The staff was friendly and helped me understand what work was being done as well as what the cost and wait times were going to be. Professional and courteous. Work was completed and my car was left clean and in great condition. Very happy to use this Pep Boys location.

My new favorite place to take my car! Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, they did an oil change and the maintenance. Better prices than others places I ve been in. Excellent service , they go above and beyond ! Thank you!

Andy provided great analysis on how to help me maintain the health of my car. He brings great energy into the workplace and is a great leader. I choose this location because I know that the team is reliable and I always look forward to learning more about my car from the team here.

I recently visited this tire shop and had a fantastic experience. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient. They helped me with a wheel alignment and tire balance for my car, and the service was quick. Overall, great customer service. Highly recommend this Pep Boys!

These guys are so kind, knowledgeable, and willing to explain/talk out what my vehicle needs. It's always nice to go to a place where I don't feel like I'm trying to be upsold, especially as someone who doesn't know much about cars. Definitely recommend!

Brought my old 2010 Prius in for front hub assembly replacement + engine air filter replacement + Toyota scheduled maintenance around midday, following some unexpected noise at high speeds on the interstate. Got a call in the afternoon informing me the struts were bending and needed replacement; engineer sent me some photos of the strut, and I agreed it needed replacement. All of the work was completed before end of day. The prius controls tighter and the noise is now gone. Very happy with the service I received!

Angelo and his staff are amazing. I work with a fleet of cars and they always try to get our cars serviced quickly and efficiently. He is a man of his word and nothing but great service. Definitely recommend.

This location here in Astoria is honestly one of their best locations, unlike the metropolitan one... that place is just straight up trash. The service and the staff are so horrible... I almost stopped going to pep boys until one day I happened to stumble along this location. Then the game changed lol. As long as you follow a good schedule with this Astoria location, you'll be in and out of here without any issues. I always try to get the first appointment available for the day and so far, this has been my go to location for services. Most times they don't have parts in stock, however if you call in advance when you make the appointment, they can have parts shipped to them. If you don't make an early appointment though you are looking to sit there all day as they do fill up fast so be warned about that. I'd wait an extra week to get the first morning appointment rather than to go at midday. At that point you'll be there all day. So, plan accordingly and you'll have a good visit. Don't plan and you may be a very frustrated customer. It's all about your gameplan with these types of businesses.

6 stars if I could. Remember when you used to be able to go to a shop, and feel confident that they were doing a good job because they treated you with respect, spoke about your issue intelligently, and made sure you were taken care of? This place is like that. These guys fixed the bad balancing job that I got at another PB location (which they aren't compensated for btw), and couldn't have been nicer. The manager is legit, and they will definitely be getting my business in the future- even though I have to travel up there from Brooklyn.

I normally bring my car into a shop for a check up every 3 months. However, my mechanics retired almost a year ago and I really didn't know where to go. I discovered Pep Boys by chance online and I couldn't be happier with the whole process from beginning to end. Everyone was very helpful. They showed me the underneath of my car and explained what it needed and what it didn't need at this time. I'm so happy to have found them and now I can have peace of mind again knowing I have somewhere to bring my car when it needs repair.

I went in for an inspection. I was informed the brakes and rotors needed replacing and that my vehicle failed inspection due to metal on metal contact. I was quoted over $1,100 for brake and rotor replacement. I opted out of the service as I m capable of replacing my brake pads and rotors. I purchased rear rotars and brake pads for all 4 wheels for $250. I replaced the front pads and found the rear rotors in tact and rear pads with meat left on the bone. I was lied to, and paid for the NY State failed inspection.I will be returning my car and pads to the Astoria inspection site tomorrow in the hopes of my vehicle passing inspection.This was poor service at best, and fraudulent and malicious information about the state of my brakes to separate me and my hard earned money for unnecessary parts and service at worst.

Why even make an appointment if it s not honored??!! I had an 11am oil change appointment, was told it would be done in 40 mins so I opted to wait. It has been over 2 hours and they still have not finished. It took almost 2 hours to even bring my car in! Why would I take the time to schedule an appt and move my personal schedule around to accommodate it and the same respect not given to the customer. Never again will we be using pep boys. Jiffy lube is your best bet.

I came here for a car inspection. They were charging about half of what one of their competitors was asking for. All staff were friendly. I would definitely come back!

Very helpful and prompt service. There was complete transparency as to the services, the related costs, and the amount of time needed. I had an oil change and wheel balancing which were done quickly and efficiently.

After I review the comments, I made an appointment and called the store a week ahead to check if I should bring in my own oil filter because I see a lot of people run into the problem of waiting hours because the store needs to order their oil filters. The store told me that I don t need to worry about this problem because my oil filter is a rather common one and they always have it in stock. But when I came this morning with lots of schedule planned for the day, they told me they have to order my oil filter and I have to wait for longer time to get my oil exchange done. If they told me this beforehand, I would order my oil filter and bring it in to the store. If you need to confirm on anything beforehand, call them and ask for the manager. My oil exchange experience ended up taking a little above an hour, but the experience could be smoother.

Such a great customer service!. Love all the staff. Everything was quick and convenient. I got my full set of tires and a battery for a great and reasonable price. Totally recommend this location. ASTORIA PEP BOYS. THANK YOU AGAIN

I went to get my cars annual state inspection and an oil change. I made the appointment for 8am and the inspector was running late. Something that usually is done within an hour, took 2 hours. The front desk person was helpful and apologized for the inconvenience.

Very unprofessional. Manager angelo should not be a manager. He doesn t know how to talk to people.not that he knows how to do his business!!!!they Don t keep appointments should never make one. First time and last time!!!

Well done to everybody there customer service was on point better compared to Tremont, the manager Angelo was excellent and knowledgeable about cars too, and I didn't feel like they were pressuring me to do anything, they let me know before doing any work besides what I came for, I came in to get a brake inspection and possiblynew rotors and spotted my sway bars was completely damaged and let me know if i wanted it fixed and they done everything in a timely manner.Thank you guysIf you value your time, you would come to this one in Astoria!!

They are always fabulous! Woke up to a low tire on Monday of Labor Day weekend. Not only were they open, but they took me right away, repaired the tire for $30, and I was on my way in 1/2 hour to enjoy the holiday. I especially commend the woman at the desk (forgot her name -- Jessica) who was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Great experience. I will be back as a customer.
