Well by the sounds of all the other reviews that I am reading the exact same thing is happening has happened to me. They claim to have rebuilt my lower end unit. I ended up taking my boat to the water they did not fix what they said they repaired. I now have to spend another $2200 to have my lower end rebuilt again. He stated my engine was seized up and that I would have to get a new engine. He stated it would cost me four to $5000 to replace the engine. Come to find out my engine is fine he never replaced any parts in the lower end unit. This guy is a huge scammer. I do not recommend him at all to anybody.

They tried telling my mom she needed the entire engine rebuilt, pricing her at 5-6k. After hearing this I looked and noticed that the starter was from a 350 block, and not a marine starter. I took the boat to a friend to have him access the engine. Turns out the starter was wrong and the heads needed gaskets. They just want money so my friend changed the starter and the engine ran, was not seized like they said. Now for the gaskets. Don t trust these guys to access something for $92.00 and jip you for more.

The repair service is very subpar. I went to have bellows installed and the next thing I know they are pulling the engine out of the boat. Upon re-installation, they forgot to reconnect the main wiring harness, the carb linkages, the coolant hoses, and various other parts. I went to start the boat and nothing happened. Long story short, they will low ball pricing and they hit you up with a huge bill. I was quoted $700 and ended up paying $2,200. The mechanics are not very professional either. I finally ended up taking the boat to another marina and had them repair all the shortcomings that resulted from Shore Acres Boat Yard. Would not recommend at all. I have never in my life ever written a review but this was warranted to save others the headaches I had to endure

Brought my boat here for what the owner explained as "just a few hours labor". $1500 later I'll never be back. Even charged me $55 to pump out the fuel and put it back in again because they decided it was "ok".

They did a fantastic job getting my propeller back to me in time for the 4th of July weekend at a reasonable price. I was very impressed.

Friendly and takes care if all our needs. Worked on our behalf when we had motor problems that were clearly the manufacturers fault.

Easily accessable for boaters.,Can just get gas while in the water or get help with repairs.
