We love vacationing at Swan Bay RV resort. However, there is one thing I would like to see management look into changing. On several occasions, we have been scared by the flying embers and lots of smoke entering our camper from our neighbor s camp fire! The fire pits are too close to the adjoining campsites! We feel they would be better if moved nearer to the entrance of the campsites.

This was our first visit to this campground and besides the wind and rain it was okay! All sites have hook up and a cement pad on a good size lot. There were restrooms/ showers available and centrally located. The park had a great play area for kids, a small maintained dog play zone. There were a couple of pavilion that had seating along with a propane fire lit! For fall camping this was a treat! When we were there they had a Oktoberfest event on the Saturday, we had a chance to attend and although it was a short time it was fun!Check in and check out we re clean and easy!Garbage pick up was done daily as well at each site.In our opinion we would come back and we would recommend a stay here if you re passing by!I unfortunately did not get many photos of the park as I normally would but I included a couple of our groups mascot Fred! Along with our travelling Dino s out for there walk!

We loved it here. It's clean, sites are big and level. We stayed after the season so many things were closed. But we can see it's a great place during the season. We'd love to visit again, and will for a few days. We like to stay 1 to 2 weeks at a time but the prices are to high for this area. That's the only down side to this park, most parks are on the river and they're less then half the price. We don't recommend here, as long as you can afford it.Safety: It's a gated park.

Loved this campground. We stayed here over the Labour Day long weekend. It was busy in a good way. The live entertainment at the Tiki bar was great lots of fun was had by all....although drinks were a little on the expensive side.We had the fish from the food truck which was really good and worth every penny. The campground itself is immaculately kept with most sites having a concrete pad and lots of room for big rigs. The office staff were lovely very accommodating friendly and very adapt at their jobs.Location is good just a 5 minute drive into Alexandria Bay where there are many little restaurants and gift shops and a Harbour. Also, being from Canada we aren't allowed to bring in many foods so having the Price Choppers within a 5 min walk of the campground was great. We will certainly be back.

This was our second stay at Swan Bay Resort and again we had a site right on the Bay where we could see ships on the Saint Lawrence. As before, the grounds are absolutely immaculate and well maintained. I would like the staff for allowing us to attach our utility trailer behind our RV so we could load our motorcycle the night before our departure. Normally, this is not allowed, but this prevented us from having to do the hitching and loading in the rain that was forecast for the next morning. Again, our sincere thanks for allowing this.Nearby activities: Taking the boat shuttle to Boldt Castle was my personal favorite trip. During our first stay we took the 1,000 Island boat tour. Both of these trips were through Uncle Sam Boat Tours. Unfortunately, time did not allow us to visit the boat museum in Clayton oy the one associated with Boldt Castle. We did ride over the Wellsley Island where we rode from one end to the other exploring the state park and admiring the houses at the western end (upstream) of the island.Safety: Streets and campsites are lit, but not extreme so campers are unable to enjoy the night sky without light pollution.Walkability: Although my wife and I did not walk, we did see numerous people walking alone or with a friend or walking a dog. They appeared to be having a great time stopping and chatting with other campers.

Can't say enough GREAT things about Swan Bay! We've been visiting friends there for a few years and this was our first year staying there for ourselves. The staff is ALWAYS attentive and pleasant and ready to take care of your needs. The office staff is beyond polite and helpful! Love being able to talk to a human when I call and not a machine or a phone tree!!! The whole experiences is fantastic!!! We LOVE it there! It's like an all inclusive resort - if you leave feeling like you didn't have a great experience, that's on you!! There's so much to do there for kids and adults, you don't really ever need to leave! We've already booked for next year!!!! Thank You to the staff at Swan Bay - you're the best!!!!

Absolutely amazing resort. Extremely clean. Everyone is very friendly. Great amenities. Sites are nicely spaced. Great views of the river. Price Chopper easily accessible. Perfectly located with 5 to 10 minute drives to both Clayton and Alex Bay. Could not ask for a better resort or location. Most relaxed I have been in a long time. Great vacation!!

We love coming there! We come several times over the summer with our family's motor home. I bring my husband there every year at the end of September and stay at the 5th wheel, Wellesley. It is just my husband and I that escape for the weekend and we couldn't be happier. We look forward to our alone visit every year. This year was our second year doing Trunk or Treat and that is another thing we love to do and we cannot wait to come back again next year!

The staff at Swan Bay are amazing! They went above and beyond for us when we had site problems after the huge rain storm. Each staff member we interacted with made us feel as though we were their priority. The sites are amazing, beautiful and the whole resort is sooo clean and well cared for! Thank you Swan Bay for an amazing weekend! We will be back!

It is the best camp resort. My husband and I use to visit various campgrounds around Ny but when we came across swan bay we decided that this is the place for us. Office personnel are great, spacious Rv sites, paved sidewalks and road, very clean bathrooms, tiki bar. There is a food truck if you d like to grab a sandwich or maybe dinner. The food is pretty good, my husband and I were surprised at how good the food was. ( great cheese burgers). My husband and I would always have to pull up camp to visit Alexandria bay but now we just call the front office and ask for the shuttle bus. Best thing ever, adding a shuttle bus for people to get around. We have been here three times just this year. Look forward to next year.

Had a poolside cottage this year. We had our first visit last year (2022) with family and our (then) 8 year old requested to come back again for his birthday this year (we were there for his birthday week last year). The staff is super friendly and super helpful with any questions, etc., the grounds are always being maintained (grass, pool, etc.) and the amenities are just fantastic. Great location and many things in the area to do and the free shuttle is such a huge bonus because we were visiting with several family members who have campers and RVs and don't always have enough vehicle space between all of us to go where we want all at once, and the shuttle saved us! Very convenient to have supermarket and liquor store in walking/golf-cart driving distance too! We can't wait to return again! The hardest part for us (we live in Maryland) is the drive (roughly 7 hours) but well worth the trip!Nearby activities: Nearby towns featuring wine tastings, riverboat tours, shopping and great food!Safety: The grounds were very safe for my son to scoot around on his scooter going from our cottage to my parents' & brother's campsites--lots of kids riding bikes and scooters!Walkability: Convenient to grocery store & liquor store--can walk or rent golf cart if you need a bit more than you can feasibly carry!Food & drinks: Tiki bar and bartender staff soooooooo friendly and amazing!

we loved it!! we had a great time. i have only one very important complaint. we stayed in the welsley trailer and it was very nice . however, it was not so clean. we put towels down on bathroom floor and they were black when we picked them up. the same with kitchen floors. we felt we needed to wash them. the couches have compartments and they were dirty and had candy wrappers from previous visitors. if the place had been cleaner, the experience would have been 100%.

This was our first time staying at Swan Bay Resort with our 5th wheel camper and it definitely will not be our last. This place is top notch. People are very friendly, it is very cleanly, and overall we would give it a 10 out of 10.Food & drinks: There was a food truck on the premises that had excellent food, excellent service and very friendly people running it.

We enjoyed our one night stay at your campground. It was our first time and we were so impressed with your amenities. Fabulous spot! We were able to see the water from our site. Thank you again for creating a memorable experience.Karen and LenOntario, Canada

Very disappointed, I chose to make my reservation in a timely manner that I would be penalized by NOT being afforded the fall discount not only for the original reservation but not even for the night added one week prior to stay. One reason for extending our stay was the discount. Certainly a fall discount is warranted considering many summer amenities are no longer available. A nightly fee of $113 is not justified at this time of year and I believe you realize that or you would not have offered the discount to groups staying in your park nor to others who made later reservations. I have shared our previous positive experience with so many but now feel that it s all about the money with little concern for the customer.Dave and Pauline Simko

This was an excellent place to camp over Memorial Day weekend with concrete parking area and picnic patio. We camped adjacent to our friends and we could see the ships passing through on the water occasionally and we also saw a couple of beautiful white swans nearby. We didn t use it but they have a shuttle that takes you to Alex Bay and another to Clayton, which are very close by. There were 2 swimming pools with a tiki bar and live music next to one of them. They had a couple of good bands while we were there. Great place to stay! We re already making plans to return next year!

Just returned back from our third camping trip in three years at Swan Bay. We always camp in July with my Daughter and her family in adjoining sites, for at least one week or more. When booking for next year, I was told that there would be a $20 extra fee to guarantee our site numbers. We already put down 1/2 the fee that they are holding, with the remainder paid when we check in next year. We have always booked early, so we can get sites close to each other and never have a problem. We already pay close to $100 a day plus metered electricity. I always gave Swan Bay a 5 out of 5 , but now only 4 out of 5.

The resort is wonderful. People are kind. Views gorgeous. My only suggestion would be that your pontoon rentals have a larger anchor. What is offered will not hold the vessel in a the waterways of the St Lawrence (with 10 people) and we were unable to anchor and swim in a protected cove with what was offered unfortunately which was the primary reason we rented. Other than that- would come back again!Food & drinks: Great tiki bar and music

I had a recent stay at Swan Bay Resort and just want to share my experience. I made the mistake of locking myself out of my RV. How, one might ask? Well I was coming back to my site with groceries and unlocked the camper door lock and tossed all my keys inside while I continued to bring in my goodies. I did notice that my key kind got stuck in the top lock a little but didn't think much of it while I continued to grab my last bag of groceries from the truck. I put the last items in the camper, grabbed the dog to take for a walk and closed the door. Upon coming back from our walk, I tried the door and nothing. I was like, did this just happen? Yes, yes it did. My keys to the camper, my truck, my phone, and my purse were all locked safely inside. I asked a couple campers near me if they would try their keys, but we had no luck with their keys either....I know, it was a longshot. I was able to connect to my phone with my smart watch and called the office to see if they had any ideas or locksmiths in the area. A big shout out to Nancy, Sarah, and one other office staffer I didn't get her name. Sarah reached out to the Resort service guy, Jose to see if he had any ideas. Fast forward a little and as the night approached, the office was scheduled to close at 8PM, many of the staff stayed late to wait for a locksmith (who never showed), or help Jose gather some keys they had on site to see if they would work. I forgot to mention that Jose had already gone home for the night and came back just to help me out. After many failed attempts with the keys, we finally had to pop the door open with a screw driver. Needless to say, I have learned many lessons this week, always have a spare set of keys. The most important though, is that people are kind at Swan Bay! I have always known this place was a gem, but the employees really go above and beyond for their guests! Thank you all for your help and kindness.

This was our first time at the campground. Location was easy to find, right off the main highway. The staff was friendly and courteous. Campground was kept clean all the time. We were there for a rally so didn't check out the tiki bar, but the food on the food truck was very good. The only downside was that I asked about a golf cart (all taken) but for $75 you should be able to use them longer than 9am to 6pm. We have gone to other campgrounds and you get use for 24 hours for the same price.

Inconvenient that the key didn't lock the slider by the pool. Disappointed that 2 bedrooms didn't have air conditioner or a fan. Check in gave us incorrect information, they said we needed to buy toilet paper, charcoal for the grill, coffee filters and trash bags. Everything was already there and the grill is gas. We had maintenance come to our place and didn't resolve issue.Good location, pool was clean, boat rental experience very positive. Rick was great.

Just got home from a trip to the St. Lawrence River and a stay at Swan Bay. This place is located conveniently between the town of Clayton and Alexandria Bay. Two nice pools for kids and adults, along with a tiki bar. Facilities are clean and RV sites are really nice. Our only complaint is that we booked our site, near the gazebo and gas fireplace. From 7/27 thru 7/30, that gazebo area was taken over by a large group of people, that were there for a Grand Design RV event. We booked these two sites, a year in advance and I feel as though we should of been notified of this large 4 day event, that consumed an amenity that you have. It should be noted that this was our third visit to Swan Bay.
