately on my way there my car broke down, I get there and explain that my very minor plan turned into a major issue. They were very kind and understanding and even tho my car wasn t on the lot yet, they still let me borrow a rental car until my new car made it on premises. It was the most simple easy process ever, and even after I bought and got my car, they even offered to buy my old vehicle off me right there on the spot. I couldn t be more grateful that they were so honest and understanding in a pinch! 10/10 experience. I have no current issues with my vehicle, no lights. Would def reccomend.

I bought my 2015 Subaru forester from Spears. Was a super easy process. I couldn t get anyone to finance me for the amount I wanted for a car but Debbie got that done for me. I also thought there was something wrong with it, which turns out there s not but my warranty was extended for me just in case. They will work with you and a great place to get a car. They are an honest dealership! Over 40 years of service and there s a reason for that. :)

Me and my father both bought cars from this "business" about 5 months ago. We were both sick of buying cars outright, due to the fact that most owners would lie about them, and we would end up having to put exorbitant amounts of money and time into them just to get them on the road. We thought that going to a dealer such as this one would be different. Unfortunately it hasn't been. My father leased a Chrysler 200, and I leased a 2012 Mini Cooper S. The first month and a half, the Mini Cooper drove fine, except for the fact that a tire they replaced that was losing air was replaced with a tire that blew just from scraping a curb. We didn't take it out very much or for very far, as we live on Front Street. After we attempted to take it to Greene for work for the fist time, it started stuttering and losing power. So we parked it and tried to contact the owners. The first month, we were able to get a hold of them no problem. After that, we have yet to receive any returned calls or messages. About 3 months ago, we had tried to take it to Conklin to pick someone up from work, and to see how it ran. It died at the Love's station. Ever since then, it has veen sitting in our driveway, still being paid for. The tow truck driver said it could be a head gasket. We've also heard fuel pump issue, even though the owners told us a new one was just put in....Either way, no response from the owners or their staff. My father's car also might have a heater core issue and he just had to put a new battery in it. Luckily, his is still running for now. Otherwise I'd have no way to get to work. He has also had no luck getting in contact with them. These are not even all of the problems we have had with our vehicles. We are both looking into the lemon law, and so far, so good. We will be posting warnings about this "business" on every platform we can to warn others not to lease here. Please do not go here.

If there was a 0 star button i most definitely would give them that. I currently just bought a 2015 Kia sportage for $13,000 if not more I sold them a 2014 X1 BMW that I should have kept because this car is most definitely not worth how much it was sold to me for. Drove the car 3 days if not less gave it back to the dealer & told them something is not right with this car multiple times. They took it back for almost a whole month & gave it back it was still running the same. I have asked for copies of the mechanic paper work & for some reason there is none. This is beyond bad sales men ship & I don t wish this feeling on anybody trying to buy a car now I am fighting to get a new car due to the fact you couldn t be a up front dealer & I am not the only one that feels this way so if your buying a first time car from them I m begging you NOT TOO! most definitely the worst service I have ever had with a auto dealer. Been saying I feel unsafe in this car since I bought it & yet no sympathy from this dealer. Was only concerned with taken my money instead.

They said that everything was fine with my 2011 Jeep Liberty Sport and everthing was NOT fine cause me and my wife had to put OVER $2,000 into it we had to put brand new brakes, rotors, brand new tires, struts, and control arms But I will give them credit they did let me and my wife get our Jeep Liberty Sport for no money down

This dealership has an incredible selection! Plus.. I was having a harder time getting financed and the lovely Debbie got me approved and into the car I WANTED. I am so grateful! The only reason I give a 4 star is because I feel that as a car dealership, you should be making sure the vehicle being sold is fully ready to go top to bottom and the gas tank was on a quarter tank. But that perhaps is just preference. Also.. I live 4 hours away; Debbie made it so everything besides signing documents was done. I maybe spent 30 minutes at the dealership. Easy... Peasy! This is definitely my go to dealership. THANK YOU!

Jim was absolutely Outstanding when it came to customer support. He was quick to respond, day or night with any questions I might have and made the process so easy. We needed to trade our old vehicles as part of the deal and he drove over 1.5 hours himself to evaluate the vehicles.Once we made a deal, Jim even drove to our house to pick up one of the trade-ins so that the process was easier on us.When I went to get my new vehicle from him, he ensured that the oil was changed, vehicle was clean, and even replaced the brakes and rotors to ensure I started off with no issues. That shocked me because I did not ask him to do this. He also drove in on the weekend to deliver some parts that he promised me.Overall, this was the EASIEST car buying experience I have ever had. He was open and honest about everything and communicated with me every step of the way. I cannot say enough good things about him and his company. I highly recommend Jim Spears and will definitely return if the need arises.

They actually sold a vehicle right out from underneath me, could ve put all cash down. For a circumstance with the owner that had went down so I had to wait a day later, was told I would get a call back the next day, I had to call and find out they sold it right from underneath me, absolutely will never bring my business here again

Be sure to have a different shop inspect your vehicle if buying a vehicle from here. I recently purchased a jeep from here. The emergency brake cables were not even hooked up. These people only care about making a dollar even if it means to jeopardize safety or lives of others. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Frankly I only gave them 1 star because that's the lowest I'm allowed. I checked google to find their store hours, which it said they were open on Saturdays. All I needed was a photo for insurance purposes. I call around 9am and spoke to a woman regarding the photo who told me "yes we do photos for insurance from 10am to 4pm, please bring your insurance card." Fast forward, I arrive at the shop at noon and entered the building with the Open sign lit up and there is nobody to be found. I yell out yell out several times and then choose to wait about 10 minutes until I decided to wait in my car. I finally call again at 12:40 (I was honestly trying to be as patient and understanding as I wasn't in any hurry what's so ever) to have the same woman on the phone tell me their offices are not open and do not do photos on the weekends. I told her I spoke to her this morning around 9am and she never said anything about not being open nor available to do photos on weekends. She then proceeded to tell me that she always tells people they're not open on the weekends which I then corrected her and told her she didn't this time. It's a good thing I'm not requesting a service to pay them because frankly, they were not worth a dime. I'm disappointed with the false information, the Open light being on when their not open, lack of physical presence in the building, a 40 minute wait, and 2 separate phone calls with the final one being full of attitude. I recommend to future customers to spend your money elsewhere. It's not worth it.

Do not trust this place. Owner is a thief and a liar. Purchased a van years ago from him. He promised to fix some original factory rims that were corroded from salt etc. I bought a cheap set to put on while they were being 'fixed". He stole them. He never fixed them or returned them to me. Full of excuses. He is a shady car dealer

Posting a one star review because that s the lowest possible rating I can give. Purchased a vehicle from this dealership 6 months ago and it has already needed a new fuel pump, battery, computer board, head gasket, rotors, fuel level sensor and to top it all off a brand new engine. I was also surprised to see that the coolant hose was repaired by pouring a cheap liquid sealant down into the tank instead of replacing it like an honest mechanic would. We made the mistake of not reading reviews prior to purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. They have been known to sell LEMON VEHICLES to their clients. The vehicle we purchased not even half a year ago was an absolute LEMON. If you value your hard earned money in any way, DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS PLACE! It s more like a glorified junkyard than a car dealership.

The owner, himself, had me in tears!! What a guy!! I went to do my car photos for insurance and he told me to come back tomorrow between certain times which I had no problem doing. I came back and he was just awful yelling and telling me he doesn't do them anymore!!??!! And he didn't stop there, he added how it wasn't his problem and oh well. It was extremely unprofessional, rude and I don't recommend business with this type of person.

First time experience with Spears and after leaving there, I was totally convinced that this is the best place for a car rental by far...I will be going back to talk with Jim about a vehicle purchase..everyone who came in or called was given top shelf service. Debbie was the most sincere and friendly person and made sure I was completely satisfied before I left

Thank you Jim and Debbie! I bought a Cadillac CTS from them for a great price and the car in great condition. There was a problem after I bought it (not their fault) but without me having to ask they jumped in immediately and took care of it. I LOVE this car and very grateful for their professional friendly service I got. Thank you.

They were awesome. I told them I had a budget and they worked with me and my budget. Jim=awesome. His wife debbie=awesome. Nice people nice cars. And great service. I already recommended this place to a couple of my friend looking for cars!

Bought a truck from them had issues they resolved one and the other has not been addressed. Was told I would recieve a phone call in about 2 to 3 weeks to get the repair done hum no call yet and it's been almost 4 months. I run a service garage and this is not how you have relations with a consumer. Good thing is I have it in writing that the repairs will be made by them and have now turned it over to my lawyer to review. Not the guy to do this but enough is enough i just want my truck fixed like promised. Sometimes you just got to do things that you dont want to but when you take my money with a smile you should hold up your end with a smile.

Drove a long way to look at a car I had seen on the internet. When I got there I found that the pictures on auto trader were of a different car. Previous owner had smoked in it and discolored the plastic around the drivers side door, it didn't go straight down the road and the parking assist didn't work because some of the sensors were missing from the back bumper, seats were terribly worn and damaged. The pictures were of a nice vehicle and we were shown a piece of junk. I wouldn't waste my time going there again!

I took my car there for a photo inspection for my insurance company and when I walked in no one even acknowledged that I was there. The lady that I spoke to when I walked I didn t even say anything to me just set on her phone but then when she opened her mouth she was nothing but completely rude. I was nothing but nice to them. On top of that they were also talking bad about past employees to another customer that was waiting. The whole time I was there they were very unprofessional and I was very disappointed with the service. Never will I go back.

Happened by SPEARS' lot and eyed the exact car we were looking for. Jim and Debbie bent over backwards to work with us to get that car at our convenience- ASAP. The price was fair and the car has lived up to all we expected. Its been a year since then and one of the best used car buying experiences we've ever had! It even beat the first time I bought from them...over 25 years ago! Now, I'm in the market for yet another vehicle and know The SPEARS won't do me wrong, and that's more than can be said for most other used dealers in this area. Mark my words- SPEARS is a man that is worthy of being trusted. He was 100% up front with us and over the year we've had the car, we've had zero, nada, no, issues with it and feel it was, and still is, a bargain! Thanks, Jim & Debbie. You're a credit to your profession!

The last interaction that i had with the dealership was for a car co inspection that my insurance company said could do it. When i arrived the sign says open and the door was locked. I waited a few minutes when a gentleman pulled up and said that he would be right back. When the guy arrived I looked right at him he let the other guy in as i was walking up and locked me out.Dont waste your time with the scum. The dealership parking lot is crowded and hard to get in and out with no clear direction.

Went to look at several cars that we found online. The cars we viewed and test drove were all in the same condition as they were represented online and he offered us a good deal when we considered making a purchase. I was very pleased with our interaction. Thanks Jim

I stored a complete store in his warehouse before it burned it down. HUH!all fixtures were taking plus thousands of dollars worth of goods. I was told one price for storage and was charged much greater, wound up with court for which he knew i WOULDN'T WIN.I didn't! this guy got away with taking my stuff and other people stuff.170, k worth.this company is no good and said to me " what stuff" I don,t have anything of yours. the man is bad.

I was wondering why they only received 2 stars, the service is horrible ! They should have zero stars! The lady who did our photo inspection had a very bad attitude, it was like she couldn t be bothered. I waited outside for more than a hour to have our car serviced, no apology for opening LATE. I hope I NEVER have to do business in this place again.

Slimeball sold me a car with a cracked exhaust manifold and front wheel bearings were shot. Car drove fine for 50 miles then I had nothing but problems with it. It was my first car, and we made that clear to the owner, so keep that in mind if you buy here-The guy will sell an unsafe vehicle to inexperienced drivers. The freakin breaklines blew out going down smith hill!-within a month of buying it, luckily I had my arents in the car at the time.

Went here to do an insurance photo inspection.I called before going and it was really quick and easy. I can't say anything about buying or renting a car from here, but doing the inspection was painless.

The worst , dishonest , unorganized, fraudulent business I've ever bought a vehicle from which is why the state of NY and Department of motor vehicles found them guilty of fraud amoung several other charges !They put my families lives at risk for profit .They intentionally sold me a vehicle with Sevier structural issues which resulted in a broken frame and 2 years of court dates, paying payments and insurance on a vehicle that is inoperable .God help anyone who deals with this business more importantly the owner of this business..

Went there for an auto insurance inspection. Very unprofessional staff, made it seem like we were inconveniencing them. Absolutely no customer service. Definitely notifying my carrier.
