After returning for the 3rd time and posting a public review, we received a call from the manager (Bob) apologizing and asking us to remove the review. That was annoying. However bringing it in was the best situation, Jesse and specifically Jesse was helpful, he actively walked through the issues with us, quite literally in hand and handled it himself. It s the best care and quality service we ve had to correct this issue up to this point. Despite the prior issues, of power steering leaks and having to fix things on the fly, it was handled calmly and with grace and is finally (hopefully) resolved and we can back driving safely.

After my first experience with this team and location I decided to return for a more serious issue with my 2020 Honda HRV. Again, this team handled my car with care and confidence. My issues stemmed from corrosion and Jesse did a phenomenal job explaining it to me in a language I could understand with also showing me the part and giving me options to a cheaper solution. I was impressed by Ed who removed the corrosion built up along my battery and the excellent customer service Marc delivered continuously and genuinely. This team is fantastic and family friendly! Bob showcased his personality at the end of my visit with an extremely welcoming and comforting presence as well. This is the kind of team you can trust. midas was awesome. they got my suv in quick. diagnosed my problem and fixed it . the guy at the desk was awesome. he explained everything to me. he was very relatable . they did an excellent job there. I was pleasantly suprised.

I have always been a fan of Midas. I tried a competitor for a year when I moved to Albany. Did not enjoy it. I found this Midas location on central ave. today. I was reminded why I chose Midas the first time around! The team here were great service representatives. Very welcoming and energetic. And they were very efficient as a team. I think I found my new place for car service. Thank you and keep up the great work!

So after a few years of not coming due to previous issues with a former manager I gave this locals chance with both my vehicles. Simple oil changes and tire rotation. Both vehicles (separate dates) took over an hour. And on my personal vehicle it has on the air filter box a sticker . Large white sticker on the black filter box saying washable filter do not discard. It s very easy to see. Tech tried to see a new paper filter to my. Seemed hurt that I didn t fall for the scam. Respect and honesty go quite far and I m not sure if I ll be back. How many people have been scammed this way?

Service advisor was right on and very truthful. Techs were great and show me by pics any work that needed to be looked at in the future. Great work and they do have credit avai if qualified. I'll be back.

Great service team at the Colonie, NY location.Live in Syracuse are but working in Albany last week.Friday afternoon was stuck, my van engine was skipping and unable to make trip back to Syracuse.Both the manager DeShaun and the service tech (didn't catch his name) were great, quickly diagnosed the problem and got me a ride to car rental to pick up vehicle to get back to Syracuse.They also stayed late at Midas so I could stop and grab some things out of my vehicle.Received call next morning around 11, car was all set and ready for pickup.Deshaun again arranged a Lyft from car rental back to Midas (which was greatly appreciated)Work, pricing and timeframe for work were clear and upfront.Thank you for a smooth experience at Colonie Midas.You have two great employees, appreciate that they went above and beyond what was necessary to help me out.Rob Crandall

My review is solely based off of Marc and his excellent customer service skills. I have a 10 month old and he managed to get me in and out the door in less than an hour while being respectful and considerate. Ed who handled my car was very efficient and quick. I will gladly recommend this team and location (Colonie) to everyone in need of maintenance. This team is composed, professional and experienced. Brought in a Maserati Ghibli with an issue and was assured by Marc and Jessie that the car was in good hands. Jessie and the team handled all the issues I had and left the shop with four brand new tires, an alignment, and an oil change. Fantastic customer service and would recommend Midas in Albany to anyone driving a luxury or exotic car.

I went to this place today hoping they could help my Chevy Cobalt. My mom passed in September and I inherited this 2010 Chevy. I love this little car and thought it was just old but needed a cat back and a pipe. Very friendly from initial phone call saying come on in. Felt very welcomed and was kept up to date with progress and I was so happy that the car is much better now. Thank you sincerely. Quite reasonable price also, I appreciate that. Car was ready sooner than expected. All around awesome experience. I felt like they cared and also did a good job. Thanks and would definitely recommend.

I had an appointment for oil change, state inspection and tire rotation. They took 4 hours with my car (I waited) and stripped 10 lugnuts Again (last year it was 4). I had to go purchase them myself because they claimed the lugs were swollen. Did not get reimbursed. Why only there then? They also never fully closed the hood when I got the car back.Update: Midas reached out to me to 'make it right', which must be code for defending their process and policy and leaving the customer with that $100 bill for lug nuts.UPDATE #2 Sept 2023Had a conversation with store today, they are refusing to service our cars due to the review above. FYI for all. They didn't want to resolve the original problem as they stated, instead chose to defend the mechanic's actions. They NEVER offered reimbursement for those lug nuts. I spoke with other certified shop mechanics and it is not a manufacturer defect, it is an educational opportunity for mechanics to slow down when removing and replacing lugs.

I had been so busy with work, putting off an oil change so often, I hadn t noticed how critically low I was on oil life. I had some time to kill and decided to check out this Midas location, from the reviews. They were so helpful, educated, kept a very respectful and welcoming demeanor, and overall, exceptional services. Marc Rosebeck went above and beyond to service my vehicle in a timely and effective manner, all while making sure my three young children were entertained in the waiting area. His honest assistance is hard to find in his line of work but he went above and beyond to make sure my vehicle was serviced properly without trying to add on more work to up my bill. Keep in mind when scheduling tires online call the shop to make sure they physically have them. There is an issue with the website. I did not do this. However the managers that were working both Bob and Jesse were extremely helpful in correcting the issue and making sure I was comfortable with the product and the price I was paying. I didn t feel like I was being tricked into purchasing something more expensive . The manager physically went and picked up tires for me that would for my vehicle so I didn t have to come back at a later date and made sure I was happy with my service. They were definitely busy. I watched as one customer screamed at them over a mistake that he was trying to correct and watched Jesse keep his composure and deescalate the situation,Service: Auto tire replacement

I would especially like to complement and phrase mechanic Ed Decker, as he is excellent in his service and extremely competent in all things, mechanical due to his vast knowledge and decades of experience.
