I recently moved to Copiague and was looking for a reliable trustworthy mechanic and found NYS discount Tire & Auto, met Jimmy, I first brought in my daughter car 2013 Ford Edge needed oil change and inspection he immediately notified us it needed brakes replacement, the job was done fast and price was very reasonable. 2 days later I took my 2007 Ford Explorer needed new tires, inspection ,oil change, he inspected the car before installing the new tires and notified me rotors, breaks and calipers were in poor condition rear were broken, he explained and answered all my questions before doing any work also he recommended Falken tires, the service was completed before 3pm, I can say now I feel safe driving my car it rides smooth love the new tires they are heavy duty I don't even feel the bumps/potholes. I didn't feel silly or intimidated talking with Jimmy he was friendly and patience. I will definitely come back and recommend this shop. Thank you Jimmy!

Amazing customer service, once you go there you won t want to bring your vehicle anywhere else. As a woman I am always leery about getting ripped off by mechanics, and this has never happened to me here. Straight forward and the work is done promptly and Jimmy will never steer you wrong.

I can t say enough positive things about my experience at NYS Discount Tire & Auto. Jimmy and his crew are honest and caring.I sensed something had been off with the way my car was handling, but what I didn t realize was that my car was a death trap due to one of the tie rods not being secured properly after an alignment was performed somewhere else. I don t think I m exaggerating when I say Jimmy saved my life. I ll never take my car anywhere else other than NYS Discount Tire &Auto.

Jimmy and his team are incredible at what they do! I went into the shop and needed a new tire. Jimmy and team were extremely helpful and efficient in getting me a new tire. They were able to order and install the new tire on my vehicle all in a 24 time span, which means a lot to me, as I needed it done ASAP for travel purposes. The guys at NYS Discount tire & Auto are the best! Jimmy and his crew are absolute professionals. Jimmy you saved us again! we had valve cover gaskets replaced both right and left along with power steering pump, control arms, exhaust, ac compressor and tires! All this and the price was beyond fair as it was a fraction of the cost.If I would've gone somewhere else! Thanks again Jimmy, your the best!

NYS Discount Tire & Auto came highly recommended from others in my town. It was my first time using them for auto repairs. AS a stranger James treated me as a friend. Not only did he take the time to explain what I needed and what I didn't, he offered the care and time as if it was his own car. He discussed the work to be done before hand and gave me options with a review to match the criteria. I needed brakes, suspension, tune-up and oil change and tires. He had the work done same day. I have dealt with many auto repair shops and work this involved is usually a 2 day process with a shop as busy as his. Not with Jimmy! He had his team work on my car and get it done in less than 12 hours! They take pride in the job they do and they love the work. His prices are unbeatable for the service and care he provides and the honesty in pricing shows through. I am a new customer here, but I certainly was not made to feel like one I was offered transportation home at drop off had I needed it. My car was done and ready with efficiency and quickly, considering how inconvenient it is to be without a car on Long Island, this was very important to me. The owner was extremely generous with giving me 2 tires free of charge bc mine were very very worn out and dangerous to continue driving. Jimmy was very honest and upfront about what my car needed. His prices were fair and he did not try to sell me anything. I told him what I wanted; a good quality tire and he came back with 2 options explaining the difference and his clients experiences with both tires. He also called before he did any additional maintenance to let us know what the car needed. I will definitely go back to him for regular maintenance on my car. This place is just full of really decent people. I dropped my car off to get inspected, not only did they want to give me a lift home they drove my car to my house and dropped it off. I got a flat in my driveway and they had already closed for business and were walking out the shop but hopped in a truck and came over and fixed it for me. I don't know where they fall on the price map whether it's a good value or not, it doesn't really matter because you feel so well taken care of during stressful events. Your car not working as stressful and everyone here seems to be so kind.

As a single Mom, I didn t have reliable and trustworthy mechanics available to me that I could readily take my vehicle to. I was referred to NYS Discount Tire & Auto by my friend and I m SO Grateful! Today I purchased my first vehicle from James Giambrone. He has been my go to mechanic for a few years now and although I do not live close, I would always travel because I trust him and the quality of work, honesty and reliability are unmatched.Just as the vehicle I purchased is the last of its kind (big rear wheel drive American land yachts) I honestly believe Jimmy is one of the last honest and trustworthy mechanics left. He doesn t see dollar signs when a customer walks in. He sees a person and treats us all accordingly. The work speaks for itself and I look forward to many more years of reliable service from Jimmy and his crew. Maybe even a few more car purchases as well. I'm new in the area. I needed tires and I called/visited several shops that had good reviews. NYS tire was one of them and I spoke with Jim. He suggested the Falken Wildpeak. This was one of the brands i was considering.Hereommended this brand and being just as good if not better than Goodyear Duratrack and a better price.
