The best mechanic shop in town by far. Sure they don t let you bring your own parts like they used to, but they re good, honest, and fair guys.Had a big problem with a check engine light, and had mechanics in the area such as Anthony s auto repair on Main Street lie and tell me I had a short and try to charge me $500! for a diagnostic to fix the problem on top of the $145 I paid for my initial diagnostic.Came to these guys since they ve done my exhaust before and helped me identify other problems with my car for FREE.They didn t charge me to look at my car, and the problem was only a $26 cleaning of my throttle bodies. I love these guys. COME TO EDGE AUTO.

I went to them for my first car repair and they did a good job for a cheap price fast forward to now and I brought my jeep in to have a problem diagnosed. I received a call it would be $800 to fix and I politely declined to see what my other options were with the vehicle. I decided to take photos so I can sell the car and upon doing so, when I opened the hood, I saw half my air intake broken with broken clips. I called them, and asked if the car was in this condition when he received it, and he said it was not. He also continued and said, it wouldn t make any difference whether if it was put back together or not , and said he was lucky I didn t charge you . I will never be going back to this place, brutal.

I took my van there to be repaired and he was 100% honest with the problems that my van has. Did I like his answer ? No, but he earned my respect with his honesty and he isn t overcharging me. He has a new customer for life.

Edge Auto has been hands down the best garage I've ever been to. They are quick, professional, fairly priced, and super dependable. I will never go anywhere else. The crew is so supportive and keeps you informed. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Very happy with this shop. The owner Steve took care of my son's Ford Explorer - diagnosed the issue within an hour and made the repair. My son is a student at Binghamton and really needs the car. Outstanding service. Called in about a broken side mirror they told me to come on in and they fixed it on the spot. I will definitely come back again if I ever have any further problems. As a college student who is unfamiliar with the area and dealing with a car problem while up in Binghamton for the first it s good to know that there is a place that I can trust. I would recommend them to any of my friends who are having issues with their cars.

Big thank you to Edge for doing honest work. We brought in our Audi having damaged our splash shield and thinking we needed to get the entire belly pan replaced. We called a few shops around the area and were getting estimates of upwards of 200$. We decided to take our car to Edge and they fixed it within 20 minutes... and free-of-charge. Had an awesome experience with Edge Auto. I was looking to purchase a vehicle in the are, but being out of state I wanted someone to take a look at it for me. Scheduled it with Edge, they did an inspection for me. Had a phone call soon as it was done. Very reasonable and easy to work with. Thanks guys!

I came in @17:30, in a panic with a blown radiator tube, they were Closing but Edge auto diagnosed the problem anyway for me, and drove me to Avis Car Rental at BGM airport right-quick! First thing next morning they repaired problem in 10 minuets, and charged me next to nothing for the labor. These guys are a credit to NewYork'er Motivation and Capability! My usual hometown guys charge me for things they don't even do.. So im using Edge Auto from now on!

I was referred by one of my co-worker to Edge auto repair, that was the best decision I took to went there. they provided me with fair price and honest with everything I needed to fix my car, then after my car transmission went bad I call them again they provided me with a good a tow truck then I forgot my debit card, Brandon had paid them for me, give me time to bring the cash to them with no pressure, if you are looking for a great place and honest people to work in your car please go to Edge auto. I have been going here for over a year now and I have no intents of bringing my car anywhere else. I never once had any issues with them, they are extremely professional and you can tell they genuinely do care about their customers. They are very fair in pricing and definitely trustworthy. I live in Dryden NY and brought my car in one time when I had a breakdown in Binghamton. I now drive down from Dryden to Edge Auto when I need repairs. They are the best.

Edge Auto is great! They were nice, helpful, and efficient! I went by to drop a friend off for his car and out of nowhere my car started smoking. Right then and there they went out, brought it in and diagnosed it. Gave me a great price on a newradiator and got it done in less than two days. They were friendly, didn t pull any tricks, and included me in their Technet service that they give all customers. Great student discount too! My friend (Gerald) recommended that I go here to get work done on my car (Chevy Malibu 2009) and I do not regret it at all. Absolutely Fabulous! Super fast service, super reasonable price, and a wonderful staff. New to the area and I was terrified to bring my old Benz to a new shop, but these wonderful people put my mind at ease very quickly. They are honest and my car was done for a more than fair price. Steve did the timing belt on my 2009 Honda Pilot. He also fixed my starter recently. He has also done work on my other car in the past. This is a mechanic who knows what he is doing and all at a great prices. You can trust Steve with your vehicle and with what he says and that is a great feeling!!! I highly recommend Edge Auto Repair. You won't find a more reliable, honest, and knowledgeable mechanic than Steve. Go see him, you'll be glad you did. Ps.Ally is great too!!! Thank you Edge Auto!!!

Excellent experience. The exhaust heat shield of my car was cracked. I was hearing a rattling noise. Some other shop in Binghamton (which advertises for having cheap service cost) told me the catalyst converter and the muffler needed to be replaced (>$2000). The engine light was off and I could not not believe a rattling noise from the front passenger side can be from any of these two parts! I am glad that I found Edge Auto Repair. They fixed it for less than a hundred. Experienced mechanics who did not rip me off.

Wonderful Auto Repair! Dependable, kind wonderful staff! My daughter had a mishap with her car, Steve and his staff were so understanding and compassionate! He did a great job on the mechanical repairs as well as the body of the car! We felt he was fair and honest. It was reassuring and refreshing to deal with such a great auto shop! Highly recommend them and I would go back without a hesitation!

Had alternator charging problems, called them up and the front desk lady Allie was her name, was very helpful. Got me in instantly and the time it took for them to change it was impressive. Looking for a shop that is not only very competent but also very professional? If so, you need to look no further than Edge Auto Repair. It begins with the owner Steve. Steve is very professional and honest. You can trust his diagnosis and be assured he is not making up a problem that doesn't exist in order to put money in his account. I've been going to Edge for years and recently Edge replaced my coolant control valve with what turned out to be a faulty part. Steve diagnosed it as being faulty and replaced it with another part ASAP free of charge. I can't ask for more than that from a shop.

Wipers stopped working on my wife s car last week. I ve had this issue twice before with my money pit Saturn Aura. Each time before was over 400 bucks to repair. Called Edge Auto based on referral from my sister in-law. They got me in same day and repaired it in under an hour as a large storm was pouring down outside. The price was under 200 bucks. Never been happier leaving an auto mechanics. Will definitely go back for future Repair needs. A+

I moved to Binghamton for school and needed a local auto mechanic to service my cars. While at the Binghamton UDC, I asked a state trooper if he knew a mechanic and he referred me to Steve at Edge Auto Repair. I'm glad I followed up because this is one of the best mechanic shops that I brought my cars to get serviced.There are several positive experiences that I could write about for this particular auto repair shop. However, this is the one experience that made me continue to do business with them and show why this auto repair shop is top-notch:Prior to moving to Binghamton, I went to 4 different auto repair shops in the Hudson Valley to fix a leaking A/C (2008 Altima) and none of them were able to diagnose the problem. Some of their comments were: "Ohhh it's most likely the evaporator. We didn't find any visible leaks so it has to be leaking. We'll have to go through your dashboard but this will take time and be expensive", "We checked your AC system and didn't find any visible leaks", "I can't find any leaks with your A/C... bring your car back in a few months for another recharge". After receiving similar opinions from 4 different auto repair shops, I started to believe that my car's A/C was done for.When I brought my car to Edge Auto for an oil change, I asked Steve if he could diagnose why my A/C wasn't working just for the heck of it. A few hours later, I get a phone call from him and he explained that he found a few leaks in the A/C system. I immediately thought... "If the last 4 shops didn't find any leaks, what did he find and how?? "Is this going to be expensive based on what the other mechanics recommended?" He further explained that a common car A/C problem is faulty O-Rings, which is where he found the leaks and are inexpensive to replace. So, he replaced the O-Rings, recharged and retested the A/C system, and everything looked well afterwards. It's been almost 3 years since that service and my A/C is still working perfectly! This was a normal day at work for Steve at Edge Auto to diagnose and rectify an A/C problem that I couldn't get a straight answer from other repair shops.If you're searching for an auto repair shop in the Binghamton area, give Edge Auto a try. This is a competent, affordable (there are also student, military, and senior discounts), and honest shop.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Air conditioning, Oil change

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. They were able to help me find out what was wrong with my car, order a part, and make sure my warranty company was going to cover it. Then, got my car in that same day to be fixed! My car broke down at 9am and was fixed by 430 that afternoon! Couldn't ask for better service than that! When the warranty company gave us a hard time they made sure they didn't back down. Thanks so much guys! Amazing service!

Best repair shop in Binghamton area I've experienced so far.I can always pick up my vehicle from them with a happy smile on my face.As a student in BU (short of money), I think they are very empathetic and practical. They saved me lots of money by pinpointing the issue and avoiding unnecessary repairs. My vehicle is 2000 xterra and for three years I've had many works done by them as brake line leakages, fan belts, brakes, tire changes, and alignments etc.They are so honest that once they diagnosed my ABS for free as my ABS light comes on and off and by the time I dropped my vehicle to them, the light wasn't on and I forgot to tell them to ignore the light if it comes on (which it did...).All the people there are friendly and helpful as they took time to explain the problems and the fixes done. I hope there are more shops like them.
