Lawton's Automotive is number one in my book. Their knowledge and expertise has been great. My experience has always been one of professionalism and I trust the recommendations made for my car. I definitely give a rating of 5.I highly recommended Jerry and his team at Lawton's Automotive.

My front axel snapped off of my car while I was driving I obviously was very distraught and worried. I asked my neighbors where I should bring my car as my family and I didn t have a mechanic. Someone recommended Lawtons Automotive so I had my car towed there. They were extremely professional. I called them up to ask if I could tow my car there and explained what happened. They knew immediately what happened as the type of car I have is prone to it. I got it towed in around 3 and by 6 they were done. He said I could come pick it up even though they were closed bc he was staying later. Extremely professional, explained everything, great customer service! 10/10 would recommend and me and my family will go here if we ever have problems with our cars!

The nicest group of people I ve ever had the pleasure to deal with in auto repair, Jerry, Cole and the whole crew are just fantastic people, went to them with an issue with my car and had the car fixed and ready for me in just a few hours! Call this place! I've been looking for an honest shop for a long time. Lawtons is both honest and does the work right. Highly recommend making this your regular shop.

They were so helpful when i dropped my car off via AAA. My car didnt start and i explained everything that i have already attempted to fix it. They knew about the history of the jeep liberty and said that it could be a recalled part or it could be something more internal. Once the car was brought in they did express that they are very busy but somehow they were able to do a diagnostic on it the next day. That took 30 minutes and he had a clear idea of what the targeted issue was. Sadly the issue was something the dealership has to deal with but the were so open and communitive when it came to the whole process. They also dropped the charges for the diagnostic since they couldnt fix it. Overall very sweet people . You can tell they are all a family and that they just want to help others get there vehicles back in order, no funny business, no scamming just good people. :)

Jerry has taken care of my last 2 cars & my present car. Jerry is very professional & honest. What I like most about Jerry is he will tell me what I need done right away & what can wait to be done, but to plan on doing it. I feel always safe driving my car after Jerry has worked on it. He also pays attention to the smallest details. I wouldn't go any place else & I recommend him to all my friends. I only wish I could have found this place sooner! I came here for my NYS inspection after a few questionable experiences at a prior auto store. Jerry, the owner, took the time to explain the problem that the previous place described. He even took the time to show me that everything was functioning properly on my front brake at no additional cost. I saved myself over $300 in repairs I didn't need by coming here. This was hands down the best experience I've ever had at a mechanic. First you have Tori, who sincerely took the time to get to know what I am calling them for, my truck has a myriad of issues, a long list and she took the time to hear them all. She got me scheduled and on drop off day was a pleasure to work with (side note: I love all the art she surrounds herself with in her office). I was then called by Jerry, who walked me through all of the issues they were able to diagnose and gave me his honest opinion about the truck, as if it was his own. My friend recommended Lawtons to me and now they will be the only ones I recommend and go to for any work.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

What a great experience (hard to believe I'm saying this about a car auto shop) with Lawtons Automotive.My car broke down Friday and I called the first place that came up on a search "near me". Luckily it was Lawtons Automotive. (A shop I had never heard of.)Not only was the owner very friendly and kind when I explained what had happened, he said I could bring my car over and drop it off there, even though he had already closed up for the weekend.He just called me to tell me that he ran all sorts of tests on it, drove it several times and found absolutely nothing wrong with the car. He said he'd like to drive it a bit more today to make sure that it was, in fact, not showing any signs of problems and asked if that was ok with me.Car issues are stressful enough anyway, but to have this kind of experience really took a lot of anxiety out of the situation.Thanks Lawtons!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance

I just had my car serviced today. Once the car was brought to the shop, I felt comfortable. They called within the hour to discuss what was wrong with the car. They offered cheaper solutions than to replace the parts that needed replacing. They did a fantastic job on the car at half the price of the dealership. Will definitely bring my car back in the future.Service: Auto brake repair

What a great experience!!! I was referred by many people to Jerry and he exceeded my expectations!!! The front desk was warm and friendly - love the dogs! My 3year old son had a great time in the waiting room with all the toy trucks;)! Jerry was so kind and honest, he sat down and took his time to explain everything to me in detail about my car and the plan to go forward! I highly recommend this place!! Support local businesses and family owned businesses!!!

My car was having a weird vibration all the time. My partner took my car here to see if they could diagnose the problem. They said it was the breaks and changed them. The vibration got worse. Took it again, they did the same thing, with the same results. We took my car somewhere else, where they were able to solve the issue. I think they re very sloppy and just want to charge you for something even if they don t know what s wrong with the car.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I give Lawtons Automotive a high recommendation. The people are totally awesome!! The quality of care they do with your vehicle is great!! They walk you through everything and explain in full detail whats wrong what needs to be fixed and what work they have done. Wouldn't take my car to any other mechanic. Thanks Lawtons.

My family has been coming here for years! The owner is very honest and won't sell you something you don't need. He'll tell you if your tires can wait until next visit. If you're uncomfortable with a noise he'll check it out and replace just the one part instead of trying to sell you a whole new motor!It's nice to have an honest mechanic! The honesty and integrity is what keeps us coming back.Everyone in my family would highly recommend going here!

I was referred to Lawton s by a student platform called MASH. I have to say this was the best mechanic experience I have ever had in my life. Lawton s was extremely reasonably priced, quick turn around time, and excellent customer service. I will definitely be taking my car there if I ever run into more problems! Hands down most honest mechanic shop I have dealt with.

I don't really write reviews but I decided to write one today because I'm surprised google doesn't have reviews yet of this place. This isn't my first or second time getting great service from Lawtons, but the third time. I have had very bad trust issues with auto mechanics in my 16 years of driving so when I moved to Albany and had my first auto issue, I searched online, went through many reviews, and called out to my friends on Facebook. One of my friends I work with went out of her way to highly recommend this place, and even though there weren't many reviews online, I didn't want to be rude so I hesitantly gave it a shot. I had some difficulty making the very first appointment given my busy schedule, but Jerry Lawton got on the phone himself and squeezed me into the nearest time that was best for me.I have since been back for 2 other issues... and Jerry has only charged me.... once. The one time he charged me, it was extremely reasonable for brake and rotor replacement on my 10 year old car which I specifically asked him for. The other two times, I asked him to inspect the car and troubleshoot for loud dangerous sounding noises and wheel/suspension/strut issues and he repaired both times with minimal time. Even though the issues were not major overhauls, they still took time, effort, and know-how to diagnose and fix the problem. I could not believe each time that he simply handed my keys back with a smile and said all fixed and no charge. He also has NEVER made some random recommendation on some next thing to fix. In fact, he has actually told me when it WASN'T worth fixing something yet!I am now a loyal customer. You will not find a more honest, friendly, affordable place for quality work. The customer service is out of this world. I will be moving in the near future and I feel bad for the mechanics where I plan on moving because Jerry has set the bar very very high.

If I could give 6 stars I would. They are reasonable, ALWAYS go out of their way to make it right and get the job done. They do not make people like Jerry and his son Cole anymore. Great service, really easy to schedule an appointment in a timely manner. Everyone inside was really friendly and they finished my oil change with great efficiency! The dogs in the waiting area were very nice, too!

Great mechanic. If it isn't broken, they won't try to tell me otherwise. Very honest. Very friendly. I never have issues with any work they do. I highly recommend them.

This place is the BEST!! As a woman it is hard to find a garage that won't take advantage of the fact that I don't know a lot about cars. But I can totally trust Lawtons! They are fast and reasonably priced. They will go above and beyond to help resolve the problem. I recommend them to everyone I know.
