German Auto Repair is our go to repair shop for our Porsche vehicles. Ken is great at diagnosing any difficulties and making repairs quickly and efficiently. Susan always finds time to schedule our maintenance and repairs in a timely manner. She also keeps us informed throughout the day on our vehicles progress. They are absolutely wonderful to deal with. The only place you should take your German automobile. I have been taking my Porsche and BMW to German Auto Repair Technicians for several years now and I would never go anywhere else. I only wish I knew about them sooner. Susan is hands on and always explains everything that Ken needs to do to repair your car. Ken treats your car like his own, going over the entire car and making sure everything is taken care of. Let me put it to you plainly: Don t bother taking your car anywhere else. I have been taking my MINI and Audi to German Auto Repair Technicians for about 10 years now-and for good reason. Ken (technician) and Susan (office manager) are exceptional professionals- flexible, knowledgeable, no-nonsense and actually, altogether great people. We live in Manhattan and have used other mechanics who didn t know what they were doing, gave us incorrect information, never quite got the repair right... etc. Dealerships especially would consistently find superfluous work to be done on the cars and charge handsomely for it! HONEST and KNOWLEDGEABLE are two key qualities in entrusting someone to service your car. Ken and Susan have got it! Ken quickly identifies the problem, fixes the problem (no matter how complex-he s done it all!) and keeps our cars running safely and beautifully! Susan is very communicative and books within reasonable parameters of this busy shop, lets you know how much the job will cost, and promptly informs you when the job is completed. Outstanding service! Excellent service. Quirky inarticulate mechanic with NO social skills or the ability to communicate.. God complex.Damaged my car right in front of me .Charged me for the damage.refused to look at my leaking BMW. coolant system that I paid him 2200.00 to repair parts and labor because I accused him of doing damage to my coolant hoses.I witnessed the damage it was not an accusation.Estimate was on third of the actual repair. Seeking new mechanic to repair damages and my attorney will do the rest. BMW dealer service is cheaper and guaranteed. Pass on this mutant.

Great auto repair shop! Ken and Susan are extremely professional and have great communication. I will definitely be brining my Porsche back for any future repairs! Cant recommend them enough!

We heard of Ken and Susan 20 years ago from a neighbor. We had a ten-year-old 1980 Volkswagon Vanagon, that was out of commission for one year--no one could fix it! We tried MANY different mechanics. We took the van to Ken and he diagnosed three separate problems that were inter-related and we happily drove that van for another ten years! Since that van, they have kept all of our family's vehicles up and running (Vanagon, Jetta, Rialta camper and Passat) We cannot praise both Ken and Susan for their excellent service and now friendship after all these years.Services: Transmission, Carburetor cleaning, Electrical repair, Air & cabin filter replacement, Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, Auto glass repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning, Battery, Oil change

This guy is incompetent and insane! He charged me $150 for an estimate, to figure out what the issue was. He tells me after wards once he starts working on my car, that it will cost more than the original estimate. I m ok with it since I wanted my car. Once he tells me it s fixed, I go down to the garage to pick it up and the car still has issues! He reschedules me to bring the car back couple weeks later and he charges me another $150 for an estimate on top of a few more hundred of dollars to fix the mechanical portion of my top.Beware of this guy he s a real crook! By the way before this happened I had gone to him for some work and he had left my 02 sensors disconnected causing my check engine light to go off but I didn t learn my lesson unfortunately!

I just purchased a car from Ken and Susan for my daughters. They have been very kind to us. Ken fixed a few things and didn't charge anything. Great customer service!
