This campground looked really cool and great! But our site (1T) was really disappointing. While 2T across the path was big, had a tent pad, and level, 1T was basically all but a small hill with no tent pad that we saw. Because the best place to put our tent was at the bottom of this hill, our tent got partially flooded by a persistent rain. We were only staying for a night while we traveled, so this was our main experience at this campground. It was an affordable site, at least, but I d avoid it if we come here again in our travels and opt for 2T or similar.Otherwise, the bathrooms were clean and the shower water got hot! Quiet hours started at 11, so keep that in mind if you prefer to tuck in earlier.

We live only 40 minutes away and have been looking for a nearby campground to take our small class C RV when we are pressed for time but still want that camping experience. This is our new go to place for that. Beautiful, quiet woods, generous space between campsites, lots of upgrades with good quality electric/ water hookups. Plenty of sites with sewer hookups or an easy access dump station on premises too.Super dog friendly with several designated penned in areas for unleashed exercise or impromptu play time with others. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially in the check in / store.

Beautiful campground and our site for our 45 foot motorhome was plenty long enough and level. It is a beautiful campground and we had fun fishing in the lake. Our dog really enjoyed the dog parks which were clean and shaded. We saw many improvements being made too. The part I couldn't understand was how many open camping spots there were. With all the amenities and being very kid friendly and reasonably priced I would have expected they to be full the whole time we were there. We spent 16 days there during July 2023, the weather was perfect and there were very few bugs. I can't wait to go back again.

My family and I camped here for the first time using our recently purchased travel trailer. Our 2 girls are 4 and 9 years old and we brought our 2 medium size dogs. The camp site was perfect as we were by the pond, playground and facilities. The kids had a blast on the paddle boat and swimming in the pond and my wife and I enjoyed the beautiful setting of the pond and campers all around. I would recommend Spacious Skies to anyone, w/ or w/ out children to go camping here. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and from what we saw the grounds and bathrooms were kept very clean. There was also a good size dog park right next to the swings and pond which was super convenient. If you have children they have a movie night with popcorn in the pavilion, which is covered so rain or shine. We are very happy with our experience and plan to come back as soon as we can. Camp on!

We rented the cottage at Woodland hills with another couple and their dog. We had a wonderful time. I did like the fact that the cottage was next to the beach as we plan on going back next year and have the Grandson visit. The staff we encountered were all great. They do need to work on the wifi as the TVs in the cottage would not even connect to it but if you are camping you should be by the campfire not watching TV right? The kitchen in the cottage could use some more supplies or at least people should be made aware of exactly what is there. An example would be no sharp knives like steak knives. We are cooking snobs so brought our own stuff so it was a non issue for us. Also a broom and dust pan would have been good so we could sweep a few times as we were there 4 days. Not trying to be negative just a few suggestions. Like I said we had a great time and plan on returning

What a beautiful place. Billy the manager was extremely helpful. The showers only had cold water she immediately had someone go and fix and the shower was nice. The floating dock was awesome for my grandkids they had so much fun out in the pond. We took the paddle boat and the kayak out for a spin around the pond and had a blast. We did the mining experience and got lots of stones and shark teeth. Would definitely be scheduling another trip to this location.

My family and friends had a great time. The place is beautiful and relaxing. We stayed by the pond. Our kids had fun fishing. Free paddle boat and kayak use is a plus. The site for the trailer where we stayed is really spacious as the camp name says which we love. Bathrooms were clean although there s only 2 public BR, hope they put up some more for the convenience of tent campers. My kids had a good time so we definitely come back with more friends next time. Looking forward to use the in-ground pool being constructed presently on our next stay.

The campground is pretty. Its also quiet. We were only there for one night. We noted that there were a couple of dog parks on site. Children were riding bikes around camp and hanging out in the game and gem area. Check in and out were quick and easy. The location is fairly close to I90, making it somewhat convenient, but be aware the roads going into the site are gravel not paved. One concerning issue: we struggled with the online reservation system to get a site we wanted, attempting 3 or 4 times. Once a site was successfully chosen and reserved, we were given the option to secure or guarantee the spot we chose by paying $20 more. Why make us struggle to pick a spot and then imply we may not get the space we paid for already unless we paid more money? That was disconcerting and we almost cancelled because of it.

Wife and I have been coming here for the past couple years. Woodland Hills is definitely one of our favorite campgrounds that we camp at locally. Sites are nicely laid out, utilities are up to date. Staff are friendly. Always a great time!

Liked the layout of the sites however, the wifi in our area was broken. Downloads / uploads ran around 1mb if it worked at all. And very limited cell service in the area to use as a backup. Told the office who said they'd send someone but the issue was never resolved. Worth noting is that the wifi near the office was fine. Also had to deal with the smell of the septic system. Which wasn't fun. Overall not the best camping experience.

We can only speak to our limited experience. It's a beautiful area and we are grateful there is an RV camp in the area.We were given a site in the "seasonal" section, meaning the site was not really a formal site. It was horribly uneven (wheels of 5th wheel of the ground several inches once balanced. Stairs reqired cinderblocks under them to reach the ground). I could not have backed in or pulled out with 4-wheel drive. The mud was sooo deep. The minuscule gravel they had laid down helped a bit, but not much. The utilities were all at the very back of the rig. Even with a borrowed sewer extension, lines would reach. Required two 25-foot water-lines. 30-amp breaker popped without much of a load.

Stayed at the primative camp sites for the holiday weekend, the sites themselves could have been groomed a bit, but overall were really nice and flat for our larger group to put our tents and chairs, bathrooms are brand new and they seem to be doing a lot of work to improve the whole camp ground. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. No Verizon cell coverage in the area, but that didn't bother us as it was very pleasant to unplug and just enjoy the company and the outdoors.

Amazingly welcoming of my LGBTQ family. Kids had a blast with all the fun activities - fishing, swimming, jumping pillow, volleyball, movie night and arcade. Felt safe having my 8 and 11 year old move around the campground independently. Definitely largely an RV campsite but supportive of tent campers as well. Bathrooms are a bit far from the tent sites though. A few hours from NYC by car but worth the trip. Will definitely come back.

This was a fantastic campground and our campsite was perfect. We loved the private dog pen and how flat and large the site was. Only negative was....The bathroom near our site was closed (under renovation), and the internet was spotty. But that is the only improvement I would suggest. Awesome campground!!Nearby activities: High falls- hiking.

I was concerned when I read the reviews but so glad I went through with booking. Campground was perfect for a family and very pet friendly. Every staff person I encountered was friendly and helpful. There is a pond with a dock, kayaks, dog parks, sites with dog pens, playgrounds, arcade, jumping pillow and a pool is under construction. No complaints, had a great time and look forward to going back.

For many years this was a lovely little family campground with fun activities where everyone was very friendly and eager to help a stranger in need. It was sold to a company a few years ago that has doubled prices (at least) while also removing amenities and activities. The former pretty campground has been left in disarray with half finished improvements everywhere. Almost all of the long term faithful customers were driven out by their new rules, lack of communication, rude treatment by management, or just plain kicked out without any explanation given. The place is now quite barren. The company s owners started camping during the pandemic but know nothing about running campgrounds or customer service. They ve gone through two general managers in two years and will be on their third in 2023 so don t expect much from management either. Spacious Skies is not kid friendly so be sure to read the rules before booking if you have kids.Response to Business Response: So why were activities canceled the last two years and why were we told their cost could not be justified ? Not to mention being told that kids in the campground made the place look like a circus . But no thanks, I ve seen the disarray you re leaving the campground in. And saw how you re inviting strangers to disassemble pieces of the pavilion for scrap wood. I don t need to see the mess.

My wife and I spent a fantasic weekend tent camping at this wonderful gem of a campground. The Brand new bathhouse was an added perk along with a movie on the beach. The pond with kayaks and a paddle boat for free is great for exploring or sitting next to having morning coffee. There s just enough stuff for kids to do without being overwhelming. Would highly recommend! We booked another weekend before we got home from this one!! The staff were extremely pleasant helpful and all around nice.

We were skeptical on our first visit. We're new to RVing and are not at all thrilled with the space most campsites have with hookups because it looks like parking lot camping but here, they have huge tent sites with electric and water. We will get the same site each time we go and enjoy privacy in a large, clean wooded site far from kids and commotion. Super easy dump station. Just 15 minutes from Tanglewood. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We look forward to going every year.Nearby activities: Easy commute to Tanglewood that avoids traffic.

From staff (amazing new management) to location, this was such a pleasant stay. They have a store that is open until 7pm with all the necessary items you might have left (some gear to food and even ice cream). You can book a paddle boat or kayak for 30 minutes for FREE. They play movies on an inflatable projection screen. It s in the middle of nowhere which means you sleep with the beautiful sound of the woods. Amazing amazing camping experience

Our site was gravel and level with beautiful thick grass and plants along the edge of the grass. This campground seems to be under new ownership with construction and improvements being made.We enjoyed our time here. The sites need to be clearly marked. The site number was all the way into the site as oppose to the entrance so it was very hard to read and navigate to find our site. There were a lot of teenagers who were screaming curse words while swimming and another group of teens using curse words on the bounce pillow. We also saw a group of kids that were trying to antagonize and fight another kid. A few adults stopped and talked to them about being respectful. Parents are ultimately at fault for not instilling a sense of respect in their kids but I've never come across this issue at any other campground before. In those instances we had to move on to another activity.

Stayed here 7/15/22 for 2 nights. I read the reviews from the unhappy seasonal campers that were charged the extra fee this year and how many left and there was nothing to do. Well, there is a beautiful new playground now in one section, I saw the equipment waiting to be set up in the other section, the lake is clean, paddle boats are free, the games were out for the weekend (I'm sure they would put them out is someone asked during the week). Everyone I dealt with was very pleasant. I have inquired about seasonal camping and I don't think that the fee they upped to is overcharging. they are doing lots of renovations and in this economic climate it is expensive and there are delays. In my opinion, I would go back, as we had an awesome campsite and we saw many more that we would stay at. there are a lot of seasonal campers still there, most with beautiful set ups. Truthfully this is one of the nicer campgrounds we have been to in recent years, and we have done a lot of camping. the only thing I would say is that the bathhouses are not conveniently located. I did not go in so I cannot speak to cleanliness. They are getting a bad rap for being sold to a more corporate company, but lots of campgrounds are going that way as owners get older. So go and see for yourself, don't listen to the bad reviews, I didn't.

This was the third Spacious Sky s we stayed at in last month, they all are nice campgrounds, this one is a work in progress. Not great for overnight by us, dirt road aways off highway but if we returned for longer stay in area we would stay.People are nice and friendly.

I ve camped here for about 4-5 years and last summer was my last. The new owners are a little rude and have extremely over priced tickets for very little to do. The water had always been gross, and the playgrounds were taken out the first time I had gone there over the summer. Eventually they added new playgrounds but only for younger kids. Even though the old park was very old teens could make some fun out of it. Another thing is that there wasn t any activity s like previous years, I had heard that it was mostly parents that had kids making the activities and it wasn t common for them to happen. I no longer recommend this campground.
