Brought my 09 Tahoe here with major transmission issues. And I m normally a guy that stays away from shops. First off Pat the owner was extremely nice. Followed up by Nick the manager who is extremely helpful and willing to work with you the best way they can. Great team. I m extremely happy and would recommend everyone to go there. They have many options and they are very professional.

I brought my 2012 Hundia Santa Fe in with multiple problems. AAMCO diagnosed and fixed them all quickly AND at more affordable prices than anywhere else on the island. Nick was especially helpful. He called to keep me up to date every step of the way with my car repairs and maintained a professional and honest demeanor that was refreshing to work with. I hope I won t need any more repairs soon, but If I do, I ll gladly return to AAMCO Amityville!

The service manager Nicholas is really great. I left my car overnight with their lockbox for the keys, which was super convenient. They are honest and thoroughly diagnose your transmission at no cost. I wanted a second opinion on my old crown vic's transmission (I was told it was done for), so I took it here and lucky for me there was actually nothing wrong with it. Nicholas did not try to cheat me into services I didn't need, which is refreshing for this industry. I would recommend this shop to anyone, and would use them should my car need transmission care.

I brought my 2013 Kia Sorento to this Aamco shop because of its good prior reviews. Nicholas the service manager laid out every possible option to fix my transmission and work out a fair and reasonable price.very happy with how everything turned out. I would definitely recommend AAmco of Amityville for any transmission related repairs.

I brought my Honda Civic to AAMCO for a repair, and I couldn't be happier with the service. An amazing team here at AAMCO! Personalized and professional service that is detail oriented and caters to their customer's needs. They have bent over backwards for me in working to ensure I received the best experience possible in a tough situation. They even arranged financing to help lessen the financial burden. I wouldn't trust my car with any other company. Highly recommended!!

Brought my van back here for check-up after transmission was replaced. Took them exactly the amount of estimated time as they tell you. For me it was 15-20 minutes. Now I can go about my day. Excellent and friendly service.Also while I was here..I noticed they have an associate who can translate Spanish from customers for those who cannot speak English as fluently. It was very great to know they didn't turn them down for help!

My daughter and I took her 2006 Honda CRV to get diagnosed for a transmission problem. It turns out it wasn't the transmission but the brakes.They offered to fix the brakes at a reasonable price but I declined knowing I could do the job myself for less.I was very surprised and pleased to find out they weren't even going to charge me a diagnostic fee. This is the second time I've been at the shop and both times all the workers were very patient and professional . I will definitely consider this shop for any of my automotive needs in the future.

If I could give zero stars I would. Everyone is clueless here. I brought my car in for a jerking... almost a week later and a number of tests done I ended up paying $500 for a new gas cap that should have been $30. I called every day with no new news. Very frustrating and it seems no one knows what they are doing. That goes for management too.

I went for a oil change and check fill the transmission fluid. Oil change was twice the price of competition. The called and said they couldn t check the transmission fluid first. After a second call they said they were able to do it and but there was a broken part but it was full. After getting back home I checked it again and it was low. Transmission had a slip due to the low fluid. Stopped once filled they didn t even reset the change oil light. I called and told them about it. Service manger said I m trying to pull something and that the conversation was recorded. All I wanted was a oil change and transmission fluid checked can t make this stuff up..Service: Transmission

I had a transmission light come up. But when I would turn my car off they light would go away. Took it to Honda dealership and they said without a light they couldn't do anything about it. Brought it to AAMCO Transmissions at amityville and they made me feel like my car was top priority! They found the issue and dealt with it right away. Nicholas gave me a call a few days later saying my car was done. Very happy with how professional and kind everyone was. Would always recommend!! 5 stars!!! We came to Amco transmission because our neighbor recommended them to my husband and boy am I happy. We had the transmission in our vehicle rebuilt at another shop about a year ago and since day one it never felt right, we went back multiple times to complain but always got the run around finally the transmission gave out and wouldn't you know it we were out of warranty. After hearing our sob story Nicholas the manager and Pat the owner assured us that they would fix our transmission right the first time in the most cost effective way possible and boy did they deliver since the moment I picked up my car I knew right away that it was fixed right and driving better than I ever remembered thank you to Nicholas Pat and crew you have a customer for life and I will recommend all my friends and family 10 Stars.

I really want to Thank Nick and Pat from the Amityville AAMCO. I had a very difficult transmission issue, the big problem was with this transmission, many of the parts were either on back order or not even made anymore. Nick looked high and low for parts, tried multiple transmissions, called in special techs and worked for months to try and get the job done, but nothing worked. While this was not the outcome I was hoping for, the Amityville AAMCO team honored the warranty 100%. Nick and Pat were in constant communication with me and kept me up to date regarding the entire process.I hope I never have another transmission issue ever again, but if I do, I will 100% use this AAMCO team. If you have a transmissions issue, know that this team will be honest, they will communicate with your, they will explain things so you can understand them and will make your experience a pleasant as possible.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

I have nothing but good things to say about AAMCO in Amityville. I have been a loyal customer since 2019. Nick, Pat, and the entire team of technicians are top-notch. They have the patience and experience to deal with very difficult warranty companies.I have had my transmission rebuilt and engine replaced here without unessesary issues. They stand by their work and go above and beyond to find a solution to any problem that arises. This shop is 5 star and adds to the strong reputation AAMCO has established. I took my car to AAMCO Transmissions and and I talked to Nicholas. Nicholas was diligent, helpful, and relatable as I built rapport with him right away. They made me feel that my car was in good hands. I called several times and each time nicholas and his staff were so helpful and very respectful.
